We're back with our shortest story yet :( sorry! I've been soooooo busy with homework, finals and my own book. But we promise a realllllllllllly long one coming up. Someone asked me to confirm one thing about CoHF for them so here: M+A=forever.
Sorry for it being so short but Sohpie/Gideon is really hard to write. Enjoy despite that fact!
SOPHIDEON SPRING CLEANS
"By the Angel Gideon! NO!" Sophie shouted at him, attacking the eldest Lightwood boy with a feather duster. "What have you done?" She breathed. Gabriel just watched from the corner, snickering at his sibling.
"I- What have I done? I was cleaning, Sophie!" Gideon replied, surprised by her reaction. She sighed.
"That's not how you clean a cabinet! You'll ruin the wood if you use a hard-bristle brush like that! Raziel, what did I do to deserve this?" She said, finishing at a mumble.
"You married him, that's what." Gabriel snorted. Suddenly, Cecily swished into the room.
"I let myself in, if that's okay. Well anyways, I've come to retrieve this one here." She said kindly, grabbing the lapels of Gabriel's coat. "So sorry, we really must be on our way; Tessa and Will are expecting us." Gabriel perked up, it seemed that in the time they had spent together the two had matured and allowed their relationship to expand and they were on quite friendly terms at the moment. At the moment.
"That's good because I'm trying to teach this dunce how to clean a cabinet." Sophie snapped, dusting the top off.
"Hey!" Gideon protested. Sophie looked at him sternly then her expression softened.
"Okay so you're not a dunce, you're my dunce." She said and kissed his nose, leaning down from her stool. Cecily smiled and dragged Gabriel out who, in the process of being dragged, called out a farewell.
"I am lost though, why can't I use a scrub brush?" Gideon asked, holding up his little bristled scrubby. Sophie sighed.
"Men cannot be taught." She muttered.
~THE NEXT DAY~
"So if I can't clean a cabinet with a scrub brush, can I make with bed with new sheets?" Gideon asked, walking into the kitchen as Sophie was receiving two plates of food from their cook Maria.
"In a minute, Maria just mad breakfast. Thank you, dear, you ought to eat." Sophie replied, directing the last bit at the older cook.
"And you ought to get a maid. And a doorman, you need a doorman too." The cook responded with. Sophie smiled.
"All we need is you, seeing as neither of us can cook worth a damn." Sophie sighed. Gideon gasped theatrically.
"Good God! Sophie your language has deteriorated!" Gideon said. Sophie smiled and kissed his cheek.
...
"Do ensure that you use clean sheets and that the blankets have been washed."
Hope you enjoyed it... sorry again for it being so short.
