Rescuing the Archeologist 1/The Revenant Seeks, The Siren Sings, and The Wraith Screams 1

[Shepard]

I ordered Joker to head for Therum to investigate the whereabouts of Miss Liara T'soni about her connections with her mother Benezia and see if she is trustworthy or not.

I already checked on how Kaiden, Jackie, Wrex, Garrus, and Ash are doing. Now I just need to check on Paco, Daniel and Tali.

I found Paco having a chat with the Requisition Officer, something about weapon testing.

I went towards him and asked how he was doing and if he has seen Daniel. He said I could find him where Tali's at, which was the Engine Room.

As I entered the room, I find Tali expecting her shotgun with Daniel explaining some things.

Daniel saw me and smiled.

"Shepard! It's nice of you to come and check how your 'new recruits' are doing. I'm just explaining to Tali here of the new modifications for her outdated shotgun and yes they are legal enhancements. So, need some modifications?"

Tali retorted that her shotgun wasn't junk, but he ignored her and I just smiled at how the two are acting like siblings.

I shook my head no,

"Nothing I need to be modified, but please give Tali some slack. Her people could only get the 'hand-me-downs' now a days and a working one at that is still very rare to come by."

Daniel frowns in shame, but give a small apologetic nod to Tali. She doesn't seem like the person to hold a grudge since she forgave him very quickly. I nodded at there efforts for trying to be nice to each other so I went back to my quarters.

As I went through the doors, I passed by Ashley hiding by the door and glaring at Tali and Daniel, specifically at Daniel.

I smiled and shook my head cause when I talked to her, she specifically asked how Tali is doing. She was so embarrassed when I teased her for having a small crush on our resident Quarian.

"Maybe I should ask Daniel for help to play matchmaker with me?" her face gave off a mad grin as the elevator door closed.

[Ash]

I felt a cold shiver run down my spine when Shepard passed by me a couple minutes ago.

I decided to ignore it and went back to glaring daggers at Daniel's head, while imagining the most horrible and gruesome deaths I could imagine giving to him.

[Daniel]

I sneezed and rubbed my nose to shook off my sudden cold.

Tali looked worried, "You okay, Daniel?"

"Yeah I'm fine. Probably somebody talking about me."

She looked confused, "Why do you say that. You're probably just got a cold."

I shook my head, "Nah. With a sneeze like that, you'll know what the difference between a cold-sneeze and a someone-is-talking-about-me-sneeze."

She shrugs her shoulders and went back expecting her shotgun.

I saw movement next to the door when Shepard left the room and saw Ash hiding.

I gave a sly grin and said, "So, Tali. What do you think of Gun. Chief Williams?"

She looks at me for a moment, but I could have sworn I saw a deep purple shade from where I could guess was her cheeks behind her visor. I also saw Ash grew tense from her hiding spot.

"I really don't know much about Ms. Williams, but I think she's a very courageous woman and I want to spend some time with her every now and then."

I smiled and had a feeling that she was smiling behind that visor of hers. And this other feeling that Ash gave a blush of her own.

"I see." Tali looks at me in confusion, "So? When are you going to ask her out?"

I gave a perverted grin, but she doesn't know that. I suddenly felt a cold shiver go down my spine and thought, "I best make sure that Jackie doesn't kill me 'til Tali goes out with Ash on their first date."

Medical Room

[Jackie]

I was checking the Normandy's medical supplies when I felt a sudden urge to kill a certain perverted friend of mine.

I was gripping the pen so hard that I barely noticed that I broke it in half. I quickly went off to get my hands washed off of ink before it makes more mess in the room.

Engine Room

[Daniel]

After several embarrassing attempts of denials from Tali I quickly said, "Don't worry Tali, I was only teasin' ya. But really if you do end up going on a date with Ash then I will support it."

She looks down and whispers,

"Thanks for the support, Daniel. But I'm a Quarian. I highly doubt that she'd go out with me."

I saw Ash looked down sadly so I gave Tali a small pat on the head and walked away with a knowing smile.

"Just because you're a Quarian doesn't mean that she won't love you. Just talk to her when you have the chance is all I ask. I bet Lady Luck has tipped in your favors by a lot of credits."

I walked out and noticed that Ash was back at her usual station. She saw me and gave me a thankful smile, while I just smiled and nodded to her as I went up the elevator to check on Jackie.

Several Minutes later

I was laying faced down on the ground with my ass raised up in the air while grasping my pride and joy to lessen the pain.

"Why am I in this position again? Oh yeah, cause Jackie just kicked my pride and joy without warning when I just walked in here to see how she's doing."

I forced myself to glance at Jackie and groan out.

"Why did I do to deserve this?"

