Chapter 3

"Woah, this thing is fast," said Russell with excitement.

Left, right, left, right. That's how Tom was going, passing cars, trying not to hit them. People inside were trying to get over the fact that a cat is riding a bike.

"Is that cat riding a bike?"

"Woah, he's cool!"

"Look at that pussy go!"

"I tawt I taw a Putty Tat"

Tom heard some of the compliments, he felt proud of himself.

"Tom, look! There they are!" yelled Abigail.

Tom snapped out of it, and steered the bike into the construction zone, where the bulldozers are.

"All right, now what do we do, Jerry?" asked Abigail. Jerry grabs Abigail's arm and runs to the bulldozers. he calls Tom over, Tom picks up the mice and puts them on the wheel of the bulldozer.

"Now what?" asked Abigail. Jerry crawls under the bulldozer, calls Abigail to come. As she comes up, Jerry begins pulling a wire, until it snaps.

"So, when you pull that thing, it stops working?" asked Abigail, Jerry nods. "All right, let's get to work,"

Abigail tells Edgar and Russell about what to do,then they begin pulling the wires to all the bulldozers. Once they were done, they got out of the bulldozers, they then see some construction workers,

"Oh shoot, hide," Abigail and her friends hid behind a rock, Tom ran somewhere else. They see the workers sit in the bulldozers. The workers tried turning the machine on, but no luck,

"What in the world?" The worker was confused, "Why isn't this thing working?"

"Take a look at this, some rodent must've chewed on the wire." said one of the workers as he looked under the bulldozers. Hearing that, Jerry and Abigail gave each other a high five.

"It might have been that stupid mouse you picked up when we went to Oakdale."

"Oakdale!" Abigail thought. That was the place where she met that boy, "Could that mouse be…..?"

"Get rid of him, or I'll do it myself!" Yelled the worker,

"But maybe he can help us," said the owner of the mouse,

"What do you think this is, NIMH? We don't need him!"

"Fine," the working took out a male mouse, he was wearing a purple shirt, he threw him down on the ground.

"Willy!" Abigail shouted, but not too loud so the workers can hear her,

"Abigail, is that you?" asked Willy, as he got off the ground

"Willy, what happened?!"

"These people came to Oakdale, and began tearing things up. They've cut down my home,"

"Oh no, I'm sorry to hear that!"

"Why did they do that?" asked Edger,

"I don't know" said Willy.

"They're gonna do the same to Dapplewood!"

"We got to do something,"

"Jerry, do you have any ideas?" asked Abigail. Before Jerry could say (Or do) anything, he hears a voice,

"Aw, what cute wittle animals" the furlings and Jerry looks up and see a girl with a blue shirt and a white skirt, Jerry face-palms himself and mouths the words "Oh no, not her,"

"You know this girl, Jerry?" asked Abigail, Jerry nodded,

"Oh, I finally found you Jerry, and you have some friends," the girl picks up the animals, "You're all coming home with me."

"Hey, where's Tom?" asked Russell. They then see Tom, talking to a female cat, Jerry was in shock.

The girl puts the furlings in her bike basket, got on, and pedaled away. Tom then sees this, he ran to get on his bike and began going after the girl. The girl sees a pothole on the ground and stops, Tom however, didn't see it, he hits the pothole and goes flying in the air, and lands face first in a tree, knocking him out, he could no longer see the girl.

"It's all over, we failed," Abigail lowered her head down.

"Don't say that, Jerry will get us out. Right Jerry?" asked Russell, Jerry didn't know how to respond to that.

"You guys are going to love your new home. Jerry might give you a tour." said the girl, Jerry crossed his arms. He really didn't like the girl

"By the way, allow me to introduce myself, my name's Elmyra Duff," said Elmyra. Jerry cringed at the name, he knew once he and his friends got into her house, it'll be pure hell.

"Something tells me this Elmyra girl is worst then Tom. Huh Jerry?" asked Abigail, Jerry nodded.

"Well, it was nice knowing you guys," said Russell,

"Russell!" yelled everybody,

"What?"

"We gotta get out of here," said Edgar, he looks down from the bike, the road is moving very fast, "Well, jumping out is out of the question,"

"Hang on, Jerry's getting an idea," said Abigail as she sees Jerry rubbing his chin. He knew if he had to make a plan, it had to be a good one.

"What! What do you mean the equipment isn't working?!" yelled Mr. Johnny, as he's on the phone, He has just gotten word that his workers that the bulldozers stopped working.

"Well you better fix them, or you're fired!" he slams the phone on the charger, "RANDY! Get your skinny butt over here!"

"What is it now, Mr Johnny?" asked Randy,

"I want you to go to the construction zone, and see if they will fix the bulldozers,"

"Sir, I still don't approve of your plan,"

"Oh don't you? But you've already helped me enough,"

Randy became nervous, "What are you talking about sir?"

Mr. Johnny gave a chuckle, "Isn't it clear, you were the one driving the truck with the poison gas that crashed in the forest, right?"

Randy gasped, he remembered that horrible day, "I thought we agree to never talk about that again,"

"Well then, are you going to go with my plan? The media doesn't know it was you, I could tell them,"

"Fine, I'll do it,"

"Thata boy, now get going!" Mr. Johnny points to a door.

'Yes sir," Randy sighed sadly as he walks out the door.

Outside, Cornelius heard the whole conversation.

"Oh my word, it looks like Abigail and her friends have delayed the destruction. I hope they're okay now," said Cornelius.

"Uncle Cornelius, why do I have a bad feeling that something happen to my friends?" asked Michelle.

"Don't worry about it, Michelle. If they do get themselves in a jam, Abigail and her new friend Jerry will get out of it." said Cornelius.

"You're right, guess I shouldn't worry, huh?"

"Everything's going to be all right," Cornelius was worried, but he didn't want Michelle to know, "I know it will,"
