At this point, Im sure your thinking I'm just finding words, but in all honesty I kind of Am. I pull out the dictionary and read definitions until I find the right words.
This chapter is like a direct sequel to the previous chapter.
Definition: Fear of Change
The other day had Roxas on his p's and q's. Jealously was a rare feeling for him and he didn't like the fact that it was around. To be even more frank he didn't like the fact that people were jealous of he and Axel's relationship. That part was scary, you never know what someone may be capable off. What if Saix took Axel away. Then his life would go back to the way it was; sad, miserable and lonely. As much as he usually hid his feelings he couldn't hide these, Axel slowly but surely became his everything.
Early in the day Roxas got out of bed. He wanted to fix breakfast for his beloved as he did every mourning. But this Mourning was different. Usually half way through the process of cooking Axel would come down stairs and greet him with Kisses. Instead this mourning Axel rushed down the stairs, completely dressed. Roxas looked at his boyfriend with a face of wonder. "Sorry, Roxi! I have to go take care of something." With out further explanation Axel gave the blond haired teen a quick peck on the cheek than he left.
Deciding it was pointless to finish cooking, he cut off the stove and put away the things he didn't use. 'Did that just happen.' Roxas was deep in his thoughts now. Axel never left before he had breakfast, and Axel didn't really have 'things' to do. It wasn't that he was lazy or anything. It's just aside from going to work he usually spent all his free time with Roxas. Today was different. It was a change in their daily routine.
Deciding it would be best to stop thinking about what just happened Roxas decided to continue his daily routine; the blond went to shower and get dressed. He didn't want to just sit around at home so he decided to find a job. It would be rather helpful to Axel who was (at the moment) their provider. He didn't really want to go company to company asking if they were hiring so he did the next most efficient thing. He got on his Computer, which was set up in his and Axel's room. Strangely the computer wasn't shut off it was in standby mode.
When the computer mouse was touched the computer screen went from black to showing Axel's Facebook page. It was time like these that Roxas wished he wasn't so curious. At this time, he wished things wasn't going as weird as they were between he and Axel. It was wrong to snoop through someone's personal page, but what else did you do when you needed a way to get information. But this was wrong, Axel and Roxas trusted each other there was no reason for any of this. Deciding it was for the better to get off the page, Roxas was going to close out that tab and open a new.
Before he could even close out, he heard the simple message noise followed by the actual message popping up. He didn't want to be too curious but it was right in front of him and he couldn't help himself. The message was from Saix. It read, 'you let that brat change you'. The message in its self hurt the blond, but it was more painful that it was from him. Saix knew Axel before he did, so maybe Axel did change a lot. Everyone changes though right? So what did it matter if he did change? Roxas stared at the message intently, should he reply or leave it alone? If he replied, then there is a huge chance Axel would get mad for spying on him. If he didn't reply then he would probably still think of his self as worthless.
He had been sitting there for about 10 minutes thinking about what he should do, he didn't even realize that someone was standing right behind him. "Roxas..." The blond teen scrambled quickly to exit out of the page. The voice of his lover startled him, and he didn't want him to see what was on the screen, but he knew it was too late. "Axel, I'm so sorry... It's just... I don't like this Saix guy. He says you changed and I don't want to be the reason you changed. I don't want things to change between us either. I want everything to stay the same. To be great, and fulfilling." Roxas hung his head low as he spoke to Axel. He didn't want his boyfriend to see the tears beginning to fall.
"Roxas.. It's okay. NOTHING is going to change, everything is going to be OK. For the record I never changed, he did." There was a small moment of silence as Roxas wept in the computer chair. Axel knelt down to get on eye level with the blond. "Listen Roxas, you've got to trust me, okay? There is no need to worry about any of this, nothing will change."
"But Axel, you left out this mourning and ... you never leave before breakfast. And I was freaking out... And ever since that Saix guy came around I've been feeling like I would loose you. I really want things to stay this way. I'm scared things will change, or worse go back to what they use to be. Where I am all alone."
Axel looked at his boyfriend. "Roxas, I left out this mourning to get you these." Axel stood up and grabbed the a bag of gifts. In the bad there was some sea-salt ice cream, and a dozen Roses. "I went out to get you some of your favorites, I just wanted to surprise you silly." Roxas looked at his boyfriend. His face went from pale to having a tinted rose on his cheeks. He was relieved, and happy. He threw his arms around Axel's neck. "Thanks, for everything." Axel just hugged his blond back. There was no need for words. There was an intense vibe of love floating around the room.
