Roy: ARGHHH!
Jake: Woah! Roy calm down!
Roy: Can't calm down! Plan formulating in my HEADD!
Twista: Great, Roy is on one of his processing phases again, okay see this idiot having a breakdown here already has a sequel in mind for this story but he can't decide either to start new or use this as a bridge for that new plot that involves more people like Elsa and Edgar.
Jake: He can't decide since Edgar already seems like a very good fire element character and Roy finds him perfect for his role in said idea. Then again it might seem weird form an adventure love story to some major scale things.
Roy: Silence fools! Let me think!
Jake: Yeah sure whatever bro, anyway tell us what you think though, how would you readers want it? As a new plot or a chain to the story's ending which we already have and we just have to write out.
Twista: Anyways, we thank the reviewers for doing their thing! If you liked it please leave a review below! Edgar's story beings now! Note it gets a tad bit dark but hey, Roy is to blame!

Edgar 3rd Person POV
As soon as the Golden Mermaid was out of view, Edgar stopped rowing as the boat came to a stop on the silent and still sea. It was only an hour after sunrise and the whole pirate escapade and Elsa still wanted answers.
Edgar put the row silently on the boat's floor and raised a brow at Elsa, Kristoff, Olaf and Sven who were giving him blank looks. The red headed man sighed and said "Look I know you guys want to know what all that was about but I'm telling you, it's not a pretty story."
"Neither was mine," said Elsa as she sat down next to Kristoff,
"What do you mean?" asked Edgar with a scowl, "You are hailed like a Goddess in your land right?"
"You're wrong there," said Elsa seriously, "It wasn't always like that…"
The Queen of Arendelle looked intently into Edgar's bronze eyes as she saw a maelstrom of emotions swim in them. Curiosity, wonder and doubt but there was also some anger, grief and pain.
She looked at Kristoff and said "Kristoff please keep rowing."
The blone man nodded and took his oar and watched as Elsa sat in fornt of Edgar on the far side of the boat.
Her blue eyes dimmed as she said "As a child I always played with my sister. My gift was nothing but an innocent play thing that was meant for the both of us to have fun with. All was well, my parents, the King and Queen of Arendelle, were always there to care and love us but that changed one day when the accident happened."
Kristoff had never heard this story before and so did Olaf and Sven so the three of them silently stayed together as Elsa looked down and said "In the middle of the night, when Anna and I were playing, I accidentally struck her in the head with a magical frozen breeze. She went limp and unconscious."
The Queen clasped her hands together and felt herself remembering what happened and how bad she felt as she said "She was as cold as ice…I thought I had killed my own sister but then father and mother came in through the doors and took me and Anna and carried her off to who my father called Pabbie who was the King of the Trolls."
Kristoff was taken aback; maybe that's how he knew about Anna's condition. He decided to stay quiet for now as Elsa said "He took away Anna's memories of me having my powers. My father and mother took measures to ensure my safety. They isolated me inside the castle but my fear of hurting them again made me distant and very antisocial. I refused to speak to anyone besides my father, mother or Captain Ross."
Edgar didn't look impressed as he said sarcastically "Sounds tragic"
The Queen of Arendelle growled as frost crept from where she sat and said "Can you stop that? I'm trying to explain something to you and you still choose to be rude and annoying?"
Edgar scowled and remained silent as Elsa said "That wasn't the end of it; I had to stay away from my sister in fear of hurting her too. For long years we were separated even if we were only just a door away. Things got worse when my mother and father went on a trip to a distant kingdom but when the news arrived to our castle's doorsteps, I couldn't bear it."
"What happened?" asked Edgar as a mere whisper,
Elsa hugged herself as she said "Their ship was destroyed during a storm at sea…the ship or anyone on it was never seen again."