She gave me a hard look and said that I was planning to get Shepard and Liara together, while proceeding to stomp on my head. It took me several minutes to calm her down, but alas, it was not meant to be.

An hour has passed and I was finally saved by Shepard via intercom.

"We just reached Therum everyone. I want Ash, Tali, and Daniel with me as Team 1. Team 2 is under Garrus's command are Jackie, Paco, and Wrex. I'll be leading the search mission. Garrus, I want you and your team to stay on the ship in case we need back up. You all have your jobs, get ready. There in 2 minutes."

We all went off to our assigned teams and geared up for the op.

Hanger

I was waiting for Shepard to arrive as I sat in the turret seat of the Mako with Tali at the back and Ash at the front. I noticed that Ash was giving glances to Tali with a nervous look.

I checked Tali's posture and saw that she was fiddling with her hands every so often. I smirked that they were getting nervous and I had this distinct feeling that Shepard chose me for this mission just to help her hook these two up.

My smirk was replaced with a frown, I felt that something else happened. I don't know what, but it involves with Ian(ee-an), Bella, and Franklin.

I shook my head, but I didn't outright ignored the feeling, my brother always told me to trust in my gut and I would admit it, it helped me 'survive' at CQB's Zombie games.

So I just put the thought in the back of my head and started to hum Discord.(For those that get what I'm talking about, yes I'm a fan of the show. For those that don't and/or found out what I'm talking about, deal with it.)

Ash and Tali wondered what song I was humming to, but ignored it to continue to what they were doing.

I only gotten half way through the song when Shepard finally arrives and sat at the drivers seat. I remember driving the Mako and it was difficult.

Since this is reality, even though it relates to a video game, the possibilities of having a much more controlled driving experience would be nice.

Time skip

"THIS IS FUCKING INSANE!", I yelled out as Shepard was driving like some kid on crack.

It didn't help that she had this look on her face while yelling "WEEEEE!", for every jump she takes; while ramming the Mako on Geth here and there.

I tried, really I tried shooting at any Geth with the gun, but with Shepard's driving skills, I'm surprised that I killed a few Geths at all.

Ash was trying to get Shepard to slow down while Tali grabbed every belt she could find to make sure she was secured to the chair while cursing in her native tongue.

It's been like a whole 15 minute drive on this god forsaken rock and I can't feel my buns for the past 2 minutes thanks to her driving. I see a small path that the Mako can't fit through.

"Shepard, roadblock ahead."

"I see that. Think you could blast us a path?"

I shook my head no, "Can't or we'll risk being here for hours."

She frowns and contacts Joker, "Joker. We have a roadblock up ahead. Lock on to the Mako's location for pick up, we'll be moving out on foot from here on out; over?"

Everyone was removing their belts.

"Copy that Com. Sending the Response team for retrieval."

As I was unbuckling my seatbelt, I see Tali having some trouble with all of the belts that she put on while riding 'Shepard's Suicide Express'. Not that I blame her. Shepard must of saw her trouble and 'ordered' Ash to help her out.

A minute later, we were all ready to out of the Mako and went through the pathway. We walked through the path for several meters 'till we saw a large area. I took point with my Viper out, Shepard and Tali in the middle with Tali taking the rear.

I quickly shot down a Geth T. [Trooper] scouting the area and we all continued onward. However, I saw the scout still functional, barely.

I put my Viper on my back and took out my combat knife while calmly walking to the down Geth. I knelt down and grabbed its head to look at me.

As I gently set the knife next to its neck.

"Following the Old Machines, will not just be the end for us organics, but for Geth as well."

And with that I stabbed the Geth's neck, rendering it offline. I quickly got back up, while sheathing my knife back and replacing it for my Viper.

I quickly took point of the group again.

I remember in this part, we'll be ambushed by Geth and a sniper in the tower. I saw a slight glare at the same tower the sniper was at and quickly yelled out when the first shot was fired.

I quickly dodged in time from getting my head blown off, but got nicked in the shoulder instead. The others were already behind cover as more Geth came to finish us off.

I quickly aligned my sights on the sniper and fired a shot directly at its light bulb of an eye/head. I quickly snapped my sights on a Geth ST. [Shock Trooper] and shot it in the chest 3 times.

I saw Tali already taking care of the Geth T. when she shot it in the chest and literally caused it to lose most of its left chest plate.

Shepard and Ash took care of the Geth up at the hill as I took care of the last Geth S. [Sniper]. We all regrouped and headed up the hill and saw a factory where the last location of Liara's whereabouts.

Hopefully, she's there and alive, and NOT dead. Even though I know that she's alive.

As we approach the facility, a Armature was shot down from the sky with two Geth Ss and a Geth ST with 2 Geth Gs [Ghost] for support.

We quickly ran for cover when the Armature fired, we tried to return fire, but all the Geth Infantry units were suppressing us.

