Here we go, chapter 7. What happens now is up to you guys. Any helpful words of advice, or constructive criticism is welcome (and quite possibly needed…)
Disclaimer: I don't own My Little Pony: FiM or Rise of the Guardians
The moment that we landed back at North's lair, I was bombarded with questions and demands for answers.
"Why would you lie to us?"
"How could you lie after we trusted you?"
"Who are you?"
"Not who Tooth, what is she?"
"A monster."
The reply stopped all talking and we turned to look at Lyra. The normally calm expression was gone and had been replaced with an angry scowl. She stalked up to me and swung her arm.
A loud smack rang in the silence. I stood there, unmoving as I stared at her, unfazed. This just made her angrier.
"Do you even care that you've lied and betrayed us?!" she shrieked.
She moved to hit me again, but the blow never landed.
"Let go!" she yelled, attempting to remove her hand from my grasp. I did the opposite, slowly applying pressure until she gasped and fell to her knees in front of me.
The other Guardians moved to attack, but I released her before they reached us.
"Don't hit me." I told her. Then I kicked her out of my way before turning to the other Guardians. "I advise not doing the same thing that she did. You might end up a little, worse."
"You are just like them, a heartless monster. I bet that you don't even truly care about us." Io spat.
I snapped, and my hair flared. "I'm heartless and don't care? Who got you out of there before you were killed? I did. The only things I don't care for right now are your stupid, annoying insults and questions. I don't have to explain myself to you. I just saved your lives in case you forgot."
I snarled in anger and stalked off towards the door, but before I reached it, a wall of ice stopped me. I turned to see the Guardians, weapons in hand and put a hand on Nightbringer.
"You seriously don't want to do this now do you?" I asked with a hint of 'are you kidding me?'
"Or you don't want us to." Jack said.
"Do you really mean to tell me that even after you've seen what I can do, you still want to challenge me?"
They looked uncertain until Lyra cut in. "We've seen what you can do but we can also tell that you've used up a lot of energy. We aren't stupid."
"And in case you've forgotten," Io said trying to throw my own words back at me. "You've told us your history and how you tried to take over your world to make it eternal night. We are going to prevent that from happening here."
Then they attacked. I fought hard and used a great deal of my magical energy. Eventually they all lay on the ground and I stood over them, panting. Then I noticed Pitch wasn't amongst them.
I quickly whirled around, just to be bashed by a large Nightmare. At first I thought it was one of the Nightmare Force, coming back to get me again, but then I noticed that it was a fearling Nightmare, the kind Pitch used made out of black sand.
I shook my head to get the sand out of my hair. Magical energy filled my palms and I looked around for Pitch.
"Pitch you too?" I asked.
"…Yes…" he'd finally replied.
"But, why?" I asked, eyes darting to find him. "You must've noticed that you and I aren't so different. We are both creatures of the night and we both create nightmares even if we do it differently."
"I have a family now, I'm a Guardian."
"So am I!"
"Not a real one. You've lied this whole time about who you really are and you don't help us. And to think that we put ourselves in danger to help save you. I thought that we were friends."
"We are," I said desperately.
"Friends don't lie to other friends."
"And you've never lied to them?" I retorted lashing at him.
He stopped for a moment before answering. "That was the past, this is now and I'm not the same."
"Then why can't the same be said for me? How do you know that I haven't changed?"
"Because you are still willing to hurt everyone who gets in the way. Look at what you did to the Guardians."
I stopped for a second and looked at the Guardians groaning on the floor. "They attacked me first."
"You still lied and betrayed our trust."
"Maybe you betrayed mine! I thought that I finally had a place to call home. I thought that I finally had friends that I could count on! Did you even listen back there?!"
"Well you thought wrong." Came Lyra's voice.
I whipped around just in time to see Jack's ice hit me in the face and everything went dark. But before I completely lost conciseness, I heard someone say "This is for your own good as well as the rest of the world."
Oh no! Nightmare! Now what am I going to do for my story? Reviews are what fuel the plot my friends tell me what you want to see and maybe it shall be done…
