"Maya, what do you want?" I ask stepping up to stand barely inches from the impressive tan wolf.
"I want you off what is rightfully mine." Maya snarls and I snort.
"Rightfully yours? I'm sorry when did your traitor blood become alpha?" I laugh and notice the anger flash in her eyes.
"I am the strongest wolf in the woods, it will all be mine one day." Maya puffs her chest out and I laugh again."
"Strongest? Really little itty bitty Maya has become stronger than the alpha running these lands for nearly a century? I somehow can't get pass this one memory of my youngest cousin Teddy pinning you, when you were three times his size." Now she's snarling, I know how my words will knock her off focus.
"Shut up Beca!"
"Whatever, just go run back to your den hole, I don't have time to deal with your petty shit. Enjoy the land I'll take it back when I take over for Gran." I say, turning my back to her, I walk back toward Chloe and Gran.
"Don't you dare walk away from me Beca!" She hollers, I turn snapping my jaws less than an inch from hers.
"Don't tell me what to do Maya, you aren't my alpha. Don't make me take your stance away from you already."
"Try it."
"No, you know what? I'm not going to fall for your tricks, you always were a sneaky bitch." I step closer to her, "I won't stand for you being on my territory. Get off my land Maya, take your pack and never come back. Your blood is tainted, I want it off my land." I felt Frank stand up beside me, soon the rest of the pack stood by me. Chloe even gets up and stands beside me, I smile at her. I should have known better, Maya was always the kind of person that wanted to see others suffer, not just die. She launches herself at Chloe, before anyone could react Edmure had gone from the strong man to a very large blue and gold dragon, the whole forest stopped moving as he bellows.
"Stay away from my daughter." He demands and Maya takes multiple steps backwards, her other pack members are already gone.
"Edmure, meet Maya, Maya, Edmure Beale. I do believe you just tried to kill his daughter. I hear wolf is a very tasty snack Ed." Gran provokes the very large dragon who actual chuckles and smoke comes out his nose. I nearly pass out. Maya take her chance and runs off into the forest, it isn't the last I've seen of her, I have to figure out what to do with her and to stop this curse on Chloe's family.
