Author's note: Oh, wow.

Last time I posted I still was in Rio, still had classes and a zillion exams to do. (and also a bit of hope I'd stay there for the next four years) So much changed in the mean time, huh?

I need to apologize. June wasn't a good month for me. I lost my scholarship and had to come back to my parents' house (just to discover that I don't know what's home anymore, isn't it ironic?); I still have no idea how my life is gonna be next semester. It put me down in many ways and I was unable to write long chapters, and, as if it wasn't enough, I had a massive block with this chapter in particular. I'm still not 100% happy with the final product, but here it is.

It's been quite the journey, this first semester of 2014. Teen Wolf had a season that really convinced me (where's Dylan's Emmy?) and of course I have more fanfics then I could handle. Believe in Magic is my baby, though, and I'm so, so happy with how welcomed it was from the TW fans. I'm happy for you all liked my silly ideas and saw through my mistakes - that I know are many - just to enjoy some Stalia in your lives. I'm aware this is not anywhere near the list of great Stalia fics around the web, but I damn well enjoyed writting it.

That being said, I must tell you guys that this right here is the final chapter.

Remeber at the beginning when I said I had no idea where this was going to lead? I found it. By the end of the chapter, when I was finally writting it, I realized that was the point I wanted to get. The story is complete and now that we have the canon version on TV, perhaps this in between is enough. I wrote many things wrong, missinterpreted lots of characters, but you'll have to forgive me - it was just my headcanon getting on the way, how could I possibly know?

Also, all the Stydia that I promised wasn't around. Sorry for that too. I just felt like it wasn't necessary. Believe in Magic does end here.

Do not think you will not see me around, though! Like I said, I have too much fanfics and I intend on write as much as I can.

I'm gonna leave you to the chapter and one more time: Thank you. And I'm sorry if my english sucks! hehe

Chapter eleven: A balance in life

"And I'll find strength in pain
and I'll change my ways,
I'll know my name as it's called again
."
Mumford and Sons

"So where are we going and why?" Malia asked, as soon as she entered in Lydia's car. The banshee shook her head, waving her hair out of her shoulders.

"Shopping, of course. I'm throwing a little party at my house today. Closest friends only."

"Oh, and I'm included?" the coyote girl seemed clearly surprised. It always amazed her how easily the pack accepted her, included her in every single activity they had. In the woods, as a coyote, she was always alone. Of course coyotes use to do everything in pairs, with their mates, but since Malia was considered a puppy and didn't have a mate yet, most of the time she was by herself. She had found a lost cub once (and couldn't picture how long it was ever since, there was very little notion of time when you're an animal); it had lost its mother and she took care of him for a few days before finding its family.

"Of course, darling! You're part of the team. Besides, I like having my girls around." She turned a corner that Malia knew lead to Kira's house. Lydia reached for the radio. "Did you update your music taste already?"

Malia made a face.

"Not really. I got used to the sounds of the woods, to be honest. And I don't think High School Musical counts anymore, does it?"

Lydia laughed loudly and Malia smiled along.

"I think we all had our HSM phase, but I doubt Stiles didn't show you any new things."

The brunette shrugged.

"His music taste is interesting, but I like to watch him play." She assumed. "Sometimes he plays drums – I noticed he goes for the drums when he's angry, nervous, when he has nightmares or thinks too much, it relaxes him -, but I particularly like when he chooses the guitar. I like his voice." She trilled off and Lydia nodded.

"He fascinates you, doesn't he?"

Malia shrugged.

"I don't know. I guess. I'm not used to any of this yet, it's too soon."

Lydia nodded in understanding and turned the radio on; a pop song started to play. The banshee and the coyote looked at each other for a moment and they smiled.

"It's never wrong when it's Beyoncé." Lydia commented and Malia nodded.

"So I heard."

They picked up Kira and went to the nearest mall. Lydia led them to a swim suits store and ushered the girls around, demanding them to try on every single piece she handed them, not missing the thrill of trying on some of them as well.

