Luffy stares over railings and at the working nameless marines. He was once again placed in charge of a crew, this one was not whining about his age and who his grandfather is.
Turning his makes way to his captain's room. He walks through the already open door and shuts it behind himself. Then he went straight towards the bed and flops face down on top. Rolling over he reaches for the neck of his shirt, undoing the top button he puts his hand through.
And pulls out a red wood compass, fitted with fine dark silver. On the back an orange fruit was painted on.
Luffy raises the compass into the air, it was attached to his neck with a silver chain.
"Won't work in the Grand Line." Luffy mumbles to himself as he continues to stare. This compass was given to him by Nami, who made him swear an oath upon it, to bring Arlong to justice and free her village.
He tucks the compass back under his shirt as he sits up, then held it tight against his chest. Another reminded; however this was so he never forgot why he fought against pirates, so more lives were not ruined.
A loud knocking came, making the captain jump to his feet and readjust his clothes.
"You may enter!" Luffy calls out, and the door opens right away. Two marine soldiers come marching in, with papers in their hands.
They stopped before their new captain and gave him a salute, that was how they waited.
"At ease." Luffy says, their hands lowered to their sides. "Report." Luffy says the normal word commands, basically asking 'what do you want'.
"Captain, we have had an den-den call from the Gecko Islands." The first nameless marine said, he had brown hair tied into a short ponytail, "A man named Usopp claimed that his friend's butler is a pirate and is planning to kill her."
"Oh?" Luffy asks raising an eyebrow at this news.
"However," The second marine says, this was tallest than Luffy and the first marine, with long black hair that was oddly tied into three buns behind his right ear, "When we called the village of Syrup's mayor, they said that this Usopp in a compulsive liar. He has been lying for a number of years about pirates attacking his village. Nothing the man has can be believed."
"So...?" Luffy asks blinking at them, "Want to check it out?"
"Captain," The second marine says firmly, "I seriously advice we continue on our course for the meeting with Captain Nezumi about the pirate Arlong."
"Mmm..." Luffy thinks deeply, causing his face to become red almost with fever, "I guess you're right, solider."
"Captain..." The taller second marines seems to sweatdropped, "I'm your vice-captain, Shio."
"Oh yeah! Shio!" Luffy says blinking rapidly, then thrown his head back and laughed.
