Chapter Six: Lunch
"Well that went more smoothly then I imagined." Sherri said, as the group walked out.
"Why?" Gibbs asked.
"With somebody as high profile as myself, it's great gossip when I get into trouble." Harry said.
"Oh yeah, she went to school with you." DiNozzo said. Harry nodded.
"So it's going to be like that for us?" Callen asked, meaning the entire NCIS L.A. team. Sherri nodded. Nell paled at this.
"What's wrong?" Eric asked, being the first one to notice Nell's paling.
"You were a bit of a rebel in school weren't you?" Harry asked.
"Only because there was a classmate of mine that I didn't get along with." Nell said. Harry nodded.
"I doubt she'll try the same tactic on you as she did me. I doubt she had the time to get her hands on your records or mine for that matter. Otherwise the case might be in trouble." Harry said.
"Harry, what did you do?" Abbey asked, slightly mortified.
"Nothing, it was all that witch Umbridge's fault. Just because you don't believe a student is no reason to just hand out detentions willy nilly." Harry said.
"You mean besides interrupting class and starting a club without permission." Justin said, teasing slightly.
"The second one is valid. However, the first one is false, if only because the lines she made me write were 'I must not tell lies.'" Harry said. "If she had made me write 'I must not interrupt class.' that would have made it another matter entirely." The rest of the group nodded.
"She made you write lines?!" Abbey asked shocked.
"She is archaic. I can't believe that she would use something so ineffective as line writing to punish you." She finished.
'It wasn't your typical lines, Abs.' Harry thought. Gibbs looked at his agent after Abbey had finished talking, wondering what the look Harry had was and what his left hand had to do with it.
"Any reason you're suddenly hiding your left hand?" Gibbs asked. Harry looked at his hand in his pocket and sighed.
"Umbridge used a cursed quill that used my own blood as ink. It also caused a cut on my left hand." Harry explained. Only Justin and Harry were unaffected by this.
"That's black magic. She should have been in Azkaban for that." Nell said, in outrage.
"Why didn't you guys report it?" Sherri asked.
"At first I didn't deem it important, and the ministry was trying it's hardest to ruin my public image and that would have just been more fuel. 'Potter Anti-Ministry' 'Potter Delusional: Seeing Black Magic Everywhere'" He said, giving a few sample headlines. "And by the time the rest of the school knew it was too late. She had the entire school under her control, as much as we hated it." Harry said.
"That's terrible. I can see why everybody cheered when Peeves drove her out." Sam said. The rest of the group nodded. By this time the group was in the lobby of the ministry. Sherri led the group to one of the exits. Once they were all out she led the way to a small cafe that was nearby. The conversation turned to more pleasant topics and what to expect for the rest of the day.
