The bats moved towards the sides to reveal Karina and Lightning-Flower! "It looks like," the Vampire spoke ", you've gone and complicated things for us, haven't you?" Karina reached out her hand ", May I have my brother and sister back now, young man?" "Big sister?!"

Karina's eyes glowed and the bats flew towards Rook. Rook closed his eyes and braced himself, but the bats only took Gwen. Rook opened his eyes and saw the Gem Vampire holding the younger girl bridal style. Rook backed up a little in fright.

"Uh oh," Ben whispered, Karina is seriously pissed off. "Karina-! I mean big sister, uh you see this isn't-!" "Just shut up!" Karina interrupted and Ben stayed quiet. "Now then, its usually not my thing to touch guys I just met but," the red velvet haired girl raised her yellow glowing hand. Rook just gasped and froze in shock; the girl started walking towards him.

"I need to make sure I erase your memory throughly." Karina was right in front of Rook, her hand close to his face. "That would result in..." her hand reaching for the Revonnahgander's forehead ", but then honestly I really don't care."

The Gem Vampire's hand was a few centimeters away from his head until Gwen grabbbed it ", stop."

Karina and the boys gasped in shock. Gwen was fully awake ", big sister don't do this. I want you to let him go. I'll... explain later." Karina glared at the younger girl ", so you'll explain?" Gwen gave her a since look, the older girl sighed and turned around and started walking away ", well whatever."

Ben started running after the two girls and said to Rook ", sorry Rook. I gotta go now!" The three Vampires were gone. What was that about? Rook thought, a terrifed look on his face, I just... I just wanted to know what happens to people when they are bitten by Ben.

Meanwhile at Ben's house... "Are you feeling better Gwen?" Max asked his granddaughter. She nodded in response. "My dear," Carl started ", do you think you could explain to us what happned today?"

"I've been using my bats to keep an eye on that alien, ever since Karina told me he witnessed Ben's nosebleed," she started her explanation. "Especially these past few days, I've watched around the clock. Which means that even though my body was resting my consciousness was still awake, the lack of sleep got to me."

"So that's why you fainted?" Ben asked in concern. "Its because I lost my focus," she pretend fainted. "Gwen!" She opened her eyes ", like that." Ben sighed in relief. "Gwen you really should be careful," Sandra said ", you may be a full vampire, but you can't handle this much work." "I had no choose," the red head turned to the brunette ", that boy was positive you were a Vampire, Ben." Ben gasped, horrified out of his mind.

At Rook's apartment... "I am home," Rook walked through the door, just to have his mother jump in his face. "Welcome Home!" Bralla yelled happily. Rook was confused ", What happened? Mother you are acting more hyper than usual." Rook looked behind his happy mom to see his family were packing bags. "Ah Blonko there you are!" Da walked to his wife and eldest son. "Has everything been resolved on Revonnah?" Rook asked excitedly. "Yes."

"We will being leaving in a few days," Bralla said happily ", it will be good to be back home." Rook smiled, but frowned when he looked at the bite mark on his mom's neck.

Back at Ben's house... The five Vampires sat in a small silence. "Gwen..." Ben looked at his cousin ", then he...?" "But that boy... Rook Blonko," Gwen began again ", has kept his promise and hasn't told anyone in the Plumber Base or even his family. Not only that, he cleaned up after your nosebleed Ben." Ben suddenly remembered the speech Rook gave him.

"Since your blood is responsive to him and you can't avoid contact with him. So I think it might be best if we maybe made him a family ally." The others gasped. "WHAT?! HOLD ON!" Ben screamed and got in Gwen's face ", Gwen why?!" "Besides Ben if your blood level were to increase during the day, we would need someone to cover for you, when Karina cannot be there for you." Ben blushed when he realized she was right ", oh well I..."

"She does make a good point," Sandra said. "Well then maybe we should bring him into our confidence," Carl agreed. "Wait a minute!" Ben was shocked by what his parents were saying. "So now, we simply need to ask him to help you out during the day." "Hold on!" Ben stood up ", its because of Rook that my blood increases in the first place!" "Then just bite him," his mom simply said. "He may be the ideal partner," his dad said. "It would be better to have him know and keep his distance," Gwen explained ", rather than not having him know at all."

