Chapter 13: The Relationship Blooms

It wasn't until morning when Loki made his way out of his room. The teenager had unusually messy hair when he walked into the kitchen. He grabbed something from one of the cabinets to eat as he headed out the front door. He didn't care what his parents had to say to him.

He stuffed his hands in his pants pockets after he finished eating. Loki was taken back when he saw Steve in the front of his house. Sparkling blue eyes gazed into dull emerald eyes.

"My grandparents received a call from Mr. Fury. Apparently he had a change of heart," Steve explained a bit. "I'm going to walk you to class."

"We're not at school yet," Loki noted before walking past the blond.

A sigh escaped Steve's mouth before turning on his heel and following the black haired teen. As soon as they got far enough away from Loki's parents house, Steve took the closest hand he could grab of Loki's. Emerald eyes looked up in confusion.

A small smile graced the blond's lips before he said, "People should know right?"

Dark eyebrows knitted together. He was trying to gather his thoughts to say something. Nothing was coming to his mind. Before he could say anything, the pair arrived at the school building. Butterflies filled Loki's stomach when he saw people getting out of their cars. He fought the urge to yank his hand away from Steve's. Emerald eyes shot to the ground.

Walking through the front door of the building, the two teenagers were stopped by the principal.

"I need to talk with Mr. Odinson," Fury said, causing Loki to look at him.

"About what?" Steve asked, raising a pale eyebrow.

Loki's weight shifted a bit between feet. He took his hand out of Steve's hand. He looked to the taller male. He placed a hand on one of his shoulders.

"It's okay. It's probably nothing," Loki said, letting a sly smile get plastered on his face.

With that, the pale teen followed Fury into his office. As Loki opted to remain standing, the principal took a seat at his desk. Emerald eyes found themselves looking around the all too familiar office.

"Mr. Odinson, I hear you recently pressed charges on a student that was recently arrested," Fury said, getting Loki's attention again.

"Are you so surprised? If I need to get someone out of my life, I will find a way."

"Even if that way lands another in jail?"

With that Loki nodded a bit. He didn't have to explain himself to the older male. He folded his arms over his small chest. He turned on his heel and headed to the door. There was nothing else to say at that moment.

The moment he stepped out of the office, Loki saw Steve talking with Tony. A sharp pain hit the dark haired teen's stomach. He hadn't spoken to his friend in a couple of days. He took steps over to the other two teenagers. A pit of fear started to fill Loki's stomach.

"Steve was just telling me about you two," Tony said as he spotted the other.

"Nothing bad I hope?" Loki asked, looking at the blond.

"Nothing bad I promise," Steve said, chuckling a bit.

Loki nodded a bit before looking back at Tony and saying, "It was nice to see you again."

"Same," Tony said before watching Steve and Loki walk off.

"Did something happen between you and Stark?" Steve asked as the two of them hovered outside Loki's classroom.

"It's nothing you need to bother yourself with," Loki said about to head through the door.

Steve grabbed Loki's arm gently and said, "We're going to have to talk about this one day you know?"

Loki nodded and continued to walk into class.