Edgar's eyes went wide as he muttered "I'm sorry…"
"Don't be," said Elsa nodding, "After the news, I grew even more scared and paranoid. I wished for every single day to freeze since when I reached eighteen, I was to become Queen and honestly, the thought scared me even more now since as I child, my father told me that a king is not only a ruler to his people but-"
"A father as well," said Edgar finishing Elsa's sentence,
Elsa was surprised he knew as he said "Go on I'm sorry."
"As Queen of Arendelle, I would have to take care of my people and that was a lot of pressure on an eighteen year old shut-in." Said Elsa bitterly,
Kristoff then knew where this was going, his adventure with Anna, Olaf and Sven. Elsa then said "It all happened quickly to everyone else but every second before all those people felt like an eternity of fear for me. I was crowned Queen and all seemed fine but then Anna comes in and plans to marry this man she had just met."
"You mean this oaf?" said Edgar as he jabbed a thumb at Kristoff,
The blonde mountain man barked out "Hey!"
"Not him," said Elsa, "This man was very vile and malicious but neither my sister nor I saw it. Of course, I did not allow the marriage to happen; I mean they just met that night! Even you wouldn't agree to that right?"
"I'd burn the man who dares try to marry my sister," whispered Edgar as he shook his head,
The white haired woman then crossed her fingers and said "She then yelled out at me on how it was also my fault on how she never interacted with anyone as well and how much she hated having a sister who acts as if she didn't exist."
"I too got out of control and ended up revealing my powers." Said Elsa seriously, "I was accused of witchcraft and had to flee my own kingdom. I found myself at the mountains soon enough and I made myself a home there, a palace made of ice."
The red head then watched as she said "I thought I could be at peace there, knowing that I was out of everyone's lives but my sister followed me and on the way, she found Kristoff, Sven and Olaf and told me that on my departure, I had cast an eternal winter upon Arendelle."
Edgar looked at Kristoff and said "If it was an 'Eternal Winter' then why we're you out there?"
"I sell ice for a living," said Kirstoff with a glare,
The Herrendon outcast raised a brow as Elsa said "Do you know how I felt then? I felt even worse! I had damned my home!"
Olaf then spoke up and said "But Queen Elsa it wasn't your fault!"
"It was my fault," said the Queen with a shake of her head, "but thanks to you four it got fixed."
Elsa then cleared her throat as she then said "Anyway, I refused to believe so and my sister begged me to come back and do something about it but I told Marshmallow to kick them out and I only pushed her away and hurt her."
Her eyes darkened as she said "I struck her heart this time by accident."
"I didn't know but I was killing my own sister, the only family I had left." Said Elsa,
Edgar closed his fist at that for some reason; Elsa noticed this as cinders sparked form his fingertips and she said "Are you okay?"
He closed his fist and smoke came from it as he said "Yeah, I just had a little flashback."
The Queen then said "I was left to think on my own and then Hans, the man who wanted to marry my sister, came to my palace with some men and tried to have me captured. Two of them tried to kill me but I handled then well enough but in the end I was captured."
"Did you…kill anyone?" asked Edgar,
"Heavens no," said Elsa, "I don't think I'll be able to live with myself if I do."
Edgar's eyes dropped as he said "When people get desperate or pushed too far, you'll find killing one of the easier things to do."
Kristoff was surprised to hear this and Elsa was too. They knew Edgar was dangerous and he killed before but they didn't expect his mentality on it to be like that.
Elsa then said "Hans came to me in my cell and told me that Anna still hadn't returned. He played me like an instrument as he riled me up and I freed myself from my prison. I escaped into the raging blizzard I made and was hoping to escape and leave Anna in Han's care but the man found me in the storm and told me Anna was dead."
Edgar crossed his arms as she said "As I wept where I stood, the blizzard ended as Hans slowly edged up on me with a sword but Anna went before it while I was distracted and fully transformed into ice due to my curse and shattered the sword as it struck her."
"I couldn't believe it," said Elsa seriously, "I killed my own sister. I hugged her frozen form and wept for her but by some miracle, she came back to life. All ended well as Hans was sent back to his kingdom in chains and Arendelle was lifted of the curse. I ruled as Queen and Anna and I were going back to how we once were and I was slowly being the Queen my parents intended for me to be."
