Flippy did not know where he was, but he was sure he was within one of the many rooms of a building that is also probably isolated from civilization. Then again, who was left in his town? Practically no one, that is. He struggled around, but soon found out that his hands were bound together. He searched around the room, finding out that there are almost nothing in the said room. It only had a few cardboard boxes that look empty, cobwebs that filled most of the corners, and dust bunnies everywhere on the floor.
He obviously was not in a sanitary area, but he swallowed that down because it was the least of his worries. Flippy was able to get up on his feet and roam freely around the room. He investigated the area, finding nothing useful to his predicament, whatsoever.
In his mind, he prayed to God that he was able to escape and kiss his beloved Splendid while being embraced so tenderly. His yen was strong, he knew this was not the time to think about the other male so fondly until he figured out a way to get out safely in one piece.
While Flippy contemplated over numerous scenarios in his head, Splendid came home to see the place wrecked. He quickly became distraught and ran almost all over the house to find his army man. He got even more distressed once he went into the kitchen and saw blood stains on the floor. Splendid's eyes pricked at him, forcing him to cry tears that burned with his sadness. "Fl-Flip." He stammered as he clenched his heart, emphasizing the emotional pain he felt.
Splendid tried to sleep in his thrashed room that night. He looked at the ceiling, contemplating endlessly about his dear lover. Where was Flippy? What is he doing? Is he safe? Is he dead like the others? What's going on? Questions flooded his brain and he couldn't process them all at the same time, so he pulled at his hair and let out a frustrated grunt.
The empty space in his bed reminded him of the presence of his beloved, the torn up wallpaper reminded him how Flippy really liked them, everything was beginning to become a reminiscing session. He was losing his damn mind, in fact. The crickets did not make a sound, Splendid's heart pumped excruciatingly slow, time was frozen, and the silence was starting to scream in his ear. He missed Flippy so much.
Next morning, Splendid woke up to see his hands were tied together and so was his legs. He flailed around but it did nothing. He was utterly confused, and even became more baffled to see Flippy standing right in front of him. How did he not see him early?
"Flippy! Untie, dear. What's going on?" Splendid exclaimed, worming around on his bed.
"Aren't you just the cutest? I can see why my brother fallen in love with you." The identical twin mocked the other male.
"What are you talking about? Flippy, cut the shit!" Splendid was beginning to yell at this point.
"I see, so you are just denying that I'm actually not Flippy. However, you can say that we both have a little problem that we share." Evil stated so happily.
What problem is there that is not being fucked up in the head? Flippy thought. Only accepting the truth now, he chose to believe some of the words that were coming through Evil's mouth. It was not like he had much choices, anyways.
"Me and Flippy have this really interesting defect, Splendy. And it will be clear as day once you see it with your own eyes soon enough." Evil stated as he began to walk over to Splendid. He picked him up effortlessly while the other male tried to wiggle free.
"Let's have some fun today, Splendid." Flippy giggled as he took him out the door and into a car.
Once Evil drove Splendid to his work building, Splendid knew that this was some cruel joke. Why were they going inside his job?
"If you are wondering, I'm keeping Flippy inside that building. And yes, I killed all of the workers in there already besides you and him." Flippy sensed what the other male was thinking just by his facial expression.
The two were quiet as Evil carried Splendid inside the building. They proceeded to go up the elevator, travel through a few hallways, and finally reached a room with sounds omitting from it. Evil opened the door and there was Flippy, raging and exploding of anger.
Swiftly, Evil cut off Splendid's rope and shoved him forward, which placed him closer to Flippy and the two began to get concern over each other. They smiled weakly before looking back at the menace behind the town's suffering.
"Okay, Splendy. Watch with very, very, very carefully. I am about to show you something demented and frankly, fun." Evil laughed as he took a gun out from the side of his body. He pointed it Flippy, which caused the both of them to flinch and stood petrified at the machinery.
"Well, well, Flips. It's time to show your boyfriend a wonderful trick we both could do. Now come here, before I blow your brains out or better yet, blow his brains out." Evil stated, shifting the gun over to Splendid who was terrified of what was happening to them.
"P-Please! Don't shoot Splendid! I love him too much to lose him!" Flippy cried, cautiously moving forward to his brother. Once he was next to his brother, Evil took hold of Flippy in hostage position, pointing the gun at his brother's head.
"Okie dokie, Splendid. Allow me to tell you a story about my brother and I," Evil articulated as Flippy shook in fear, "My name is Flippy and my brother's name is also Flippy. We were named Flippy because there was something disturbing about us. Awfully disturbing."
"What the fuck are you talking about? Stop this madness!" Splendid yelled once again.