Ben could believe what his family was saying! The very people who told him for years to never reveal their secret wanted him to let his new alien partner know who they truly are! "And not only that..." Gwen leaned over to Ben's ear and whispered something to him. "WHAT?!" Ben screamed in shock. "Are you serious?!" Ben suddenly bursted out of the house, leaving his family and friend in a total silence.

Ben felt like he was running for his life, it can't be. That Rook... Rook.

At Rook's apartment... Rook was brushing his teeth in a white tank top and orange boxer shorts while standing in front of his back glass doors. While the rest of his family were doing what they usual do before bed(well not exactly what they usual do but you get the picture). So much is happening, Rook thought, I am mentally exhausted. Rook looked at his mother and watched her be insanely happy. I suppose... I have more important things to worry about. Rook looked back at the outside, I am going to ask Ben about mom! Tomorrow for sure!

Then Rook saw something outside that was so shocking that he dropped his toothbrush.

It was Ben. The Un-Vampire was breathing heavily as he gripped the fence that was between and his partner's apartment. "Ben?!" The Revonnahgander opened the door, "what are you doing here?!" When Ben was finally able to breathe right he answered ", Gwen told me... I LIVE IN THE HOUSE UP ON THE HILL RIGHT BEHIND YOUR APARTMENT BUILDING!" Rook was in complete shock, "WHAT?!"

At Ben's house... "I would've expected that he would be living right outside of our barrier," Carl said as he looked out the window. "Yep, it'll be impossible to avoid that cat boy," Sandra commented standing next to her husband. Karina just huffed in anger as she sat next to Max, who's been completely silent. "I'm sorry I didn't keep my promise," Gwen suddenly started talking again ", I thought that you would stop me if I told you. I thought that we could trust him, if he ever betrays us I take responsibility and..." The orange hair girl closed her eyes and just fell asleep. The other vampires sighed.

Back with Ben and Rook... The two just looked at each other, neither not knowing what to say to the other. "Umm... I-" the brunette started but was interrupted by Rook's family running to the Revonnahgander's side when they heard him scream. "Rook Blonko-!" Bralla was concerned about her eldest son then she saw Ben. "Who is this boy?"

Bralla looked at Ben was a smile on her face. But Ben was staring at her, feeling both shocked and terrified, the memory of him biting her came to his mind. "Rook, who are they?" Ben asked quietly. "Oh, this is my mother, father, and siblings," Rook explained while pointing to his family.

His mom?! Of the people I could of bitten it had to Rook's mom?! Ben was trembling at the truth. After Rook explained to his family about Ben being his partner, Bralla invited him inside, (Young One was excited that he was finally going to meet the great 'Ben 10') Ben hesitated at first but went inside, he didn't want to be rude, since he already bit Bralla on the neck. "So you are Blonko's Plumber partner and friend," Bralla was happy to meet the Un-Vampire ", and you live on top of that hill. Welcome! Thank you for being his friend."

"I-It's my pleasure," Ben stuttered nervously. "Mother please stop embarrassing me," Rook whined. Why... Why did it have to turn out like this, Ben thought while Rook started arguing with Bralla. Rook's siblings decided to go to bed, even though Young One wanted meet the 'Great Ben 10', and Bralla had to tell Da to go to bed even though he was a little upset at Ben, which caused Ben's blood to throb painfully.

"-and how would you except me to treat a nice boy like him, when he has come all the way down that big hill to visit us?" The older Revonnahgander questioned. "Mother it is not like that," Rook said. Rook Bralla then paused for a moment before a big smile came to her face. "Oh!~ I understand," she got up started walking to her room ", that is right. I am sorry for being so inconsiderate, I did not realize..." She looked at her eldest son and winked ", good luck son." Ben and Rook blushed in embarrassment. "You two take your time."

The two partners sat in silence, just looking at each other. "Uhh-" "Umm-" they tried speaking, but they just felt more awkward. "Go for it Blonko!" Bralla whispered while peaking through the door. "Mother," Rook whined quietly. Bralla left.

Now what do I do? Ben thought, I mean, I can't believe that woman I bit was Rook's mom, then again they do look a like, I guess I just didn't notice. The memory of Ben biting Bralla came to his mind again. No wonder she's unhappy, all seven of them, have to stay in this small apartment, I guess something most of happened on their home world.