Edgar looked on as Elsa sighed and held out her hand for a handshake and said "My name is Elsa the Snow Queen of Arendelle, glad to meet you."
Edgar looked at the hand as if he was afraid to touch it but be blinked and his bronze eyes roared with fire as he grasped her hand and shook it and said "Glad to meet you Elsa, my name is Edgar the Blaze Demon of Herrendon."
She shook his hand as they gave each other small smiles and Elsa thought "His hand is hot,"
Meanwhile Edgar thought "Her hand is cold"
They released the grip as Edgar sat back and said "You told me your story Elsa; I guess it's fair for me to tell you mine."
Edgar took in a deep breath and said "I was born in the district of Luminia which is the main area of Herrendon. My father was King Alexander Phoenixius while my mother was Queen Ellia Phoenixius."
"King and Queen?" asked Elsa, "That means…"
"I'm a prince," said Edgar, "was one anyway."
It then struck Elsa. His attitude, his regal aura and his prowess with the rapiers which was considered a royal art, he was like her. They were both children of their country's rulers."
"What happened?" asked Elsa curious to know more,
"Unlike you Elsa, I actually had a childhood and I had my power under control. I made friends but not too much, the amount was one that you can count on one hand but it was all I needed. Of course, I was called a demon as a child ever since the word of my control over fire left my home."
Edgar scowled and said "But none dare disgrace the King's heir,"
"Not only were you a prince but you're the heir?" asked Elsa,
"I only had one sibling, my sister Lora." Said Edgar sadly, "She would be turning thirteen this year."
He scowled and said "Anyway, back onto track. I had few friends, two actually, they are Damian Lystron, a captain in our Royal Guard and the guy who is guarding Anna and Enya Lystron a chemist in Herrendon's labs."
"We spend our childhood together playing with each other but then the worst happened," said Edgar,
"When I was ten, my sister had just been born and I was out of the castle late at night and when I came back with Damian and Enya, a great fire was ablaze on the castle and chaos was everywhere."
"A great fire?" asked Elsa,
"I remember the horrid event as if it was yesterday…"
Flashback
Edgar laughed out loud with his friend Enya as Damian fumed about what happened earlier today. Damian had set his shirt on fire earlier today by accident when they were playing by the river. Poor lad had to jump in the freezing river just to kill the flames.
"My behind is still freezing though," said Damian as he hugged his sides and tried to warm himself on the campfire,
"You're never going to be a Royal Guard if you're that clumsy Damian," said Enya as she giggled,
Edgar chuckled and smiled as he said "Enya is right my friend, you can't even lift a sword yet."
"Just you wait!" said Damian defiantly, "I'll be the best guard there is for our next king!"
"You better!" said Edgar with a laugh, "I want my two closest friends by my side when I become king!"
The trio smiled at each other and all seemed well. The young Edgar still had the same head of blazing red hair and bronze eyes as he looked more joyous and a lot less miserable and angry than his older self. Damian was a boy with a head of black hair and light brown eyes, his twin sister Enya shared the same look except she had a small ponytail on the back of her head.
Edgar moaned as he looked up at the sky as he picked at the dying fire they had made and said "Oh no its night time already? Mother will kill me when I get home!"
"Best we get back then," said Enya as she dusted her clothes and stood up,
Damian stretched as he stood and said "I second that"
"Very well," said Edgar as he stood and waved a hand over the fire as it flew into his palms and he rubbed his hands together killing the flames,
"That always looks cool," said Enya with interest,
Edgar smiled as they made their way back to the castle. Usually, the trip on foot takes them half an hour but it was now night and they had to make haste if not, they would receive a scolding from their parents but that was nothing compared to what they will see.
As soon as they made their way to the castle, Edgar stopped in his tracks as the massive stone castle was illuminated in the dark night as more than half of the plaice was on fire. Edgar dropped the stick he carried and sprinted forward as Enya and Damian called for him.
