Over the next month I had become more accustomed to life at Hogwarts, I spent most of my time with Harry, Ron and Hermione, but Harry especially. Meanwhile, Umbridge had been questioning teachers and passing decrees, left, right and center. Also, the laceration over my mark never healed. In fact it occasionally bled. Especially when I sensed Voldemort.
Once Umbridge learned of my dark mark she called me to her office. Hermione was being a bit protective when she heard, and tried to convince me not to go.
"What does she think that you're a deatheater? Doesn't she know about you being attacked?" she said.
"I don't know. Either the rest of the staff left her out of it or she didn't beilieve them if they told her."
"I still don't think it would be wise to go."
"If I don't then it'll only raise more suspicion."
I didn't tell Harry about it, he had enough to worry about. That and he'd probably raise more hell about it then Hermione.
I knocked on her door and she opened it. I winced back startled to see her. She wore a fake smile on her wrinkled face. Ron can't be more spot on when he calls her Toad face.
"Ah, Miss Jordaens." she said.
"Professor."
She looked at me for a moment then moved aside extending an arm. "Please, do come in," I walked in as she put her arm around my shoulder. I eyed her strangely. She guided me to a chair in front of her desk. She then sat down herself and folded her hands on her desk.
"So Miss Jordaens," she said,
"I understand that there is a new mark on your body other than your scar."
"That would be correct."
"May I see it?"
"Is necessary that you see it?" She laughed that little cheeky laugh, then put on a stern smile. "Yes it is necessary."
I reluctanly unwrapped the bandage and showed her my mark, with the wound running right down the center. She made a terrified face. Then, out of nowhere, my neck twisted like a snake, but not by my own will. Umbirdge looked at me then back at my arm, which was now starting to bleed. She looked at me terrified, and stood up leaning over the desk.
"I don't know what you're trying to do, but I will not tolerate it! I suggest you choose your actions very wiesly Miss Jordaens, or you will regret it." In that split second I had a vision. My eyes grew wide. "Get out!" Barked Umbridge.
I ran out of the room and out of the classroom. I leaned against a wall, holding my arm that was still bleeding. In the vision I had, I saw Umbridge one day working with Voldemort. I wasn't sure when, but I hoped it wasn't anytime soon. I struggled to re-wrap the bandage as tight as I could, but it didn't stop the bleeding. I used a spell to stop the bleeding, "Vulnera Sanentur." It had stopped it for he time being. No matter what I did the wound itself wouldn't heal. I think that was another thing to thank Voldemort for.
About a week later was when Umbridge tried to dismiss professer Trelawny. As Dumbledore left Harry tried to get his attention, but Dumbledore ignored him. I ran up to Harry. He just stood there. I felt sorry for him. I then looked to my left and I saw Malfoy. I froze. He smirked at me. Harry noticed this and led me away.
"You alright?"
"Yeah."
Malfoy had always liked me, eversince we first met. Only as we got older, he got a bit more forceful, especially since the end of last year when I had been more vulnerable. Anytime he would approach me I would freeze, but not because of fear, really but because my body wouldn't move. Almost like I wasn't in control of my own body. This happened more and more after I got the dark mark. Not only did I know this, he did. Because of everything that has happened over the past few months, especially those including his family, I was scared. Even if I was wearing a brave face, it was just for Harry, Ron and Hermione. They didn't need anything more to worry about.
Later that night I was walking back to the Commonroom from the library. All of a sudden Malfoy came out from behind a beam and stopped in front of me. He grabbed my shoulder "Where you off to Jordans?" He said. "It's Jordaens," I shook off his hand, "and I was off to my dormitory. Not that it's any usiness of yours." I started to walk off, but he grabbed my upper amrs and wouldn't let go. "Oh... but I think it is,"
he played with my hair then moved his fingertip down my neck. Once again, my body froze, I tried to move but I couldn't. "What are you doing," I asked him as his finger tips brushed against my breast. I gasped I couldnt move. My arm began to throb, and I looked down and trikles of blood streamed down my fingers. You-Know-Who had something to do with this. I couldn't move no matter how much I wanted to. No matter how much I needed to.
He put his hand on my waist, "You see Jordaens, someone of your, stature, or, importance rather, to the wizarding world should be with someone like me. Also of a higher stature. I'm only trying to help you realize that."
"I think I can get on fine without you," I said starting to panic.
"Well now," He wrapped an arm around my waist and propped his finger under my chin, "who said the choice wads yours to make?" My eyes widdened as his voice sounded almost snake-like toward the end of his sentance. He then quickley reached in and kissed me. I moaned trying get away then I slapped him across the face and ran. Once he recovered from the slap the ran after me.
Fear overcame me. I could see the end of the hall growing further and further no matter how close I came to reaching it. It didn't take long for him to catch up to me. When he did he held my hands behind my back and covered my mouth. "I wouldn't struggle if I were you." My screams were muffled by is hand. He dragged me, kicking and screaming, into a cubbord. I couldn't believethis was happening. It almost seemed as if he was in a trance or possession. At that point I didn't even know if he was in control, but God knows that I wasn't.