I quickly switched my Viper for my Argus to possibly take out the few Geth Infantry supporting the Armature, but as I pop out from cover a Geth G tackled me to the ground. (I know they can't do that, but they really sucked in the game so why not give them a bit of an edge.)

The others tried to help me, but with forces shooting at them with big guns and another Ghost flanking them could be awhile 'til I get help.

I struggled with the Ghost, trying to prevent it's dangerous looking hands from hitting me.

I looked to my left to see one of my knives a few inches away from me.

I reached for it before the Geth could break free and kill me.

It manage to free one of it's arms from my grip and swipe the knife farther away from me.

I redoubled my efforts to get the thing off of me, but it raised its arm to take a swipe at my head.

All I could do was stare at my impending doom as the Geth prepares to kill me, but was smacked off of me by a guy in a Gold version of Master Chief's armor while holding a chaingun from Star Wars as he blasted the shit out of the Geth with it.

I think it was called the Z-6 Rotary Blaster Cannon. My friend, Ian, likes the series as much he likes Halo, Rage, Mass Effect, and Pokemon.

Come to think of it, the armor and weapons the guy has was exactly the same description of what Ian said if he was in some Star Wars or other Sci-fi related world.

Cause Ian literally gave me a list of what he would use. Gold Master Chief armor, a Z-6 RBC, an Authority Machine Gun, and a few Smoke, Frag, and Inferno grenades. The only thing missing was a Spartan Laser.

Two other figures joined the battle and stood next to the guy that saved me.

One was female, a bit short in my opinion, in yellow/pink Cerberus Spirit Armor holding a Kassa Locust and a Scorpion.

The other was male that appears to be my height, wearing a black/blue Ajax Armor with Serrice Council arm guards. His weapons was a Cerberus Harrier, an Arc Pistol, an N7 Crusader, and a set of 3 Flash and Homing Grenade.

Both of them don't even have the Cerberus symbols, "Must have stolen them and scratched out the symbols."

The guy that knocked the Geth off of me stopped shooting for a moment to help me up then went back to shooting with me supporting him.

The blue male activated one of his Omni-tool functions to construct a small double-barreled sentry turret with missiles attached to fire on the enemy. (For better image, Axton's Sentry Turret from Borderlands 2.)

With the extra help, we quickly defeated the small ambush forces.

The Armature was difficult to say the least, but the yellow/pink female summoned a giant orb on the Armature which oddly looks like Phaselock from Borderlands 2.

Shepard and the others just assumed it was some Biotic ability and continued to fire, but I was suspicious when I thought I saw the girls' left arm glowed blue in a faint familiar pattern.

The Armature must of had strong armor cause it took all of us to take parts of it down, but it was the 'Phaselock' to bring it down because when the girl trapped it in 'Phaselock'.

There was a burst of fire, streams of lightning, purple smoke, and green burns dripping down on the ground with smoke coming out of the spots it lands on. If I were to guess, that was, of course; Fire, Shock, Slag, and Corrosive.

The Armature explodes, giving all of us time to rest and checked our ammunition and possible wounds.

I turned towards the guy that saved me to say thanks with the others by me. Specifically Shepard as the others hanged back.

"Thanks for the save there man. If you hadn't came I would of have to wear a mask for the rest of my life now."

Shepard nods with a smile to show her appreciation that they saved one of her new teammates.

"Your welcome. Besides, I was always the one to save you."

The guys' voice sounded familiar as he reached for his helmet, "Great to see you again, Daniel."

His helmet completely off, I was shock to see a familiar dark skin face back at 'home'.

"Ian?!" He smiles and gave his weird, but funny laugh of his that I know and love. I said his name more loudly and gave him a hug.

"Hey, lay off man. Are you sure you're not gay and tryin' to grab a feel."

I punched him at the shoulder to let him know to knock it off. I gave the other two a questioning look and asked Ein if those two with him are who I think they are.

He nods as the other two removes their helmets to reveal my other two friends. Franklin and Bella.

I yelled out their names and brought them into a hug as they returned.

Shepard and the others walked up to us and asked if I knew these guys.

I nodded and pointed out my friends back 'home', "The guy in blue is my Asian friend, Franklin. The short gal is my sister figure, Bella. And the guy with the big gun is one of my best pals, Ian."

They did their own hello gesture as I pointed to each of them out. Franklin smiles and gave a retarded wave. Bella gives a big smile and waves both her arms like a small anime girl. And Ian gives a two-finger salute.

Truefortune: Hope this chapter helped for my lack of updates. And again for those that wanted LEO. I'm sorry, but I am facing a major writers block problem for the fic. I would've typed in more for this chapter, but I was getting stressed out so you all have to wait for part two.