"You see my family had to come to Earth because of some trouble on our home," Bralla explained.

I just hope that trouble isn't as bad as I think, Ben thought.

"I'm home." The Un-Vampire walked to the stairs. "Welcome home," Sandra greeted him ", so how'd it go?" "Huh?" The brunette turned to his mom. "You went to see that Rook boy's house, didn't you?" Ben turned away from her ", do you mind if we talk about it tomorrow?" Ben walked away. "Fine then," the older vampire watched her son.

Ben collapsed on his bed with a sigh. Now I understand, Rook has a big family to help take care on. Since I'm an only child, I guess I can't really relate to use it must be. That has to be difficult. Anyway, today was a tough day. I cried in front of Rook, made Karina angry, and had a family meeting. I went over to Rook's place, but all I did was drink water and come home. And also that alien I bit was his mom!

Ben hugged his pillow and began rolling on the bed in frustration. Now it'll be impossible to get him to help. How am I suppose to go to work and face him tomorrow!? Stupid Gwen! He rolled off the bed and face planted onto the floor.

In the living room... "So what should we do now?" The blonde vampire asked her husband, "Carl... Do you think we should follow Gwen's plan and try to get this Rook boy to agree to become our ally?" "No I still have some concerns that need to be dealt with," Carl answered. (Karina was outside and Gwen was sleeping). "Maybe I should meet him in person."

The next day... Ben, Rook, and Karina were at Burger Shack, so Ben could get lunch. The drive there was silent. Ben and Rook still felt the awkwardness of last night, while Karina was still upset, not only at Rook, but also at the plan her 'little sister' came up with. Lightning-Flower tried easying the tension around her, by acting adorable, but nothing worked.

Today is gonna be a long day, Lightning-Flower thought.

"Why didn't you guys help me?" Ben asked, climbing back into the truck. "You should of said something," Rook replied eating his weird alien food. "Like what?" the brunette was getting annoyed. "Like 'Rook, Karina help me!'" the Revonnahgander was trying to easy the tension.

"Karina!" Ben turned to the red head sitting behind him. "Actually I agree with Rook," she said, shocking both the boys and Experiment 758. "Ben there are gonna be times where you have to realize you can't do everything by yourself. That's why you have partners," Karina explained. "I guess that's true," Ben looked through the bag of food ", aww man, the chili fries and the sundae are mushed up with the burger." But he ate it anyway.

"You know, lately you've been getting attacked by more monsters than Tokyo," Karina said. "But I thought that was normal," Rook was confused. "Yeah, but these things aren't normal, but who'd want to sic freaky monsters on me?" "Dude who wouldn't want to sic freaky monsters on you?" Rook asked. The two vampires and Pikachu just looked at the Revonnahgander with confused looks on their faces. "I've... been... working on my conversational earthling," he confessed. Bump! Ben felt his blood increase a little. The four sat in another silence for a few moments.

"Wait a minute," Ben spoke up ", there is one nutball that totally does the mutant-creature thing- Dr. Animo!" "Dr. Animo?" Rook asked. "The moron that tried to make Lightning-Flower his personal slave?" Karina asked clutching Lightning-Flower to her chest. "Yeah," he said and turned to Rook ", the guy's been after me since I was little. Freaky frogs, mutant bats, prairie dogs- you name it." Rook began download Animo's file on the Proto-Truk's computer. "I'm not familiar with this 'nutball', of which you speak, but a Dr. Animo is currently in a holding cell at Plumber Headquarters."

"I'm telling you guys it's gotta be Animo," Ben said. "That's what you're telling us," Rook and Karina said at the same time. The four were going down to the prison level to interrogate Animo. "They say 'Tyrak the Tyrant' managed to stage a military coup without ever leaving his prison cell," Rook informed his partners. "Oh yeah I remember hearing about that," Karina commented while scratching behind 758's ear as she sat on her right shoulder.

"See, there you go. That's what Animo must be doing." "He had plasma cannons," the Revonnahgander continued ", and an army of several million." "Well Animo can use like a million, billion animal!" Ben exclaimed ", ever since I was ten years old."

"Curse you, Ben Tennyson!" Animo yelled ", curse you and your meddling way!"

"You haven't seen the last of me, Ben Tennyson!" Animo screamed.

"I'll get you if it's the last thing I do, Ben Tennyson!"