"Edgar!" said the twins in worry,
The young red head ran through the chaos of the people. The castle was massive, it was supposed to not only fit the royal family but several tens or a hundred servants as well. He ran through the open castle gates which people were running out of and entered the flaming inferno.
The fires seemed to recede wherever Edgar ran. He rushed to his family's area where he heard screaming coming from his parent's room. The door was hanging a bit open as the wooden support beams were crashing down and blocked the door from opening.
From the small opening, he Edgar recognized the voice and said "Mother!"
"Edgar!" said the Queen of Herrendon, "Escape now my child! Run or you could die!"
"Mother I won't leave you!" said Edgar as he tried to lift away the blocking debris, "Where is father and Lora?"
"Your uncle ran for Lora a while back!" said the Queen, "I told him to leave me here! I fear for your father since I have not seen him! There is no saving me my son! Leave now!"
"I won't!" said Edgar as not the fires bothered him but the smoke from the debris,
The Queen was slowly feeling herself slip as she said "Edgar, I'm sorry but this is the end for me. Leave now, when you see your father, tell him I love him, help him raise Lora safely. I love you my son, no matter what anyone says, you are no demon but you are a smart, kind and loving boy destined for great things. I will see you all one day again…"
A thud was heard on the other side of the door as Edgar felt tears stream down his face as he banged his fists on the door and said "Mother! Mother!"
As tears fell from his face, Edgar roared in grief as all the fires within the castle died altogether. The boy collapsed on the ground with a thud as tears streamed down his face.
Flashback End
"That was terrible," sounds Elsa, "What happened after? How was your father?"
"He died in the fire was well," said Edgar darkly, "Since I was too young to be named King, my uncle Brandon who was my father's brother."
Edgar felt his rapier's handles and said "My mother was never from Herrendon but she was of Royal Blood to another land. She married my father and became queen."
"After the fire," said Edgar, "They labeled the event as the 'Luminia Inferno'"
Just by saying that, Edgar's eyes sadly flashed as he said "Out of the hundred twenty people inside the castle, more than half died, a lot of servants, workers, guards and some others including my mother and father."
He closed his eyes and said "Then worse came to worst…"
Flashback
Damian and Enya's father, Ferran Lystron, who was a middle aged man who was close friend of the late King Alexander and the current captain of the Royal Guard, gently nudged the sleeping Edgar and said "Edgar, Edgar my lad, you must wake."
The young boy's eyes slowly fluttered open as he slowly sat up and rubbed his head and said "W-Where am I? There was a fire! Mother! Father! Where are they Ferran?!"
The man shook his head as his gloomy grey eyes peered into the young boy's bronze ones and said "They're dead Edgar, your mother was nothing but a burnt corpse when we found her and your father was never found."
"It's not true!" said Edgar as he yanked at his red hair,
The man put his helmet on the small table by the bed Edgar sat on and said "I'm so sorry lad but it's true."
Edgar's eyes flashed as he felt his emotions welling up. His mother and father were both dead. The boy closed his fists as fires began to dance around him but Ferran put a hand on each of his shoulders and hugged him as the fires died and said "Here here boy, it wasn't your fault."
Edgar looked up at the man as he said "But that is not all the news I have to deliver, it's been three days since the event and as soon as you wake, the council demands you to be taken to them and I am do deliver you."
"What do they want?" asked Edgar,
"I do not know lad but I will stand by you," said Ferran "Now rest child, you will need it. I will tell Damian and Enya of your safety."
Edgar closed his eyes to some fitful dreams and after a few hours of rest, eh was once again woken up by his father's friend and taken to the council room. The council room was massive and it looked like the fires hadn't reached it.
Edgar walked into the dim familiar giant room with Ferran by his side and looked up to see a semicircle of seat with a person in each seat. From where the two stood, the council's faces were hidden in the darkness as all of them seemed to glare at Edgar and the poor boy hid behind Ferran as the Captain scowled and said "Does the council wish to begin?"
