Hello my wonderful readers!

This is chapter 19! Sorry it didn't come out yesterday I was busy the whole day, anyway please enjoy the chapter! Feel free to tell me what you think compliments, criticism, anything!

I do not own Marvel...

When I open my eyes in the morning I was expecting to see others running about, getting ready for the day, normal things. What I did not expect was there to be a lack of life, there was no one in the quarters.

Damn, I overslept!

I run out of the room as soon as I am ready, jumping on one leg as I put my last shoe on. I was very grateful that I felt better today, and had barely any symptoms left that showed I was attacked four days ago. I run to the queen's chambers as quickly as I can, making it to the door I abruptly start running and walk in as calmly as I could.

There were only two other servants in the room, leaving obviously just finishing with their task of helping the queen with her bath. I breathed a sigh of relief, happy that I hadn't missed my own time of service to the queen.

"Sanna are you here yet?"

"Y-Yes your highness."

I remembered what happened yesterday. I also remembered what she said to Loki, like she was inferring that she knew something else about me. I only hoped that it wasn't anything compromising. I walk into the queen's chambers and see a dress already lain out on the bed, with Queen Frigga standing by idly. I walk up to the bed and pick up the dress, unlacing it as I do so.

"I did not see you yesterday, were you still recovering from sickness?"

I nod my head, knowing she doesn't know that I overheard her and Loki speaking of me. "Yes but I feel much better today."

I'm going to be honest, I respected and feared Queen Frigga to the highest extent. She seems to know so much about me and maybe stuff I do not even know about myself… I started to help the queen into her dress, and started lacing it up once more.

"I want you to be careful Sanna."

"I-I'm always careful my queen, you needn't worry."

I finished lacing the gown and stood back. Queen Frigga turned back to me, a perplexed look on her features.

"I know of your actions with my sons, but I suspect you already knew that I did?"

Not trusting my words, I nod slowly. "I also suppose that you have been told of my conditions?"

I nod again, "y-yes I am. But my queen may I be so bold as to ask you a question?"

She turns away from me and looks out a window in her room. "Of course you can Sanna."

I swallow a lump that had been forming in my throat, "w-why did you not tell the great All-Father the moment you figured it out? T-That I had been practicing archery?"

The queen sighs, "honestly Sanna, at first I didn't expect you to be as good as you are now. I thought you would have some talent inherited from you father, I did not think that you would receive so much from him. After I realized you did, you were already becoming so good, I thought it wrong of me to take away such warrior potential from Asgard."

I felt air escape my lips, did the queen really think I was that good?

"My queen, w-what was my father really like? Not personality but fighting ability?"

She turns back to me with a somber expression, "he was one of the best archers of Asgard." She suddenly started to smile, "he talked about you and your mother constantly. The All-Father once claimed he boasted more than Thor does now."

A strange feeling overcomes me, "wait, he fought with the All-Father?"

"Once, a long time ago...I will tell you more on a later date. You must be going, be careful when practicing today."

I gasp, I hadn't told her I'd be practicing today… "U-Uh yes, of course."

I curtsey and start walking backwards towards the door, bumping into it before grabbing hold of the door handle.

"Farewell my queen," I say quickly before bolting out the door.

How does she do that?

I sigh as I start walking to the practicing area, there is no doubt in my mind where Loki gets his wit from…

"Sanna there you are!" I hear Fandral say loudly as I walk up to him.

I grab the bow and quiver he is holding out and start to ready the bow for shooting. "What am I learning today?"

Fandral places a hand to his chin and begins stroking his beard. "Well, in all honesty you are completely caught up in regards to an expert archer. Now we will work on the small things that will make you a master."

I nod slowly, "okay...what's first?"

Fandral started listing all the things wrong with my stance and posture. Everything from my legs being too close together to my neck being too stiff. What does a stiff neck have to do with archery anyway? Still I complied and listened to him. I was starting to get the hang of the new posture, and even shooting a little better when a guard come up to Fandral.

"Lord Fandral, Prince Thor has asked you to come to his sitting chambers. He says the matter is urgent."

Fandral sighs, "damn, you were getting better too."

He turns back to me offering a small smile, "come on then Sanna. You should come as well."