"Did he actually say those things?" Rook asked. Ben was about to spoke when he paused in thought ", actually I'm not sure. Karina?" He turned to the tall girl. "Hey don't look at me," Karina said ", every time I saw that man I toned him out because I just wanted to rip his head off." Ben and Rook moved a little bit away from her in fear. "He cannot be that bad."

They stopped in front of the scientist's cell; Rook pressed his Plumber Badge against the panel next the door to unlock it. The door opened. The four saw it was filled with miss match, ugly plushies, but no Animo.

"What did I tell you, Rook," the bruentte grabbed a toy and throw it to Rook ", the crazy is right here in front of us." He cot the doll ", yet the prisoner is not." "See? I told you guys he was the one attacking me." "The force field hasn't been tampered with." "Then there has to be a vent or access panel or something. There always is in these places. Why is that anyway?" "I'm not sure," Karina interjected ", but the Plumber Base is suppose to be prepare for anything so Animo couldn't have use the traditional ways to escape."

Ben looked around the cell then saw something. It was a trail of black ants! "What are all these ants doing here?" Ben suddenly asked. "Ants are quite common on Earth," the Revonnahgander informed ", there are well over 12,000 species." "Yeah what's the big deal?" Karina asked confused.

The petite brunette saw that the trail was beginning from behind a toilet. "But what these ants doing here?" He moved the toilet to reveal a tunnel ", still think Animo's not the guy attacking me?" Ben crawled into the tunnel. "Ok we stand corrected," Karina said crawling after him, Lightning-Flower and Rook following.

"And... we're in the sewers," Ben pinched his nose ", of course we are." Rook turned on the flashlight mode in his Proto-Tool ", these sanitation ducts run under the whole city. The escape prisoner can be any where." "Not exactly," Karina pointed to the trail of ants. They followed the ants. That's when they found a giant mutant ant, that breathes fire! The ant attacked them. Ben, Karina, and LF jumped out of the way, while Rook ducked and the ant tried to crush his head, but he grabbed it before it could.

"Fire breathing giant ant," Ben commented ", classic Dr. Animo." "Rook's in trouble," Karina said. "Lightning-Flower use Iron Tail to knock the ant away from Rook!" 758's tail glowed, she ran towards the giant insect, and smacked it away from him. "You okay Rook?" Lightning-Flower asked in concern. The Revonnahgander gasped in shock ", y-you talked?!" "Yeah no time to explain," Lightning-Flower turned toward the ant ", we got a big bug to squish!"

"She's right!" Ben dialed the Omnitrix, but instead of turning into Swampfire like he wanted he turned into Echo-Echo. "Echo-Echo? Why am I not surprised?" He asked himself sarcastically.

He lead the ant away from his partners. He surrounded it with his clones, trapping it, then blasted it was a sonic attack that caused it to explode! Rook, Karina, and LF right behind Ben as he changed back to normal. "Ingenious," the older boy spoke ", the sound must of atomized the pyrophoric chemicals in its body."

"Uhh... Yeah," the brunette turned to the others ", cause 'Echo-Echo' is the sound of..." The sound of clicking echoed through the room as a group of mutant ants surrounded them. "Vic...tor...y?" "We really should of seen this coming," Karina commented.

"Don't suppose you have a freeze ray on that thing?" Ben asked Rook. "No." "Fire extinguisher?" Karina asked. "That would be a useful feature." Ben was about to turn into an alien, but when he activated the Omnitrix, the ants walked away from them.
"Was it something I said?" Ben asked as the group of ants that were surrounding them ", because I'll say it again!" "They gave up to easily," Lightning-Flower said.

"Yeah come on!" Ben ran in the direction of the ants. His partners following him.

"So where is that pathetic excuse of a scientist, Dr. Animo?" the red head asked angrily. "Oh, I don't know," Ben said sarcastically ", how about over there? Inside that skyscraper sized anthill?!" They turned to the giant mountain-like structure. "Oh! Right," she said. They ran towards one of the entrances. "How are we gonna get in there?" 758 asked still feeling Rook staring at her.

On the way to Animo's lair, Karina had explained to Rook that Lightning-Flower was a genetic experiment created by her father and was built to be the greatest living weapon in the universe. But she didn't tell him about all of her powers. "You'll find out," was what she told him.

