"Are you sure about this?" Frida asked as she walked with Diego to the pack.

"They trust me", Diego said. "They won't question anything. It'll all be alright. Do you trust me?"

Frida looked at Diego unsure of how to answer. She wanted to believe him, but after hearing his confession to the lie he told them all, she didn't know if she could trust him. Frida looked into his eyes seeing nothing but truth. He could be trusted this time.

"I trust you", she answered.

Frida stepped close to Diego and nuzzled him for a brief second. He looked at her surprised and sighed as they walked toward the pack. Diego was going to pretend to hand over Frida to Soto and lead the other tigers on a wild goose chase with Sid and a decoy baby.

"Hello, ladies", Diego said as they approached the tigers.

"Well, look who decided to show up", Oscar smirked.

"Diego, I was beginning to worry about you", Soto said.

"No need to worry", he answered. "In about two minutes, you'll be satisfying your taste for revenge. I brought the female just like you ordered."

Frida hung her head looking down as the tigers all looked at her.

"Well, look at you", Oscar slyly said as he looked at her. "What a perfect little kitty you are."

She growled underneath her breath and kept her head down. Frida nearly froze as Soto walked to her and circled her as he took a closer look at her. No wonder Diego followed all his orders. The saber was huge and creepy looking. Soto put his paw underneath her chin and lifted her head to look at her face.

"Very nice", he said. "I couldn't have picked a better mate."

Diego watched Soto examine Frida and felt so guilty for putting her through this. If they got out of this, he had to make it up to her somehow.

"I see the sloth!" Zeke announced. "And he's got the baby!"

"Don't give away your positions until you see the mammoth", Soto ordered. "He's the one we have to surprise. Will you be joining us?"

Frida closed her eyes and turned away, not answering him. This gave Diego the perfect chance to start provoking Zeke who was very jumpy at this point.

"You want to maul something, don't you Zeke?" he whispered.

"I want to maul!" Zeke whined.

"Then what are you waiting for?"

Zeke growled as he jumped up to run after Sid. Oscar and Lenny saw him and followed his lead, completely disobeying Soto's orders.

"No, I said wait for the mammoth!" he growled as he jumped and followed them.

"Is Sid going to be okay?" Frida asked.

"As long as he sticks to the plan, he should be fine", Diego said. "Come on, we got to meet up with Manny."

She nodded and jumped up, following him through the maze of boulders through the peak. Frida really hoped Diego knew what he was doing and wouldn't lie to them again. As the two of them rounded the corner, they saw Manny holding a log on his tusks waiting for the tigers. Sid laughed and ran past Manny with the tigers right behind him.

"Surprise!"

Manny tossed the log, throwing the three sabers off the short cliff, into a snowy embankment below.

"Okay, follow me", Diego said. "We'll pick up Sid and get out of here while we can."

Diego turned away but stopped when he heard they weren't alone.

"Come on, Diego", Soto said. "Let's bring this mammoth down. You too, mate."

"I am not your mate", Frida growled as she stood in front of Soto. "I am no one's mate. And I will not help you attack anyone."

Soto growled as he looked at Diego as they two of them walked toward Frida and Manny, stalking their prey. Frida looked at Diego worried. Was he really planning on killing her like Soto ordered. Diego looked at Frida, noticing how scared she looked. He walked in front of Soto and stood in front of Frida and Manny, defending them.

"What are you doing?" Soto growled.

"Leave...them...alone", Diego said.

They watched as Oscar and Lenny joined Soto.

"Fine", he answered. "I'll take you down first."

"Diego..." Frida said as Soto approached him.