A tall man who had a head of grey wispy hair stood form his seat and said "Yes we will now begin Captain."
The man nodded as Edgar whispered "What's going to happen Ferran?"
"I don't know child," said Ferran seriously,
The council in Herrendon was not only known to be stiff, cruel and difficult but they were also corrupt, biased and often disagreed with each other. The fact that they wanted Edgar dead ever since he was born was one thing they agreed to with each other. Herrendon shouldn't have some believed spawn of hell as an heir.
"Edgar Phoenixius!" said an elder, "Step forward!"
The boy stepped forward sheepishly as the speaker said "It had been three days since the tragedy of 'Luminia Inferno' and we grieve for the souls we have lost including our late King and Queen."
A moment of silence passed but Edgar himself knew some of them were fake. A handful of the council hated and despised his parents since they could never get them to listen to then when it comes to the things that they want.
A rather fat member of the council stood and said "It has been a tragedy but we are in need of a ruler."
"A ruler?" asked Ferran, "but the lad here is too young to be king."
"Not that demon!" said a female member of the council, "Enter!"
From the same entrance, a man in his mid twenties with a short but kept goatee, neck length black hair and bronze eyes entered the room. He had a confident smirk on his face as he had a long vibrant red cape on his back. The man stepped next to Edgar and whispered "Hello nephew…"
"Brandon Phoenixius!" said an old member of the council who despised Edgar's parents, "We are at a dark time…the tragedy of your brother and sister in law's death has affected us all. Will you take the mantle of the King and rule Herrendon in its time of need?"
"I am very affected by what happened a few days ago," said the man with a bow of his head, "I am sorry for all the losses on that day and the death of my brother and sister-in-law has hit us all very hard but with a heavy heart, I accept the mantle of King in honor of my brother."
The man bowed gracefully as Ferran's eyes widened and said "What? Brandon is the king now? It was to be Edgar!"
"But alas he is too young as you said isn't that right Captain?" asked the new King with a small smirk,
Ferran growled as the same council member rose and said "Now, in front of the new king, I would like to announce the trial of Edgar Phoenixius for crimes against Herrendon!"
For the second time, Ferran's eyes were as wide as saucers as he growled and said "No…he is but a child! And for what reason do you wish to prosecute him!"
"For the death of many during the Luminia Inferno and the murder of King Alexander and Queen Ellia!" said the female council member,
"The boy is not guilty of that!" said Ferran with rage in his voice, "My children were with him outside the castle before the fire!"
"Where is your proof?" asked the old council member, "A mere statement from children?"
Ferran clicked his teeth as the three council members, the old man, the woman with a braid of green hair and the fat general smirked at him evilly. These three were the ones who wanted Edgar dead the most.
The fat general then said "Who else could have started the fire!? It was too powerful and according to the report, the demon was the one who ended it as well?"
"That's true but I didn't start the fire!" said Edgar angrily,
"We have no other evidence," said the old man, "you will either be banished or executed but it depends on the vote of the council."
Ferran was gritting his teeth in anger now. They were playing the entire council to their ploy. Each one of these council members had lost people they care for in the inferno and now hate Edgar with a passion no matter who his parents were.
Out of all the people there, Brandon smirked and said "May I suggest something?"
"Yes my lord?" asked the woman with a green braid of hair,
He looked at Edgar with a fake kind smile and said "My nephew here has a gift, with enough training; he can become a secret weapon for Herrendon! Imagine it! A demon of fire annihilating any army in our way for us! Give him enough training and he will be the perfect weapon!"
The council was drooling at the prospect of having Edgar as some sort of weapon. Ferran growled and said "He is but a boy! You cannot make him a weapon!"
"It's either that or he'll be killed," said Brandon with a shrug,
Edgar frowned as he said "I didn't kill my mother and father! If you want me to prove it to you then I'll become your stupid weapon!"
