Aww you all are so awesome! I really like reading the reviews you left me! So happy to hear that you like the idea of Lucy standing up for herself.
I just want to take the moment to thank each and everyone of the readers following a/o favorited the story! Seeing that makes me feel inspired to write this little ole story. Also I'm kinda sorry for not adding alot of detail in the last chapter but I was just trying to set up the story quickly so we can move on to the good stuff, besides you all know the usual "Lucy get's kicked out and called weak" spiel!
Also sometimes when I'm writing, I get really excited to upload it, so I tend to rush a little near the ending. So bare with me guys, I just enjoy writing.
Now what I'm about to tell you guys might contradict what I just said but this might be crappy because I lost this on AGAIN. This chapter will be split in two and hopefully the later part is better.
Disclaimer: Me? Owning Fairy Tail? Hahaha! No way! Only Hiro Mashima own's Fairy Tail, you silly people.
The walk to the apartment was faster than it usually was. But then again, I was storming down the street like a woman on a mission.
I jetted straight up the stairs, roughly took out my key and opened the door, then slammed it shut.
Right now I didn't care if the landlady gives me an ear full later.
I slumped my back against the door and slid down to the floor. Balling up my fist, I hit the wall to the side of me, trying to let out some of my rage physically.
After a few minutes of sitting there in silence, my mind wandered back to what happened less than 30 minutes ago. I sighed and closed my eyes. I could just see my old team members smiling at me just like the old days.
"Why? Why did you guys do this to me?" I whispered.
"If anyone knew about the value of nakama, I thought it would've been you three," I said before sighing and standing up.
I walked to my room and unbuckled my belt, throwing it on the bed. Then I walked to the bathroom and began to draw a bath All I wanted to do was just take a relaxing bath and wash away all of today's worries away.
I poured raspberry vanilla bubble bath in the rising water of the bath tub. After that I grabbed a hair tie from the sink and hastily gathered my hair into a bun.
After the Bath
(Narrator's Perspective)
After Lucy finished her bath, she wrapped her towel around her body and walked to her room and over to the drawer. After dressing in yoga pants and a tank, Lucy grabbed her keys preparing to summon Plue and Lyra.
Both spirits appeared in front of here.
"Pun pun!" Plue said waving at her.
"I'm sorry about what happened earlier Plue. I think I accidentally closed your gate."
"Pun pun punnn" The spirit exclaimed nodded and extending his arms to her. Lucy scooped him up in her arms, snuggling him.
" Hey Lyra," she said, finally turning her attention to the other spirit in the room.
"Lucy-sama! How are you? You haven't summoned me in quite a while."
"I'm okay. I'm sorry I haven't opened the silver keys gates much, except for Plue's." Lucy immediately felt a pang of guilt. She always claimed that her spirits were her friends, yet she seemed to neglect the silver keyed spirits.
The other girl waved it off," It's fine! I know I'm not of much help in combat."
"So would you like me to sing a few songs for you? I wrote a few new ones that may uplift you and make you feel a little happier."
"I'd like that Lyra," she told her spirit while sitting on the edge of her bed. Lyra nodded. Lucy watched as the girl began to strum her harp and hum softly. When Lyra began singing, Lucy fully laid down in her bed, lying on her back. She sat Plue down on her chest and absently played with his arms, like you would with a baby.
So I have only one week to find a partner before training for four months straight. Who should I choose as a partner though? Would anyone at the guild even be my partner? I mean I did jab Lisanna with the issue of her supposedly being killed by her brother years ago. So does that mean they would be mad at me? They shouldn't be because my words were directed to Lisanna not Lisanna plus the guild. Besides she was being a bitch to me in the first place. She came at me from out of nowhere without a legit reason and insulted celestial magic.
Lucy could feel her rage trying to resurface because of that last thought. But instead of letting it rear it's ugly head, she pushed it down deep. She needed to use that later, when she was going to battle it out in the maze.
Lucy directed her gaze to the ceiling. Well I have plenty of time to choose my partner. I have to get my nerves in check and leave Magnolia for a while. Maybe I'll go to the shopping district tomorrow. Just to get some air, besides shopping always makes a girl happier.
Lucy smiled at the thought. Yea shopping would be good for her. She gently lifted Plue off of her chest and placed him beside her. Her eyelids fluttered lazily as she began to actually listen to Lyra's crooning and humming. The singer began singing a lullaby, aware that Lucy was becoming sleepy. Sure enough within a matter of minutes Lucy was fast asleep. Lyra smiled and walked over to the side of Lucy's bed. The singer gently brushed Lucy's bangs from her head and whispered,"Goodnight Lucy-sama. Things will get better." Then Lyra went back to the spirit world.
Plue, who was still with her, cuddled up against her and fell asleep with his master.
Morning
Lucy woke up and stretched her arms, extending them as high as she could. She climbed out bed and walked to the bathroom to start her day by washing her face and brushing her hair and teeth. The blonde walked to her closet and picked out a pink shirt, a white skirt, white thigh high socks and brown ankle boots to wear that day. After dressing, she walked over to her bed to grab her belt and buckle it around her waist.
"Alright! Time for shopping!" Before leaving, she grabbed her white crossbody purse and her white cropped jacket.
It took her twenty minutes to arrive at the train station. She surveyed the area to ensure that she wouldn't have to encounter one of her guild mates, especially Team Natsu and Lisanna.
When she walked up to the booth she was warmly welcomed by the teller.
"Hello! Ms. Lucy!" the man boomed in a regal tone.
"Good morning Cornelius," she replied with a smile.
"How are you on this fine morning?"
"I'm well and you?"
"Good! So where are ya off to Ms. Lucy?"
"Just to the shopping district."
"Alone? What about your destructive friends? I'm sure they would've wanted to go with you as well."
"Now Cornelius, you know I can't go anywhere in peace with them always at risk of damaging something," she told, giving him a knowing look.
That made the man roar with laughter. "You're right about that Ms. Lucy," he looked at the clock in the booth," Well I ought to be sending you on your way now. The train will be leaving very shortly." He handed her the ticket.
"Thanks Cornelius," she said before grabbing her ticket and hurrying off to the boarding deck.
Lucy reclined back in her seat and closed her eyes, waiting for the train to depart. Sure enough, when she closed her eyes, the train jolted forward and the whistle blew.
"Ticket please," a man announced. Lucy peeked one eye open to see the ticket puncher guy.
Lucy gave him her ticket and watched him punch a hole in the paper.
"I'm happy to see that you rambunctious friends aren't here to cause a ruckus aboard my train Ms. Lucy," the man sternly said before handing back her ticket and walking off to the other passengers.
"Yea me too," she mumbled. She leaned back against her chair again and turned her head ot the window. Motionlessly, Lucy sat there watching the terrain slightly blur as it went by.
Lucy's Perspective
I stretched my arms up high toward the pretty blue sky above me, as I stood in front of the fountain in the middle of the shopping center. Today was going to be good, I could feel it. I have to conserve my negative energies for the maze challenge, so for now I'll focus on the positive...and finding a partner.
At the same time I sighed my stomach growled. "Yikes, I forgot I didn't eat this morning," I mumbled to myself. I looked up to the clock across from the fountain. It was still morning so I decided to go to the bakery I passed by for a little morning snack.
Yea that's it for now. The next chapter is going to start off when she's at the bakery...maybe. Oh well. I guess we'll see.
Byeeeeeeee~
