A/N: I know what you guys are thinking. It's been about 1 year I think? Probably more. I'm very sorry. You probably won't believe me when I say I got 'caught up in life' but that is what happened. I just sort of forgot about fanfiction. I got bored of it. Then last week I logged on and I just started reading stories. It still doesn't have that 'spark' about it, but I figured I may as well carry on the story. So here we are. I forgot some of the plot, but I remember what I was going to do with the story, so I will basically make it up along the way. Here we go:

Chapter 2: Running

Percy P.O.V

Run. That's all I ever did. I don't know what I'm running from. The orphanage? The bullying? The pain? I don't know. I think I'm running from life.

Ever since the 'event' I have been running. That's what I'm calling it. As soon as the orphanage got destroyed, I took off. I keep telling myself, 'it wasn't you Percy,' but the other half of me disagrees. And slowly, I start to realise that what the people at the orphanage were saying is true. I'm a monster. One that kills people. A murderer.

I started feeling sorry for myself. Why do I have to have such a bad life? I wish I could just be a normal kid. But slowly, the sadness turned to anger, then to fury and then to rage. Every day I imagined myself hurting those stupid people at the orphanage. I imagined them screaming in agony, shouting my name…

Narrator (my) P.O.V

The man stood in the middle of the dark room. You could hardly see him. But he had an aura of power around him. An aura of fear. His red eyes burned through anything he looked at.

A hunched figure strolled up to him. It had a look of absolute fear. Its face was pale and its eyes dimmed as if it had seen a ghost.

'M-m-my L-lord,' it stuttered,' The daughter of Zeus escaped my Lord.'

'WHAT!' The man shouted. His face had gone red, and his eyes were bursting.

'Y-yes H-her f-father saved her,' the figure replied, very slowly, its face was scrunched up.

'HOW COULD SHE ESCAPE? A GROUP OF MONSTERS WERE CHASING HER!' The man screamed back at the figure.

The man grabbed the figure by the scruff of its neck and slowly tightened his fist around it. And soon, while the figure was screaming, it dissolved into bright white light.

By now there was ring of gold, circling the man. And all the other creatures in the room had a look of terror on their faces.

'There is another way,' hissed a woman in the shadows,' my scouts tell me that there is a boy. Alone, in the woods. A child of the big three. He could be the answer.'

At that, the man whirled around and stared at her. 'Yes,' he said, his face breaking into a cruel smile. 'But how do we know that he is strong enough?'

'That's easy,' answered the woman, returning his twisted smile,' we send a monster after him, if he dies, we know he was too weak, but if he wins, then he can join us and the first phase of our plan can be put into action…'

Still My P.O.V: somewhere in the woods.

Percy sauntered up to the tree. Berries. That's what he had been living on. By now he knew which ones were safe to eat and which ones were poisonous. He grabbed a handful from the tree, and stuffed them in his mouth. His face was smeared with dirt and his clothes were ripped at places, especially near his arm.

He sighed and sat down on the ground. He had made a fire to keep him warm and while he was eating, he was dreaming.

While he was lost in his thoughts, he heard a growl. And he froze. His mouth stopped chewing and he held his breath.

Slowly he heard footsteps, crawling up to him. And at that moment he whirled around. And what he saw made his eyes almost pop out of their sockets.

In front of him, was a massive beast. It towered over Percy. It had horns and an axe. And when he made eye contact with it, it charged.

Percy had never heard such a loud sound in his life. It screamed at him, waving its axe wildly and charged, with its head down.

Percy crawled back, his face blue. But its axe caught him on the shoulder and he flew back and slammed against the tree.

The monster got ready to charge again. Its foot scraped against the ground and it ran forward. This time, Percy was too exhausted to move. The monster's knee banged against Percy's head, it took out the tree and Percy, once again flew into the air and landed face down on the ground.

The monster, once again got ready. It growled and its ugly eyes narrowed and it dashed towards Percy.

Percy though, was ready this time. The monster was growling at him, but Percy right at the last minute, jumped sideways, and the monster's horns got caught in the tree. It screamed in agony, this time it had got caught in a strong tree.

It tried to break free, but doing that only made the pain worse. One of its horns broke and it fell to the ground.

The monster howled, once again trying to break free. However this time it succeeded. It staggered back and fell to the ground.

The large tree had also been pulled out of its roots, tipped to one side and then slammed on top of the beast.

The beast slowly started to disappear, and in its place formed a white dust.

Percy who was standing there dazed, was shocked. What was that thing? His mouth was dry. And his eyes were a weak red. Blood was gushing out of his mouth, and there was a scar on his forehead. He didn't know what was happening.

Suddenly he felt a sharp pain in his side and he looked down, it was a silver arrow.

He fell to the ground, and darkness invaded him while he faintly heard the sound of a girl's voice.

A/U: There you go. Finished! And it's a 1000 words. I'm gonna update more, definitely. And then in one month I will be able to update every day! Sorry for the wait, but please review, the more reviews I get, the faster I write. So please please review. And by the way this is very AU, the story line will be very different to the normal books, however some things will be the same. There might be some OCs as well. Expect more from me more chapters I write, the longer they become, so the next one will be over 2000 words. Bye! R&R.
