A/N: Sorry for the late update. I'm glad that you are sticking with me. I'm going to be trying to finish this story soon. Bear with me. Thanks.

Dean and Sam moved apart in unison single tears in each one's eyes.

"I thought I'd never see you again. You just disappeared and I just didn't know what to think." Dean lifted his hand to Sam's face and patted his cheek with a comforting smile on his face.

"Dean, what's going on here? Where am I?" Sam said looking around swaying on his uneasy feet.

"You're in the future. This is 2028."

"WHAT?! I WENT 15 years into the future?" Sam yells with worry in his voice and on his face.

"Yeah. The day you disappeared, I looked everywhere for you man. I mean, you were just… gone. I looked into the research you had been looking into and found out what happened. I tried to find a way to bring you back, but I just didn't know when you landed." Dean says keeping his hand sturdy on Sam's shoulder, afraid to break contact.

"What happened, why does it look like a cheesy zombie movie here.

"Well, after you disappeared, I tried everything I could think of. But none of it worked. So, I just gave up. Tried that apple-pie life you always wanted for me. I met someone, her name was Natalie. She was so beautiful and she had the cutest smile, but she was killed two years ago by a demon. We a daughter, which you've already met. After we had her, things started happening. The monsters and demons started gathering, planning and they came up with a plan. They started destroying all the power plants, major supplier of weapons and places where hunters hold up. They started a war and we were losing. Two years after Samantha was born they started attacking people in greater numbers. At that point I got scared for my family and we moved to this town. It was a place that hunters seemed to gather. That's where I met Randy. He was a friend of mine, babysat Samantha when me and Natalie would go out hunting. Me and Natalie then got married. We were comfortable, all things considered. When Samantha was eight, there was a massacre here; more than half the town wiped out from the monsters and demons alike. Samantha's boyfriend, Collin, his parents were hunters that died defending our town. It was when she turned 10 that I taught her about hunting and the tools of the trade. And a year later I took her on her fist hunt."

"Wait! You took your 11 year old daughter on a hunt!?" Sam asked getting upset, shock all over his face.

"Times have changed! You don't know what it's like to be in this world! You're not from here! It's either defense or you die, it's as simple as that!" Dean says feeling insulted that Sam was questioning his judgement.

"You don't just let a kid…!" Sam says before his eyes roll into the back of his head and he falls into Dean's arms. He lays Sam onto the mattress and sits there.

"That concussion was worse than I thought; rest up Sammy." Dean says grabbing Sam's hand, craving contact, not wanting to loose him again.

Sam opens his eyes to see himself floating in darkness. He looks around and comes to the idea; I'm dreaming. It's at that moment he hears a voice:

"In order to return to your proper time, you must earn your wish. Earn Dean's respect and forgiveness; this is the only thing that will bring you back to where you belong. But you must be quick, for if Dean dies with only regrets, then you will be stuck here for the rest of your life. Make haste, and remember; forgiveness comes with sacrifice." Sam looks for the source of the voice. He closes his eyes to see Dean stabbed through the heart. Sam screams and he opens his eyes to see himself on the mattress again. Dean looks up at Sam and puts his hand on Sam's chest. Sam breathes with fast and laboured breaths as Dean tries to calm him down, but all Sam sees is Dean dying.

"Breath Sam, come on. Slowly. In, and out." Dean tries to calm him down, but sees no other option so he smacks Sam on the face and grabs his collar and lifts him up.

"Hey, Sam! Calm down, you're all right! Sam!" The last scream of his name jolts him out of his panic attack. Sam starts to slow down his breathing and Dean lowers him down to the mattress.

"Sam, are you alright?" Dean asks fear in his eyes.

"I..I don't know. I had a dream" Sam says still trying to process what he had just been told.

"What happened?"

"I was floating and then I closed my eyes, and I saw… I saw you die." Sam said with a hint of panic in his voice.

"Well, was it a vision" Dean asked, hoping that the answer was no.

"I…I don't know." Sam said, unsure of what to do.