I hesitate for a moment as he walks away, "a-are you sure?"

Fandral stops and his shoulders stiffen, "yes Sanna I'm sure."

I quickly start running to catch up with him upon hearing the serious tone in his voice. He never acts serious, why now?

"He never says a matter is urgent. He will normally tell the messenger to say there is a new journey and much fun to be had...or something to that effect."

Fandral was worried?

We finally appeared at Thor's chamber doors, Fandral does not even bother to knock as he lets himself in. I stop at the doors, still unsure if I should even go in unannounced.

"Are you going to stand there all day?"

I jump slightly at the sound of his voice, but soon a small smile forms on my features.

"Loki," I say as I turn to face him.

My heart skips a beat when I see the lack of a smirk on his face and the strange hollowness in his eyes. My smile fades immediately, not thinking about the consequences I grab his hand. Surprisingly he does not shake it away, "we should get inside."

He starts to walk in, dragging me along with him. I start to worry about the others seeing us holding hands, what they would think or do...But before I can voice my worries, Loki simply moves from holding my hand to my wrist.

We walk in quietly and everyone looks up all holding the same expression that Loki held. He lets go of my wrist and sits down on the two person seat accompanied by no one else. After a quick survey of the room, and seeing that everyone is here but Thor. I see Sif and consider asking her how she is, but due to the atmosphere of the room I decide against it. I end up sitting in the open seat by Loki and wait for Prince Thor to enter the room.

The light haired prince enters the room some time later with the same hollowed look in his eyes that everyone else had. Finally Thor sighed, "as I'm sure all of you know, the All-Father has fallen into the Odinsleep."

I gasp, no one had bothered to tell the servants, I was completely clueless!

I wanted nothing more than to ask how he did so soon, but due to the somber expressions of everyone in the room I keep my mouth closed. "That is not the worst of it though," Thor continued. "It seems Heimdall has seen unrest in Muspelheim, and believes that they are planning to retake the Wizard's Eye."

What? But the Wizard's Eye was kept in the palace.

"They are going to lay siege to the palace, aren't they?" I say quietly.

Thor nods numbly, and there is a deafening silence that takes over the room. Not a soul bothers moving for a time and I start to wonder if we really have any hope. Either way, whether I would admit it or not, I was afraid to face the Muspelheim again. Suddenly Loki sighs beside me and stands up.

"Well this is not solving anything brother, now is it?"

Thor looks at Loki looking slightly shocked and maybe even relieved (not sure on last part) that Loki had decided to take over. Loki walks to the front and looks at everyone before turning to Thor to speak.

"Well this was a grand idea brother! Call everyone here to create a plan, but say nothing. One of your best, really."

Sif stands up looking angry, "are you saying we should be happy about this?"

Loki's expression changes, "of course not! But we cannot just sit here and do nothing, if we want them to or not the Muspelheim are coming."

Everyone is silent at Loki's words, I watch as he leans on the chair with his hands. He looks up and makes eye contact with me, I give him a reassuring smile and he continues to speak.

"We should try to stop them before they get to the palace, so I propose that we split up. We send half the group to the only entrance that they can come through, and the other half to the front of the place. Two warriors, one from each group will be sent as a last resort to guard the treasure room containing the Wizard's Eye."

Another silence starts to ensue but Fandral sighs quickly killing it before it can even start. "As much as it annoys me to say this, Loki's plan is probably the best we have."

He turns to Loki, offering a slight smile, "alright I'm in. Who do you plan on having in each group?"

Loki taps his finger rhythmically on the chair in front of him. "That is what's up for discussion. I have an idea of what is best but I want to hear everyone else's ideas as well before going with my own. After much deliberation, the groups were decided. Thor would lead the first wave of soldiers by the entrance Loki spoke of.

After a slight argument, was decided since he was the first wave he would have Hogun and Volstagg. Loki will be in front of the palace so he will have Fandral. This left Lady Sif and I as the last defense. I couldn't help but notice how Loki was adamant on keeping me away from the fighting. I tried to complain, but Thor was no better with Sif.

"Lady Sif, you were injured barely a week ago, it is for the best if you stay away from the fighting this once."