"Get ready to see something twisted, my friend." Evil smiled wickedly, quickly moving the gun to the ceiling and shooting one bullet.
The noise echoed in the room, leaving a heavy atmosphere. Splendid's heart stopped for a moment as did time. Flippy stopped shaking and Evil immediately dropped the gun and began to shiver violently. "That was really loud." Evil said very softly while backing away to a wall, almost ready to cry.
What was going on? Splendid thought as he noticed a sudden change in... personalities... The pieces finally came together and Splendid understood what he meant by having a terrible trait. And the real reason why they were both named Flippy.
"Oooo-Splendy! Be a dear and untie, plwese." Flippy muttered as he walked forward to Splendid with a sinister smile. The vibe coming from Flippy was much more stronger and evil than what his brother gave off.
"H-H-He's the real d-danger. N-N-Not me!" Evil stated, shaking his head as tears flowed down his cheeks. The fact that Flippy and, well, Flippy were identical twins, it almost seemed like that Flippy was his Flippy. Nonetheless, Splendid was horribly confused at what was happening.
"Splendid, help me get out of these darn ropes," Flippy said, now in front of Splendid, "so I can go spill my brother's blood all over the wall and give this austere room a make-over it desperately needs."
Splendid did not know how to react, exactly. He was disgusted at Flippy's new attitude, genuinely confused at the twin's innocent state, and wondering if he was going to die by the hands of his own lover.
"By the looks of your face, I can see that you are awfully confused about all this. Well, allow me to explain to your cute little brain," Flippy articulated as he began walking slowly around Splendid, "I am Flippy. I am the twin brother of Flippy, who is over there having a mental break down. And my brother and I switch our personalities whenever we both hear a shot of a gun at the same time. Meaning that there are times where there are two goody-good Flippy's and two murderous Flippy's. Those times were a bitch, but we were able to balance it out in the end."
Flippy stopped walking around Splendid felt chills stabbing his back. "So, who really started this all? Simple. It was me, Splendy. I was jealous of my brother's innocence and how he always got mom and dad's attention. They never paid much attention to me because everywhere I went, something unfortunate always happens. Whether the family dog gets hit by a car, or our grandma suddenly dies from a heart attack after seeing me for the first time. I was always followed by death, it seemed." Flippy stopped so he could catch his breath.
"So one night, I found one of my dad's handguns and shot them both right in front of brother. At that moment, I felt free and reborn and he became broken and sent off into despair's path. He became twisted and I became happily pure. And that's where it all started. This sick game of tag between us." Flippy darkly chuckled.
Splendid understood most of parts of Flippy's story, but he still had some questions about his past. However, he chose not to ask them for his own safety and whatever was left of his sanity. The blue hair male accepted that this was reality, forcing him to open his eyes despite how blind he was at the situation.
There were two different Flippy's in the room, one was weak and the other was strong. Oddly, both are strong, but their mentality says otherwise. Splendid needed to be able to distinguish the two somehow, besides their horrendous personality disorder. When it came to comparisons, Splendid came up that he was sadly in love with the most villainous-looking one and the other was nothing but a stranger. Besides that, the twins were nothing but lunatics!
"Flippy." Splendid murmured.
"Yes?" Both of them answered simultaneously.
"The one that obviously wants to kill his own brother." Splendid coldly stated.
"Yes, my love?" Flippy retorted with glee, earning a shiver from the blue hair male.
"What made you fall in love with me?" Splendid croaked, the tears burning his eyes.
Flippy actually had to contemplate for a minute. What made his heart beat so fast when he was around Splendid? Much to Flippy's surprise, he had multiple reasons why he loved the other male so much. He had to reminisce the way Splendid had morning breath everyday whenever he woke up, and then he would brush his teeth before giving him his good-morning kiss. Or maybe it was the way they would order their favorite coffee together and sat in peace without having to say a word to each other. Maybe it was the way Splendid's laugh brought a smile on the army fellow's face without effort.
Then again, maybe it was the way Splendid would almost always wear that stupid red mask everywhere because it made him feel like a superhero of some sort. Having that thought brought nostalgia to think that Splendid was his hero in some way. Alas, was Flippy actually the villain to his hero? That was the main question he had to think seriously about.
Welp, that's it for this chapter! As you can tell, we are reaching the end of this story! I am soo happy! Yaay~ I hope I didn't confuse, anger, etc., anyone with that sudden twist in the story. I thought it was pretty interesting to write it that way instead of making Evil (whose name is also Flippy, oddly) just completely and senselessly evil. Sorry if this chapter was crap, though. I'm trying to make things interesting before I end it all.
