New York City
Dear Diary,
Damon snatched me up at the auction and whisked me away to New York of all places. He says he wants to let me have a break from the Mystic Falls drama but to be honest I think he just wants to get in my pants now that I'm away from Caroline and Bonnie.
Its only been two days but I miss them, they would certainly have their opinions about Damon's intentions but as much as they would be right, I cant help but see a different side to him. A happier side of him;likes its us against the world and it feels sort of nice.
Maybe I'm crazy but he is beginning to get under my skin and no matter what I do or how hard I try, I just can't seem to shake him.
Elena..

It was another gorgeous summers day in Mystic Falls and life outside Bonnie's window seemed to have something to be happy about. Except her. Unfortunately it was only day to her week long stay with the originals and her first day had been not great to say the least.
Lost in her thoughts about the day before her hand slowly made its way to her ear tracing it slowly like had done with his cool fingers ever so gently surprising since he could physically have been able to tear her head off there and then. A sudden burst of heat shocked her hand away from her ear, strange she thought, it must be the house and stress of living here doing things to her body.
Just then Arabelle came through with yet another hideous dress this time in the colour of autumn leaves, grimacing at Bonnie as she hung it up. "This one is at least a nicer colour" she tried to smile as if it would cover the awful dress made up of rags and cloth.
"Is this some kind of Cinderella joke he is having now?" Bonnie smirked as she focused on changing the dress to something a little more modern like she had previously.
"You may as well give in now Bon, this only encourages him in this twisted little game" Arabelle sighed handing Bonnie her latest list of chores.
Bonnie laughed in the new dress and ripped the paper in two "then by all means let the games finally begin".

The Mystic Grille
"Another" Rebekah growled at the compelled bartender to evidently wasn't Matt.
"Are you sure that's a good idea miss?" the youngboy questioned her terrifed.
"Of course its not a good bloody idea, its opening hours and I've not moved from this stool from yesterday now do I look like I'm in the mood for good ideas?" she snapped back breaking the glass in her hands to emphasise her point. "Now pour me another or next time this will be your neck" she hissed.
"Easy there Barry I got this one why don't you go have your break or something" matt appeared from behind the counter and began wiping away the shreds of glass left on the bar.
"Do I not even get a good morning?" Rebekah pouted at him.
"When you treat the staff like that?" he questioned no "now savour that because I'm cutting you off" he frowned back at her, grabbing her hands to wipe away the rest of the blood stains from where the cut had healed.
"Your always so good to me" she smiled lazily at him from the barstool "if only you had been at the auction, Would you have bought me?" she asked a moment of honestly threatening to ruin their light-hearted fun.
Matt wasn't sure how to answer in a way that wouldn't have crushed her there and then when she looked so vulnerable. If there was one thing he hated doing was making girls cry, original vampire or not.
"Like I could of afforded you" he laughed trying to regain their usual banter that avoided flirting or honesty.
"Well there wasn't much competition let me tell you, eventually poor Stefan drew the short straw and was compelled to buy from my own brother none the less" she smiled sarcastically swiping a bottle from behind matt and pouring herself another generous drink "So cheers" she smirked lifting to drink to her lips.
"I can think of worse things to be compelled to do" Matt smirked back grabbing her drink away.

After separating from Arabelle earlier who had apparently been sent to the kitchen all day, Bonnie headed in the direction of the study she had been "forbidden" to visit.
There was something so enchanting about a place that held so much power in one little room, grimoire after grimoire holding spells as ancient as the originals and probably even more so. With that kind of power she and her friends would never have to worry about the latest "big bad" ever again.
It would be enough to eradicate their problems and maybe even be able to find a spell to bring back her grams, she had to at least try.

Caroline had been left to sleep until when ever she decided, with yet another banquet of blood and breakfast waiting for her next to a gorgeous summer dress. She stretched, yawning as she picked at the fruit and took delicate sips of her blood enjoying the peaceful morning.
She tuned in her hearing to Bonnie but all was quiet meaning she was either up to something or busy but with her pauper status, Caroline guessed the lateral. However what her hearing did pick up was a set of foot steps pacing outside her door, very impatiently.
"Are we both going to pretend you aren't out there or are you going to come in?" Caroline asked from inside the room her hand firmly placed on her hip as the door opened.
"Good Morning Love" he smiled brightly at her invitation to her new bedroom.
"Seriously, I know you take this seriously but I don't need a bodyguard" Caroline stepped forward challenging him.
"I had actually just arrived and .." he tried at his defence but was cut off but Caroline's gorgeous and infectious laugh.
"Come on just admit you were waiting" she laughed, amused at how ridiculous the situation was.
He looked at her bright eyed, well rested and genuinely appearing happy in his home, Why could she not let him give all this to her on a daily basis?
He would treat her like a princess every day.
They stood not inches away from one another smiling in the morning summer glow when it was rudely interrupted by Caroline's phone ringing loud and shrill with a picture of Tyler appearing.
Klaus rolled his eyes but reached down to pass the device to Caroline when she slapped the thing out of his hand and whooshed him up against her bedroom wall pinning him there with a finger placed over her rose lips.
Klaus smiled smugly as the noise died away, and she was left still pinning him in place.
"I haven't told him yet" she began to explain but stopped when Klaus waved her off.
"You don't ever have to explain yourself to my Caroline" he said still with a huge smile beaming on his face, " Get ready love we are going for another drive today".

Bonnie was in awe of the number of spell books set out in ordered rows, of not fully before then certainly now as they towered above her. The essence of magic alone was enough to draw from.
The only problem was that obviously there wasn't exactly a set order to go from so it was indeed a case of trial and error and with thousands upon thousands of books here in one room, she was going to need the entire week here at least.
As she raked her hands over the leather she could feel the energy pulse through her body it was surreal the level of power at her disposal, as she read the volumes labelled only with the names of their previous owners. She thought to try the Mikealson's first and set out hunting through the bookshelves when suddenly she was thrown against the floor in a wild whirlwind of rage. Kol.
Standing over her in no time at all fangs bared he grabbed her by her wrist pulling her up against one of the book cases, trapping her.
"What did I tell you about this room" he gnarled, fangs bared in full vampire mode as Bonnie called it.
"Leave me alone" she shouted struggling against his solid hold on her.
"I tried to be nice about it but if you won't learn.." he trailed off exposing her neck about to bite down when Bonnie closed her eyes sending him a huge aneurysm that sent him to his knees, making his blood boil within his very own skin and crushing his bones as though they were matchsticks.
"Little bit of advice Kol" Bonnie spat out his name like it was filth "If you want to pick a fight with a witch then make sure she isn't somewhere that she can draw energy from I.e your mothers spell books idiot" she snarled strutting away to her room for the rest of the day.
Kol lay there in untold levels of agony in every part of his body, a huge grin widened on his face. Of course he was drawn to her that night at the Grille, how could have been so stupid as to think he could want a girl that badly all for a little taste of her blood?
No
This little witch was all woman and she was going to be a lot of fun.
