Red wasn't the type of woman to make a grand entrance, as weak and as prim and proper as she had been, but Usha definitely was. And as the double doors crashed open, allowing her inside the castle before dawn struck she managed to grab the Beast's attention as he came running into the hallway with a woman not far behind him.

When he arrived he looked at her with hope and then confusion as he realised that she did not seem to be Red anymore, he noted the change in her too. Well what else could she expect from an animal such as him?

Usha leapt at him, needing her revenge, but she had barely struck out a claw when he punched her in the face. The beast certainly wasn't a gentleman was he? Unfortunately for her, there dangled a cross in his hand and as she flew back she felt the burning of the holy symbol etch in her cheek, weakening her momentarily.

'Beast I have come for my revenge,' Usha announced and watched as his eyebrows drew together in confusion.

'I have done nothing to you vampire,' Beast shouted back and she merely sighed. Just because he hadn't done anything to her didn't mean that she couldn't attack him anyway. One she needed blood and two, Belle had hurt her. But unfortunately the Lady de Sang could do nothing to the witch, so she had to strike her through her fated mate. After all if one mate was dead then the other one quickly followed suit didn't they.

At his words she only grew more angered and began clawing his furry body with the length of her claws. After all there were many more positives to being a vampire than there were negatives. And that meant she could finally achieve her revenge on the witch who had tried to destroy the new life she had, the new life that she loved.

'You may have done nothing to me, but your mate, your woman tried to change me back to I was before,' Usha announced and swung her claws long, intending to get his knees and disable him but he jumped back and she missed.

'Look Usha I can help you with this. I know that Red is still in there, I know she's kind and caring and supportive of her best friend. I know she wants he best friend to find love and have a family.' Though Beast spoke the words Usha never stopped her onslaught, Red was caged and struggling to make her way to the surface and it was just the way Usha liked it.

'Nobody can help me, nor do I want their help,' Usha snarled, backing him into a corner, and this time when she swiped at his torso her claws connected with flesh and ripped through to sinew all the way to his back until she felt she would break through and touch wall. She pulled back and watched as the scarlet liquid dripped down his torso. It looked delicious, but she stayed on course, she needed to hurt him so that she could in turn hurt Belle. It was her mantra: Belle must die, Belle must die!

'Then why are you here if not to grab Belle's attention?' Beast asked as he tried to staunch the flow of blood, placing his hands into his torso. Yes he was a beast and had quick regeneration powers just as she did but she wouldn't give him time to heal. She was fast, she was small, and she could attack him in many places at once before he could blink.

'Because she betrayed me, she would not let me remain in the comfort of my father's home. She teamed up with my fated mate, she tied my wrists with both rope and magic; I had to bite off my own shoulders to get free. I had to pretend like I was Red again to throw my werewolf mate off the scent that I was going to escape from them. And now all I have to do is kill you and then Belle will never come after me again. Belle will never be there to return me to the human state I had before.'

'You won't kill me Usha, I am stronger than you,' Beast announced and she sneered, just because he was taller than her, bigger than her all round didn't mean that he had more strength and power than her. She was a vampire; with the blood she had taken from Caleb she had nearly more strength than he could ever wish for.

'Oh yeah?' Usha asked, bending to claw him, but before she made contact she bought her claws back and pretended to be weak from lack of blood. After all she was always the better actor in her drama class.

She allowed him to think he had achieved an advantage, allowing him to race down the stairs and towards the double doors. She knew what he intended and she laughed at his foolish plans.

Usha let him make it into the garden and into the sunlight, following him as she did so. After all there was one advantage to once a time being Red. Immunity to sunlight.

'You thought I would burn to ashes out here?' Red asked incredulously as she waited for his answer.

'Well that is what vampires are supposed to do. They're supposed to hunt at night and sleep in the day or they could turn into ash,' Beast said and made his way into the centre of the garden where there was more sunlight, direct sunlight in fact. Poor confused Beast was hoping, praying that she would die in direct sunlight. Unfortunately he was wrong. After all he was male of course he would be wrong.

Beast had reached some kind of flower bed; they appeared to be roses, half-wilted. Men really didn't know how to garden did they? However the look on his face, the rigidity of his body could only describe one emotion. The beast was dismayed by this fact for a reason.

'Die Beast and take your mate with you,' Usha cried as she sunk her claws into his stomach and plunged deep.

'No!' Belle's voice rang out over the garden and Usha turned with a sneer, happy to see that at least Belle would have a front row seat to her mate's demise. Belle had taken Usha from what she wanted most and now she would do the same to her. 'No Usha, don't do it!' Belle screamed when she saw Usha above her mate, and Usha merely twisted her hand in his stomach, maybe cutting free a few vital organs.

'Belle!' Beast called out and Usha watched the disgustingly sweet interaction between them as Belle rushed forward intending to be with her mate. When he shook his head warning her, Usha noted that there was indeed some love that he felt for Belle.

'Beast no!' She screamed when she saw Usha pull her hand back from the Beast's stomach. Belle fell in her attempt to get there. Placed her hand to her stomach and felt the blood pouring from it. Tears flooded her eyes as she realised that she would die, that Beast would die without ever knowing she loved him. The thought made her gasp with realisation as much as the wound did with pain.

'Belle,' Beast said and when Usha saw that they were both dying she chortled.

'Well my work here is done, I leave for my father's castle now,' Usha said and transformed into a bat and flew in the direction of the dark forest.