"Lyds, it's not even warm yet!" Malia complained and Lydia dismissed her with a gesture.

"It's never warm for you, you don't count. Besides, my pool is heated." She walked to the mirror of the store, checking if the bikini was fine and she saw Malia behind her through the reflex and turned. The werecoyote was with a green bikini that did great to her breasts. "I think you look very good in green." And before Malia could say thanks, Lydia already was shouting for Kira. "Come on, foxy, no need to be shy."

"But…"

"No but!" both girls cut and laughed.

Their laugher, however, was cut when Kira slid the curtain and appeared on the black swimsuit Lydia gave her. She was so pretty and pixie, Malia actually smiled.

"Wow," she said, "you are foxy!"

Kira blushed.

"I don't know why I'm so embarrassed, back home I've used things less… fabric-y."

"I know why." Lydia said and Malia agreed.

"Me too."

"It's because Scott will be there." The banshee continued and Kira blushed even more, making the smile of the other girls' widen. "Come on, Kira, let's have some fun! Just imagine his face."

The three girls silenced for a second, imagining it.

"It will be fun." Malia said nodding and Kira sighed. Lydia turned to the seller.

"We are definitely buying those."

"Did you know Derek was back in town?" Stiles asked Lydia. They were in her back yard, laying side by side next to the pool. The air was fresh, almost warm, spring waving its hello that afternoon.

"I had a feeling." Was the banshee answer.

"What? Like a banshee kind of feeling?"

She shrugged.

"I guess."

They nodded and Stiles took a few moments before talking again.

"He paid me a visit today. Said he had some weird experience with Elementals. Sounds familiar?"

The girl nodded and looked at Stiles.

"Do you know how it happened?" she asked and he assented. "Because I had some similar experience and it damn well sounded like Allison and Aidan."

"And Erica, Boyd and my mother." Stiles completed. Lydia bit her lip, thinking hard and trying to figure out what would that mean. "It's the new Nemeton, Lyds. The Elementals showed up and it was as if they were trying to heal us, trying to make us feel better and take away any guilt we might be feeling. Malia said she used to see them sometimes, but they never talked to her, but this time they did. She said they sounded like her sister. Did she tell you that her mom was a fairy? And Elementals are fairies too? Maybe it's connected."

"I don't know if it's connected." She disagreed. "They are long gone. What happens when fairies die? Do they just drop dead like in Peter Pan?"

"They don't drop dead, their light is gone." He corrected turning on his side to face her, for Stiles was a big fan of Peter Pan – along with Never Ending Story, it was the book his mother used to read the most for him.

"Yeah! When we say 'I don't bel-'" but Lydia was cut midsentence by Stiles hand in her mouth.

"Shhhh! How can we ever know what's real and what's not?" he alerted and she rolled her eyes; then he removed his hand.

"Seriously, Stiles? Have you been questioning every single story ever written?"

He shrugged.

"My dad has." He said in a serious tone, nodding. "The other day we were watching Interview with the vampire and he asked me which vampire description was closer to the truth."

Lydia laughed.

"Closer to the truth?" she echoed and Stiles laughed too. "Did he use those exact words?"

"Yes!"

"Oh, my God. Stiles, your dad is gonna lose it."

"I knew I shouldn't let him into supernatural shenanigans."

"Yea, but you wouldn't have Malia if you didn't." Lydia pointed and they looked across the pool. Kira and Malia were in the pool, Scott and Danny sitting near them, everyone talking and laughing.

Stiles and Lydia were suddenly very serious.

"It did help, though." He finally said. "The Elementals." And because Lydia said nothing about it, he continued. "It gave us something to hold on to, you know?"

"What would that be?" she asked under her breath, still looking at their friends.

"Living."

It, somehow, made sense and the banshee nodded.

"Lyds, I think I'll be okay." Stiles assumed, and Lydia smiled, feeling deep inside her the truth of his words.

"I think I'll be okay too." She agreed.

They all would.

A/N: That's it. Thank you so much for reading. One more time, may I ask: Please review? x
