Maybe her stupidity got to her this time. Or Natsu didn't know when to shut his mouth, but her she was, prepared to ask Gray on a mission. She growled lowly and took a quick glances towards her driving friend's way. His sheepish grin on his face and his thumbs up full of support.

Huffing, she turned back to the male who was overly dressed in layers of clothes. Her mind went wild with scenarios of how she could play this out. Asking him nicely and as sweetly, like any girl was the one she aimed for. She then gulped for a moment and walked straight to the table he sat at.

She noticed his eyes light up and he stand up. She looked over to where his sights were set on and grimaced at the bluenette there. He then ran after the bluenette begging for a date.

And as always, he was rejected and shot down. An endless cycle her brown eyes watched and she hated it. Hated how her heart ached at his rejection and at the misery she felt for not being enough to gain his attention like the bluenette did. Her own insecurities being exposed to everyone, quickly she hissed and spun on her heel with narrowed eyes.

Lucy Ashley was pissed off.

"I'm not doing it again." She roughly spoke and took a huge gulp of her beer. "Natsu, it has been six times already and every time he has went after Juvia."

The pinkette sighed and rubbed gently on the blonde's back. "It'll be fine. Try a little harder?"

The blonde glared at her best friend and hissed, "I am!"

Natsu jumped away in fear and became a stuttering mess. Then suddenly, Gray had come to his defense and gave a menacing look towards Lucy, "Leave him alone, Ashley!"

Lucy stood and glared, "Shouldn't you be chasing the bluenette?"

Gray scanned for the blue beauty and then muttered, "She isn't here, but stop being so mean!" He pouted and his eyes went big.

Lucy looked away as a blush coated her cheeks, "Whatever!" Then she rushed off and threw a kick at Levy screaming for a fight.

Gray patted his friend's head and muttered, "She sure is cruel to everyone..."

Natsu then mumbled, "Not really..." Natsu wanted to desperately have his best friend's just get together already, it was painfully obvious that Lucy really liked Gray and Gray was too blind to see anything but his love for love itself.

Gray then went off after Juvia proclaiming his love. Which, Natsu knew it wasn't even close to love at all.

Here she was once again. This position where she was so close to his table and then he stood. She knew that meant Juvia had arrived.

Quickly, she rushed him and stood in front of him with arms extended out. "Gray!" She snapped to gain his attention.

The brunette stood stunned at her being in front of his and he wondered what she could want from him. It dawned upon him; she had come to twist his arm for yelling at her the day before. He cowered and shook awaiting the fate he knew he had coming. But only the sound of paper in the air was heard.

His eyes opened to see her holding out a job request. Her face was cast down and her cheeks slightly stained pink. Her bottom lip being bit and her hair barely touching her eyes. He never knew Lucy Ashley could look this cute.

"You, me, job tomorrow. Meet me here at 8 in the morning." She huff and then shoved the request into his chest and rushed off.

Gray was shocked to say the least, the evil Lucy he knew had just demanded he go with her on a job. A job that she herself could more than likely do on her own. He gulped and felt some heat rise to his face. He shook them away and looked over towards where Lucy had went and then towards Juvia.

Sighing, he ran after Juvia. He wasn't going to see her for a while, but maybe he didn't mind that... Lucy did look cute not too long ago...
