Korra gently dropped the little poriferan into a glass bowl, and he drifted to the bottom. Spongebob sat down, looking around at Korra's bedroom.
"Nice place ya got here," he said.
"Thanks," said Korra.
Spongebob propped his elbows up on his knees, and he sighed. "I have to go home and feed Gary," he said softly. "He must be worried about me."
"Who's Gary?" asked Korra.
"My pet snail!" said Spongebob with a proud, adoring smile. He fished around in his pocket, retrieved his wallet, and showed Korra a picture of his beloved molusk. Korra squinted, and smiled. "That's adorable!" she said.
The sponge stretched and yawned, clearly tuckered out after the rather harrowing events of the day. Korra slipped out of the room for a moment, then returned with a pin cushion (minus pins,) and a tiny scrap of fabric. She dropped both into the fish bowl.
"Thanks," said Spongebob. He cuddled under the makeshift blanket and drifted off to sleep, emitting his funny little high-pitched snore. Korra had to stifle a laugh as she watched the odd creature for a short while, before turning off the light and deciding to go to sleep, as well. She'd help her new friend in the morning.
