Sorry to disappoint you, but I still own nothing.
The man with the megaphone was walking towards them. He didn't look happy.
The trio exchanged a glance before The Doctor blurted loudly, "Haha! Yes, so this was all a bit of a fun trick, wasn't it, Karen, Andy?"
"-Arthur," coughed Rory. "Pretty sure."
"-Arthur," the Timelord continued without a falter. "So, thanks, everybody, this was quite fun, we'll just have to be off now, bye!"
He grabbed the hands of his companions and they dashed towards the nearest exit sign as the entire crew stared in disbelief.
"So that was actually Arthur Darvill… I've heard they've been acting strange all day," muttered a PA to his co-worker.
"Drugs, probably," the co-worker nodded back knowledgeably.
"I've really not got time for a psychotic break," sighed Steven Moffat as his lead actors disappeared from sight. "They'd better be back soon."
The director blinked and shook his head. "Take ten, everyone..."
"How about that car?" Rory pointed to a sleek, red, expensive-looking Mercedes as they reached the exterior of the set. The door was open, the key in place.
"Eugh. Human travel. So confining." The Doctor tsked. "How do you people stand it?"
Amy scoffed. "Says the one with the two-by-two meter police box."
"Oi! Mine is bigger on the inside."
They climbed into the car one by one, the Doctor squeezing to fit in the middle of the two front seats. He tried to fix his hair, only to end up smashing his head against the roof of the car ("Ah, ow!"), before flinging his arms aside and smack into Rory's face.
"Hey!"
"Oops."
"Watch it."
"Oi, now, it was your idea to get in this... This automobile. Why do they even call it that, it doesn't even spin. I like to say that the only good kind of a mobile is a spinny kind of mobile."
"What about a mobile cellphone?"
"Do I even know you?"
"Boys, please." Amy banged her hands on the front of the car. "Quit fighting or I'm going to leave you two on the sidewalk." She stomped fiercely on the pedal.
Nothing happened.
The Doctor was silent.
Rory was silent.
Amy was silent.
"IT'S A BLOODY PROP," shouted the unamused security guard viewing the scene.
"Oops," said the Doctor. "Well that's extremely embarrassing. Come along, Ponds. Let's find another escape."
"Drugs," muttered the guard with a shake of his head.
"You! Small person!" Amy ran towards a nervous-looking short boy in a sweater vest. "Do you work here?"
The boy, star-struck, nodded. "Yes, miss. Ma'am." He gestured towards his name-badge unnecessarily.
"Would you mind telling us how we can get out of here?" The Doctor stepped forward with a smile.
The boy glanced at the FILMING IN PROGRESS DO NOT DISTURB sign above the door apprehensively before swallowing. "Would you like me to call a car?"
"A car - yes! Human travel. Lovely," the Doctor replied sarcastically with a poignant glance at his friends.
The boy nodded curtly before turning away. He'd been told that the stars of Doctor Who had been acting strangely recently. He'd heard of psychotic breaks like these in famous actors.
"Where to, guys?" The car rolled to a stop before the Doctor and the Ponds hopped in. "Off work early, huh?"
Rory cleared his throat. "Uh, yeah. Something like that."
"Yeah, so, we'd like to get out of here." Amy leaned forward and smiled.
"I can see that," The driver laughed. "And where to, then?"
"Somewhere far," she responded purposefully. "Somewhere far, far away."
"Alright, guys." He stepped on the wheel with another chuckle.
The Doctor rocked back and forth, hugging his knees as they sped down the highway. "How do you people ride in these things? They're so… confining."
"What, Matt, just last week you said you loved my car," the cheerful driver joked. "Now it's 'confining?'"
"Matt" shuddered and rolled down a window as they reached a stoplight, sticking his head out and breathing in a gulp of air. A scream sounded from outside.
"Uh-oh," muttered Rory.
"Everything alright back there?" The driver called.
"Look!" A high-pitched squeal sounded.
"Uh-oh," echoed the Doctor. He poked his head back in and glanced out the open window apprehensively, gulping. "That's… Probably not good."
"Was that Matt Smith?!" The scream screamed. "Matt, HI!"
"OMG!" The squeals grew louder. "Doctor, I love you! You're my fav! Is Arthur in there? I love him too!"
Amy frowned. "What about me? Where are my adoring fans?" She stuck her head out the window and waved. "Hey, I'm here, too!"
The crowd on the sidewalk grew as the light turned green and the car sped off. They hoarded the street and traffic slowed.
"Oh, now you've summoned them," muttered the Doctor.
"Them?" Rory echoed.
"The fangirls." The paralyzed Timelord slowly rolled up the window as a female undergarment flew onto his lap. "Oh, dear."
The driver frowned. "Sorry, guys. Looks like it's gonna be a long one. But, hey, life of the stars, right?" He tittered a bit to himself before rolling up the blocker to take a phone-call. "Look, Helen, you can't just put a turtle…"
The masses of people pressed themselves up against the car as it moved two miles per hour.
"You know what?" The Doctor grinned suddenly. "Let's go talk to them!"
"Huh?" The Ponds blinked as he unlocked the door and stepped out into traffic, dragging them with him without warning.
"Live a little!" The Doctor shouted he grabbed his friends' hands and dashed to the street. The crowd opened up to let him through. They stared at him expectantly.
"I'm beginning to think that this was a bit of a mistake," Rory muttered through his teeth.
"You did that just to get out of the car, didn't you?" Amy elbowed her friend.
The Doctor straightened his bow tie. "Yeah. Sort of. Not my best decision, looking back on it."
The car sped away, unaware of the absence of its passengers.