Brandon smirked as he said "Excellent, all in favor?"
All of the council members raised their hands as Edgar felt Ferran put a hand on his shoulder and said "I hope ya know what ye'r doing lad."
Flashback End
Elsa frowned and said "They wanted to turn you into a weapon?!"
"They nearly did too," said Edgar,
He closed his fists as his knuckles turned white and he said "They constantly tried to keep brainwashing me with this drink but Ferran, who was my trainer as well, refused to give it to me so as I grew up in those long, grueling twelve years of training, I never lost my humanity or sanity."
"He sounds like a good man," said Elsa,
"He is," said Edgar with a nod, "He and his family stuck by me all those years…"
The Queen of Arendelle looked across the waters and said "In those years…what did they make you do?"
Edgar growled and said "They trained me till I broke most of the bones in my body. They starved me when hungry. They drown me when thirsty. They beat and spit on me whenever I'm in pain. They taught me how to kill without feeling. They taught me how to carry my weapons not as a part of myself but as tools for murder."
"I have spilled too much blood in my years," said Edgar, "To get me used to the scent and feel of blood, whenever they made me kill a soldier or prisoner during training, they let every single corpse I kill get thrown into my cell and I had to spend twelve years with the smell of blood, rotting flesh and the dead eyes of all those people I killed as company at night."
Elsa had tears in her eyes imagining that. At that age, all she did was lock herself in her room and it was technically her cell but Edgar had lived a nightmare. Edgar looked emotionless as he said "All those bodies, I killed them to stay alive…my human contact with Ferran, Enya, Damian and my sister is what kept me sane."
"Damian and Enya wept for me as they found out what the council had me do," said Edgar, "They locked me under the castle like a freak for those years and every citizen who saw me would call me a demon and spit on my way."
Elsa was now weeping as Edgar continued "The once demon prince was now a demon pet to his own land but I couldn't find it in myself to hate them. All I could think of was staying alive and find out what really happened to my parents."
"I escaped over a year ago," said Edgar, "I was to finally be used as a weapon against a land…Arendelle to be precise."
"Arendelle?" asked Elsa sharply with her voice gripped with fear,
"I was to be used as a preemptive strike during your coronation but I escaped days before…" said Edgar,
Flashback
A troop of Herrendonian Guards stood in formation around a man in long red robes who had a golden crown on his head. He had a small smile on his face but his bronze eyes glittered with amusement and malice.
The man was the King of Herrendon, Lord Brandon. His years as king had taken its small toll on his as he now hair strands of grey on his neck length black hair. He carried a regal aura yet a small tinge of intent was felt as he walked. His goatee was now longer and he wore the king's royal red robes made of the finest silk which had Herrendon's emblem of a golden ignited torch imprinted on the cape. Rings with large gems were on his fingers as he had his hand on a sword handle which was sheathed on his waist.
They navigated through the underground areas of the castle and came to a stop before a set of thick black iron doors. A large lock was on it as two of the guards lifted the weight and pulled the door open and everyone except the King nearly lost their lunch as the smell of rotting corpses filled their noses.
The room within was dark but from where they stood, they could see a very large room littered with rotting corpses. Some looked fresh while some looked like they had been here for quite a long time. The corpses ranged from being lacerated or some were burned into a crispy corpse.
Dried bloodstains were on the stone walls and floors. It was very messy as it looked like they were splattered on the area. In the far corner of the room sat Edgar in his early twenties. He was twenty-two years old. It had been twelve years since his sentence as a weapon.
Edgar had long back length red hair and his long red bangs covered most of his face. He wore a blood stained black shirt and ripped pants as he was barefoot and he had a common rapier by his side.
He was sitting by the corner silently looking at the ground as the King said "Edgar my nephew!"
The heir of Herrendon looked up with his half-dead fiery bronze eyes as the King said "How have you been nephew?"