Everyone starts to file out of Thor's chambers, deciding to start the guarding the very next morning. I was about to go to the servant's quarters but a familiar grip on my arm stopped me, normally I'd be happy that he had stopped me.

But this time was different, "let go of me Loki."

I say with the best indifferent tone I could muster. Instead of listening to me though I see a flash of green light invade my sight. When the light disappears we are in his bedchambers.

I catch myself on a chair when the light fades, "could you at least give me some warning?"

I could still hear the irritation in my voice that had stayed with me since the placing of our forces.

-Flashback-

..."Finally Sanna and Sif should be guarding the treasure room." Loki finished, Fandral held a perplexed look on his features.

"Loki, everything is fine except...Do you not think that Sanna would be better used in front of the palace. Archery is not very useful in small areas, and that hallway by the room isn't the largest…"

Loki sighed, "It is better this way Fandral, after all they both were injured recently. It would be better to keep them there to be safe."

I furrow my eyebrows, "b-but I feel fine now…"

"So do I! It's not right for you to keep us out of the way like that Loki!"

She yells loudly and turns to Thor, seeking backup from him.

"Thor tell him!"

But much to her's and my own dismay, Thor's expression remained calm. "Actually Sif, I agree with Loki."

What?

"WHAT!" Sif said, voicing my own inner thoughts. "Thor, you cannot be serious…"

Thor says nothing, and turns away. "It is for the best, Lady Sif."

This cannot be happening…

Loki looks at all of us, "so it is decided then?"

Everyone but Sif, Fandral, and I nod in agreement.

-End Flashback-

"Why were you so against me helping you?"

I cross my arms and continue, "Loki, I'm an archer. I work better outside, that is how archery works!"

Loki turns away from me, putting his hands behind his back.

"I do not have to explain myself to you."

I scoff at that, "yes you do! If you do not give me a decent reason right now I swear to the Norns I will walk out."

Loki turns back to me with a blank expression, "then go. I have nothing to say."

I am slightly shocked at his words, I look closer into his blank features and see something I did not expect...worry.

Is he worried I will get hurt again? Is that his problem?

Instead of walking out I sigh, "fine you win. I will stand guard with Sif."

I go to walk out of the room, and grab the door frame before doing so. "Loki, please just tell me your reasoning next time. You're very hard to read sometimes…If you were worried, you could have just said so."

Loki's eyes widen and he makes eye contact with me. His face still holding a blank expression, but instead he looks slightly amused instead of annoyed.

"I will keep that in mind next time...Just be cautious. I would hate to have to carry you again, it honestly it was quite bothersome."

Even though he was trying to cover it up, I could still feel the sincerity behind his words.

I smile, "you should be careful as well."

Before I can walk out of the door Loki is suddenly there grabbing my hand and pulling me into a kiss. I was completely shocked at first, not expecting the sudden approach on his part. But soon my shock disappears and a sense of longing overcomes me. I wrap my arms around him, pulling him closer.

He pulls back and smirks, "you were not expecting that?"

I smile in return, "do I ever?"

"No, not really…" He says before going in for another kiss, one definitely more passionate and hungry than the last. I return the kiss, and he suddenly picks me up and places me on his bed. Somehow throughout moving me he still manages to keep his lips on my own. He breaks off from my lips and starts kissing my collarbone repetitively. He suddenly stops, his hot breath on my neck.

"Promise me," he says suddenly kissing my cheek before resting his head on the crook of my neck.

"Promise me you will be careful. That you will not do something like you did back in Muspelheim."

I was so caught up in what we were doing. Honestly, after the second kiss I was completely out of it, my thoughts only consisting of the man in front of me. It took me a moment to understand him, only being pulled back by the worry in his voice.

"I cannot give you that exact promise, but I can promise you that I will try."

I say,my voice quiet and rough with want as I give him a chaste kiss on his temple.

I feel his warm breath on my neck act as a wave as he sighs.

"I guess that will have to do."

Suddenly his lips are back on mine and all remnants of that conversation are soon forgotten. I let myself get wrapped up in the kiss and his very presence. Deciding it best to just enjoy this small moment of happiness before having to worry about the world again afterwards.

That's it for this chapter!
