In the Jade Palace, training was a must, whether it was sparring, on the training hall or even the child's training dummy. Training was training, which was what the warriors of the Jade Palace were doing at that moment. Inside the hall, the grunts and yells of sparring filled the air, kicks and punches were thrown and blocks were frequent.
" Enough." Said Master Shifu, " Mantis, your dodges need cleaning up and Monkey you need to be more aware of your surroundings, but overall well done." He concluded, giving his students both critique and praise.
" Yes Master Shifu." The two students said in unison, bowing to their master
" Po, Tigress you are next, show what you have learned." The small red panda commanded.
Po and Tigress got into battle stance, circling one another. " Alright Tigress, get ready to feel tha thunda!" Po yelled, using his favorite catch phrase.
Tigress smiled at the panda's enthusiasm, " We shall see, panda." She said calmly, knowing she would more than likely have the upper hand.
" Woo alright! Let the battle BEGIN!" Po yelled once more, officially starting the match.
Po, always wanting to rush into battle, made the first move, which was a mistake if you were fighting Master Tigress. The tiger simply side-stepped the panda's onslaught. When finally realized he was not hitting anything, Po turned around to see the tiger waiting for his next move, much more precise than his latest attempt, he threw a punch at Tigress, closing his eyes and opening them to see Tigress splayed on the training hall floor. Oh no. Po thought as she let out a feral growl.
Her claws came out and everything went into slow motion, Monkey was screaming
" Run for your life, buddy!" In the background, Po was waiting for the right moment to break. He stared at the tiger, sizeing her up, Big sharp teeth, killer claws, beautiful eyes-
" Wait what?" Po said aloud, voicing what was going on in his head and completely missing his chance to run.
Tigress pounced on the distracted panda, making him scream like a little girl, which in turn made all the masters on the sidelines snicker. The two tumbled around until Tigress pinned the panda to the floor, she was about to make the final blow. Alright, time to end this fat, over-confident, fluffy, cute pand-
" Wait what?" Tigress said in the same tone Po had used only a few moments ago.
Po saw his opening and... ran for his life. Tigress, who was still a little disoriented, was about to give chase once more but her master stopped them both.
" Enough." Shifu told them, as he had told the others before them, " You both had faults and strong-points that said, good match. You are dismissed." Master Shifu turned after he'd told them what he thought of their preformance. " Training is over for today, you may go on with your daily activities."
And just like that, everyone in the training hall was gone, leaving Po and Tigress slightly behind the group, while the two took quick glances at one another.
What was that all about? The two thought, feeling warm and fuzzy rethinking the events that occurred.
What is this feeling? Was the question that stayed in their heads well into the evening. Neither knew what they were feeling but, both decided that they liked it and hoped to feel that way again.
