Captain Luffy sighs, if there was one thing he hated more than anything about this job, it was the paper work.
Pouting he glances at the two marine soldiers either side of him, they were there to make sure he completely his task.
"I think I'm done." Luffy said aloud in wonder, then he glances over the desk once more. "I am done!"
Standing he pushes the chair back with his rear and rushed around the desk, heading for the door. He came onto the desk of a marine ship that was docked at the harbour of Orange Town. It had been six days since he caught Buggy Pirates.
The town was in mourning over the calamity that had befalling them.
Luffy blinks over the railing.
He sees Nami chained to the mast by her hands. Along with a few other pirates, there had not been enough cells in the ships, since only two came and it was a large pirate crew.
The reason she was chained was because she had a pirate mark on her upper left arm. The mark of Arlong.
While this pirate captain kept rather low key, she was still a pirate.
Hopping over the railings he makes his way over to the young woman, he felt sorry for her. While the marines treated her wounds they noticed the mark, after that she broke down and explained about her village.
Of course there was nothing he could do for her, she made her own choice when inking her skin and following Arlong's orders.
Buggy and his crew were heading to Impel Down, but Luffy wanted Nami to go to a prison in the East Blue.
"Hi Nami." Luffy says grimly at the woman she glared at him as he came near, "I have some good news for you."
She remained silent, though it was clear she was listening.
"I've made it so you only get ten years." Luffy grins at her, "And you're not going to Impel Down like the rest. Buggy is only going there for another reason anyway. Even if he has a low bounty."
Nami's shoulders relaxed at the first part of this words.
"And another thing," Luffy says grinning more boldly, "I have decided to go to your village and I'm going to kick this Arlong guy's butt."
Nami's head jerk upward, she stared wide eyed at him with her mouth agape.
"Really...?" Nami asks softly, tears began to form in her eyes but she never let them fall.
"Yeah, really!" Luffy told her, "Don't worry. Arlong will be going to Impel Down too! Since he has a high enough bounty."
