Lorelai peeked behind the banister, there it was, the aisle where she would be walking in just a few minutes. A voice from behind snapped her out of her trance
"Lorelai, you look beautiful" Emily Gilmore said with pride
"Thanks mom, it is weird that I am not nervous… I mean for the past month all I have been was nervous, but now I am calm"
"You're in love" Emily smiled
Lorelai hugged her mother, a hug full of forgiveness and care, a hug making up for years of hurt
"Thank you for everything mom, you helped me so much to plan this, and I just, thanks"
Emily gave her daughter a smile and walked to her seat.
Luke stood in his dressing room (the pantry of the inn)
"Hey big brother" Liz said, her 6 month old daughter in her arms
"Hey"
"You nervous?" Liz asked
Luke smiled "Excited"
"Getting mushy in here" Jess interrupted, walking through the door "So, the golden retriever finally got a reward"
"Shut up" Luke said
"Hey, that is no way to talk to me… I am your best man"
"Yeah, yeah"
Anna stood at the entrance of the inn, her daughter stood with the other bridesmaids, Sookie and Rory.
"Excuse me" a voice from behind said
"Oh, I'm sorry" Anna looked to the man
"Hi, I am Jake, Lorelai's cousin"
"Anna, Luke's ex girlfriend/mother of his daughter"
"Wow…."
"Yup" Anna replied
"Need a drink?" the man asked
"Please" she smiled
Chris sat in his car, he wanted nothing more then to run in and ruin it all. But he started his car and turned around, finally letting go of Lorelai Gilmore.
Patty, Babette, Morey, Lulu, Kirk, Andrew and Gypsey sat in two rows
"I knew they would end up together" Patty gloated
"Me too!" Babette said
"They are perfect" Lulu exclaimed
"Yes they are" Andrew smiled
Behind them Taylor butted in "I don't understand why they wouldn't just let me make this an official town event!"
Luke and Jess stood at the alter
"Here it goes" Jess whispered
Music played, Rory made her way down the aisle, her future stepdad ahead.
April made her way down, her new family was about to be real and she was thrilled, looking to her mother she smiled, because her mother was her favorite, and no matter how much coffee Lorelai gave her, Anna was her mom. Sookie smiled as she walked past Jackson and the kids, her best friend was getting married and everything about that was perfect.
"You ready?" Richard asked Lorelai
"Yes" Lorelai smiled
"You look beautiful"
"Thank you daddy, I love you"
"I love you too Lorelai"
Luke watched as the love of his life walked towards him, she was beautiful, absolutely gorgeous
"Hi" she said when she got to the alter
"Hello" he replied
"Luke and Lorelai have prepared their own vows" the priest said after a few other words
"I want to start." Lorelai smiled widely. "Luke, since the day I met you I knew… I knew you would be in my life forever. I mean everything you have done for me, and for Rory. I can never thank you enough but I am going to spend the rest of my life loving you, being your friend, your partner in crime, just… being there. Cause iv realized one thing in the past year and that is that without you, I am not me. I love you, always will"
"Lorelai, I suck at romantic things, you know that. I mean I can give you a hundred cups of coffee a day that all say I love you and that wouldn't be enough. I want to give you the world, I love making you happy and I plan on keeping it up."
"I now pronounce you, husband and wife" the priest said after the ring part of the ceremony "You may now kiss the bride"
The happy couple did as they were told, the room erupted in cheers.
"I love you Mr. Danes"
"I love you Mrs. Danes"