"Still the same uncle," spat Edgar as he slowly stood and met the king eye to eye,
The King fanned the air around him with his hand and said "Now now Edgar, remember our talk about respect! How was your week?"
"Jovial," said Edgar with a spit on the blood stained floor,
The king's foot was hit by the spit and the King scowled, snapped his fingers as the two guards beside him punched Edgar in the stomach and causing him to fall to the ground. They picked him up by the arms as the King met his face with a sadistic grin and said "That wasn't very polite nephew, you should be thankful to the person who let you live."
"I would have been better off dead," growled Edgar,
A punch across the face was what he received from his uncle and the man caressed his fist and said "Nonsense Edgar, in just a few days your first mission will begin!"
Edgar's eyes widened as the King Brandon smirked and said "Yes all your years of training will be put to the test! Your mission will be to sneak in as a representative of Herrendon to the coronation of Arendelle's new Queen and you shall be 'The Light of the Party' so to say. Kill them all excluding Arendelle's soon to be Queen. This way, the world shall know of Herrendon's weapon and fear will be stricken into their hearts!"
"I'm going…to send a message?" wheezed out Edgar,
"Oh yes," said King Brandon with a chuckle, "the message of Herrendon being the strongest country with an unstoppable weapon of destruction that can raze a land in a few days time!"
Edgar was sick to the stomach as he was given his mission. The King nodded as the guards threw him on the wall and they turned to exit as King Brandon said "Enjoy the next few days, you won't have any training for you will need to be at your best at the mission."
The iron doors closed shut as Edgar was once again left in the cold darkness of his cell. The man took whatever he could to console himself and drifted off to sleep on the blood stained floor.
Harsh and horrible nightmares swarmed his dreams as Edgar shot up with a growl and tears in his eyes. He gripped the sides of his head by the hairs and pulled as he looked around where the corpses of those whom he had killed surrounded him.
He couldn't live like this anymore. With tears in his eyes, the Son of King Alexander shakily picked up his dagger and drew it ever so slowly. The metal reflected off the dim light of the lamp and Edgar slowly brought the tip up to his chest as tears streamed down his face.
Closing his eyes as he lifted the blade, memories of his years came back to him. His first kill, his times of being beaten half dead, his long grueling nights of starvation, the cold lonely feeling of the floor, the eyes of the people he'd killed looking up at him.
With each dark thought, his will to bring the dagger down raised but then he saw his friends Damian and Enya's smiles at him. Their years as children and the fun they had. Images of Ferran who became a second father to him were brought up, he remembered the man's kind smile, his cheery tone and his protective will. He then remembered his sister Lora who Ferran brought to him once every week. Despite all he had done, Lora looked at him no less as her older brother whom she loved very much.
Finally his mother and father's smile came to him as his mother's ghostly hand caressed his cheek and she gently said "Do not give up my son, there is always a way to tame the fire…never lose hope."
With that, Edgar's eyes shot open as he yelled and threw the dagger across the room where it smashed on the single lantern in the room, breaking it and killing off all source of light in the room.
In the darkness, Edgar brought his hands up and closed them slowly as his fists blazed to life in red hot flames, illuminating the darkness. The heir of the Herrendon throne calmed his breathing as his bronze eyes bored into the flames and he looked at the iron door with his eyes full of fire and determination.
"I won't take that way out!" said Edgar to himself, "Then so be it! If I'm going down, I'm going down in flames!"
Edgar roared as he put his hands together and thrust them forward towards the large iron doors and a ball of red flames shot from his hands and grew to the size of a boulder as it hit the iron doors and the metal doors began to melt.
With his body ablaze, Edgar looked through the doors and picked up his standard rapier and dagger as he set these on his waist and he bolted out the room. As he ran under the castle, he heard bells ringing meaning the alarms were set off and he was now being pursued.
Creeping past the guards at every corner, Edgar slowly made his way to the upper levels where he was coming into a corner where he heard a soldier say "The demon has escaped! Find him and bring him back alive!"