"Rook stop staring at me!" LF yelled at the Revonnahgander. He blushed and turned his attention to the ground. Bump! Bump! "Maybe we can fight our way in?" the brunette suggested clutching his chest. "No," Karina pointed to the ants ", we're out numbered. Ants are very territorial creatures." "One moment Karina," Rook spoke up. The others turned to the Revonnahgander as he dipped his hand in a puddle of green goo. Suddenly, he gently slapped his goo covered hand onto Ben's face. "Hey! What's the mud pack?" "Not mud- pheromones."

"Ants instinctively attack any intruders..." Rook started covered himself in goo. "So with these secretions on us, we'll like members of the colony!" Karina finished his sentence ", brilliant!" She began covering Ben, LF and herself in pheromone goo. "I hope this worked," Ben and Lightning-Flower said. They walked on the trail; the bugs didn't seem to notice them until one ant turned to them and came closer. Karina, 758, and Rook stood firm while Ben hide behind Rook in fear.

Karina looked at the two and smirked.

" !" "Ben Tennyson!" The psycho scientist turned to the Plumbers. "What's the big deal with sending creepy mutant aliens to kill me?" Ben asked as he wiped the gunk off of himself. Rook used Ben's shirt to wipe off his face. Ben blushed dark red ", d-dude!" He stuttered pulled his shirt down; Rook just shrugged in confusion. While the girls shook the gunk off like a couple of dogs.

"Mutant aliens?" Animo questioned ", I don't know what your talking about." He looked at Lightning-Flower and smirked. My ultimate slave has returned to me Animo thought. "Don't play dumb!" Karina screamed. "I'm not playing!" He defended himself ", honestly I haven't planned on killing Tennyson until phase two but here you are."

Karina growled in anger. That's when Karina and Animo started screaming at each other; little did they know that Khyber and his mutt were right outside.

Ben, Rook, and the girls destroyed the anthill, thanks to Karina rewiring the power core and Ben destroying Animo's ant mind control helmet with his new alien form, Crashhopper. But the shape shifting alien mutt showed up, and left after the ants tried to kill it. Now they were transporting Animo to Plumber HQ. Ben was looking out the window, not speaking. The red head was concerned about her little brother ", Ben are you ok? Normally after we take down a bad guy you're usually really happy." "I agree," Rook said ", this is not your usual jubilant post-butt-kicking attitude... dude."

Bump! Bump! Ben felt his blood increase, but hid his pain from his friends. "Animo's not the guy." "True." "And that... whatever that it is that keeps jumping, did you guys see how it turned into the exact perfect predator to fight my new alien? It's like a 'Ben-eating' monster." "I'll admit- Rook and I thought you being paranoid before," the older girl said ", but someone is defiantly out to get you. Someone very dangerous." She reached out and gently squeezed Ben's shoulder ", but you don't have to face whoever it is by yourself. We'll also be there for you little brother."

Ben smiled and thought, Karina's a great friend and at least today was busy enough to keep my mind off of what happened yesterday. He glanced at Rook, their eyes met for a second before they looked in the other directions. Rook's probably thinking the same thing. "Ben, could you meet me after work?" Rook asked. I guess it's impossible to avoid him completely, since he knows my secret now, I can't lie to him anymore.

A couple hours later... Rook was standing behind 'Max's Plumbing' waiting for Ben. Little did he know a mysterious figure landed behind him and started walking towards him. Rook felt a presence ", Ben? Is that you?" He turned to see that it really was Ben's father in a black cape. "You must be Rook." The Revonnahgander froze in fear, then the older man swung his cape around him. Rook let out a scream of horror.

"Sorry to make you wait," Ben said as he walked through the back door. "Huh? Rook?"

Meanwhile at Ben's house... Rook grunted as he fell to the floor, he sat up to see Carl and Sandra standing in front of him. "Who are you?" "Sorry for kidnapping you so suddenly," Carl said ", I'm Ben's father, my name is Carl." "And I'm Ben's mother," Sandra smoked a cigar ", you can call me Sandra. I-If they are his parents then they are both... The memory of Karina trying to erase his mind came to him, vampires. Carl crouched down and out his hands on the young man's shoulders ", the reason we brought you here tonight because we wanted to meet the charming young man, who's learn our family secret face to face. Please take a seat; no need to be so nervous." "Y-Yes s-sir."

