Captain Luffy held on to the piece of flooring that was still attached to the building, with one hand. His feet was still swaying, his body tensed. The woman was holding onto his neck, his other was around her middle.
Glancing down he saw that the lower floor was more intact than the one they were on. However it was from floor to ceiling was about twelve feet gap, he could not safely drop her.
Black eyes narrow, he had trained hard for this. So keeping up his own body weight plus another's, was nothing.
Gripping onto the edge of the wood, his tighten his stomach muscles and began to lift his lower half up, letting the young woman hang. Soon he gotten his right foot onto the plank and put his weight onto it.
"Climb." Luffy orders the woman, who rose her face out from his neck. Looking around she saw what he was doing and pulled herself onto his belly, once there she climbs onto the floor. Turning around she went to give him a hand, but he was already lifting himself up and crawling onto the floor with her.
"Are you...?" The young woman starts as she looks him up and down, he had a piece of wood stuck through his left shoulder and partly on his collarbone. There was also blood pouring from his right calf, soaking his navy trousers.
Luffy brings his chin down to his chest, staring out of the corner of his eyes at the shoulder damage. He had been told never take out a large piece of debris from his flesh.
It was painful. But he numb his mind to the pain and grabbed hold of the piece of wood and pulled it up with one quick movement.
There was a gasp from the woman, but he paid no attention. He ripped both his sleeves off his white and navy strips shirt, then with the cleanest one, began wrapping it around the wound.
The woman seeing what he was doing, rushed to aid him.
With that tightly bandaged, he then rips off his trousers, just below the knees. The orange haired woman knew what he was going to do this time, and wraps his calf.
"Are you going to wait for backup?" The young woman asks, pulling away and covering herself with his jacket again.
"No backup is coming for another three days." Luffy informs her, his glares towards the staircase. The cannon was still there, but the men that vanished. There was a mighty cheer above and he knew the pirates thought he was dead.
The woman looked like she wanted to say something, but the marine captain had already started for the stairs again. Thinking carefully she chose to follow again.