Edgar stepped out of the corner as the group of soldier's eyes went wide as he said "I'd rather die!"
He smashed his hand down on the ground as a pillar of fire rose from where he stood making the soldiers scatter. Immediately the fires died and he ran past them and the solider called to his men "After him!"
The castle was on high alert and Edgar was sure he was almost out of the castle. Opening the door to the kitchen area, Edgar followed a familiar path to the back of the castle where a small gate to escape that not much knew of was but as he opened the door to the outside, he was greeted by four people.
These people weren't guards. Two of them were dressed as guards while the other two were women. It was the Lystron family and his sister Lora.
"Edgar! Brother!" said Damian, Enya and Lora tackled Edgar with a hug,
Ferran smiled kindly as he held a bag over his shoulder and a pair of two swords wrapped in cloth which hung off his bag while he stood next to a strong looking brown horse. Edgar stepped back as more sounds were heard from the castle and he said "Ferran! Enya! Damian! Lora! What are you three doing here?"
"Saying goodbye for now," said Ferran with a small sad smile, "I heard of your mission and I guessed you would attempt to escape. I have set this plan for years now since the twins told me how you three always escaped as mere lads!"
Damian hugged his friend and said "Escape for now Edgar, come back when the time is right and take what is rightfully yours!"
Enya nodded as her black hair was swept back the wind and she said "We'll be here Edgar, waiting to help you when you come back."
"Stay safe brother," said Lora as she hugged her brother and handed him a small golden torch necklace,
She nodded and said "Uncle said this was mother's. It supposed to remind you of home! But I hope you remember us and not whatever happened to you!"
"Take this," said Ferran as he handed Edgar the bag, "This has all the money, provisions and clothing you'll need for a while. Take the horse to as far as you can go and set him free when you're done. Escape the country for now Edgar, be very weary of your surroundings but I know you are capable to survive. The swords in the cloth were your father's. The black one is called 'Raven' while the white one is called 'Dove'. Use them wisely."
Edgar nodded with tears in his eyes as he put the necklace around his neck and slung the bad and he whispered "Thank you…all of you…"
The Lystron family kneeled before him and Ferran said "We live to serve the king…the true and rightful king of Herrendon!"
Lora kneeled as well as the alarms got louder and Ferran said "Go now! Be safe lad!"
Edgar quickly hopped on the horse as Damian and Enya nodded at him and he smiled at his sister one last time as he looked towards the small gate and said "Hyah!"
The horse reared and ran forward as it ran through the small gate and dashed behind Luminia's castle and Edgar turned as he watched his home, slowly disappearing into the night.
Flashback End
Edgar sighed as Kristoff silently rowed and he said "I was on the run for the entire time I was out. I kept slipping away but they nearly got me in Arendelle then you guys found me."
Elsa was crying gently because of his tale and he looked at the weeping woman in front of him and held her right hand with both of his and said "Don't go crying on me now Elsa, what's over is over. It's funny how I'm returning to Herrendon now…maybe it is time for me to take what is mine."
Elsa wiped her eyes as she said "You can do it, I believe you can."
"Thank you," whispered Edgar as Elsa smiled at him kindly,
Edgar let go of her hand with a tinge of red on his face as he said "I believe that's my story."
"I guess telling the story passed some time," laughed Elsa as she noticed the sun was far off from the east,
The Queen then went silent as she blushed and said "Edgar…"
"Yes Elsa?" asked Edgar as he looked at her with a raised brow,
"On the boat," said Elsa with her face heating up, "before the pirates attacked and we were dancing, we're we…ummm…about to-"
"Hey!" said Kristoff, "I see land!"
The Queen of Arendelle and the Prince of Herrendon followed the Mountain Man's gaze as they saw land a few hundred knots away and Edgar smirked and said "That's Herrendon! We're close now!"
As Kristoff rowed on, Elsa looked at Edgar from behind and then at the blue sky as she thought "Anna hold on, we're almost there."