Back with Ben... "I wonder where Rook is," he sighed ", no problem I'll just call him." He pulled out his cellphone ", come to think of it... I don't know Rook's number. And I don't even know if he has a cellphone."

Back with Rook... He was looking around the house, this is a vampire's home. "Well I'm not sure what to say," Carl said sheepishly ", I mean this the first time we had one of Ben's co-workers over to our house." "Uhh... It's all right." "Oh! Are you thirsty? Would you like something to drink? How about some tea... Ohpf!" Sandra smacked the back of her husband's head with her shoe.

"This isn't the time to socialize!" She yelled ", now get down to business!" She kept hitting him. "But-But how can he talk if he's all nervous dear?" "Don't you talk back to me!" If she can do that to him Rook thought what are they going to do to me? But I..."I have to know," Rook spoke up; Sandra stopped when she heard him. "A few days ago I saw Ben with my mother in the park and well..." Rook explains ", she has marks on her neck and now she is like a completely different person; I have been very worried about her. I am worried she had changed because a vampire had sucked her blood that night."

The older vampires looked at each other as he talked. "I do not care about what happens to me. I just... I just want my mother to be like the way she was before!"

With Ben... He was pulling petals off of some flowers he found while saying "he'll come," "he won't come." Then screamed in frustration.

With Rook... "I'm afraid you must be mistaken," Carl said ", the fact is my son doesn't suck blood." Rook was both shocked and confused ", he does not... suck blood?" "Do you remember the time where his blood overflow and he had a nosebleed?" Rook gasped. "My son is special. He was actually injecting his overflowing blood into your mother. "But how is that possible?" Rook asked ", because if he was a vampire, wouldn't crosses, sunlight, and garlic hurt him? And I heard a stake through the heart would kill a vampire."

"A stake through the heart?" Carl chuckled ", that's simply barbaric." "Honestly a stake through the heart would kill pretty much anyone," Sandra commented. "True." "Well, there are many myths about vampires that simply aren't true my boy," Carl explained ", don't believe everything you read." "Still," the Revonnahgander said ", is it really ok for him to go around giving blood to anyone? What about incompateable blood types or alien blood? Is it not dangerous?"

"Human and alien blood types don't affect vampire," the older man answered ", we're compateable with everyone." "If we suck your blood it's not like you'll turn into a mindless zombie or anything," Sandra explained. "We take away your stress or you stop lying," Carl continued ", that's pretty much the only lasting effect there is." "But my mother," Rook looked at the floor ", she is different." "In my cousin's case, it's a bit more complicated."

Rook looked to his left to see Gwen standing next to him with Lightning-Flower in her arms. "Wait! Where did you come from?" Lightning-Flower started laughing which freaked Rook out. "Say hello to my little friend." Gwen starts explaining ", all of the people my cousin's bitten up til now... Have become more lively or extremely cheerful. It's almost as if he's given them the power to become more like who they wish they could be. You see that's only real effect we have on people."

"Uhh... That is my mother..." "The effects are lingering a bit longer then usual," the red head said ", but they'll go away soon. Don't worry." I... Rook had a flashback to when he was little and was looking at his depressed mother, I have never seen my mother like this before.

"Now then." Rook looked up to see Sandra sitting on the arm of the chair he was sitting on. "Are you quite through with all your questions?" She asked as leaned closer to him. "You've learned about our true identities," she put her arm around his shoulders ", so as I see it you have a responsibility to us now, my dear." "Responsibility?" Rook questioned. "Yes," Sandra grabbed his furry chin ", if people find out about our secret, I'll have to erase all your memories."

"All my memories?!" "Unfortunately, at this point it's a bit late to erase just your memories about us vampires," she then whispered in his ear ", I'll no choice but to make your brain a complete blank." Rook gasped ", what?!" "You won't want your dear family to be bothered with your care for the rest of their lives now would you?" The room fell into a small silence. "*Giggle* You're trembling that's so cute!" Sandra playful slapped the back of Rook's head ", as long as you keep our secret I'll leave your little brain alone. Relax!"

"But Sandra he told Ben-" Carl was cut off. "Now listen I would never do something like that!" Sandra quoted the Revonnahgander ", also I heard so there's nothing to worry about!"
