Infiltrator and Denial(On Oa)

It's been a little over twenty four hours since the Amazo incident. I have to admit, the team is very persistent. I didn't leave my room much on the sixth of August, just to get something to eat, and when I did, they were on me like electricity on wire. Not sure if that comparison actually makes sense. But even when I was in my room, researching, there was someone in the hall outside my room. Maybe they're more worried than I thought.

The seventh came and went, much like the sixth. I was in my room researching, sifting through the files I received from Tomar Re, only leaving for meals, when my ring beeped. Jordan.

"Greetings, Oh Silent One." Typical joker. "How's the corps favorite?"

A simple thumbs up was his reply.

"Yea- no. The other Leaguers told us what happened with your team. They sound like they really care about you." I snort at that. They don't know anything about me. "Hey, if your thinking they can't care about you because they barely know you, I have two things to say to you. One: It's your fault they don't know you, and two: John, the entire Lantern Corp, and I barely know you, and we care about you. So... don't be so hard on them. They thought that they could find out why you aren't speaking with anyone if they went into your room. I tried that with my brother when we were younger."

The conversation cut off, leaving me in silence.

Ok... where is every one?

It's the eighth and when I left my room, no one from my team was around. M'gann wasn't even trying to cook.

"If you are looking for your teammates, they have gone to the beach." I looked up. Ok, was Red watching the security cameras?

I changed into shorts and a t-shirt that said, 'GREEN IS WAY BETTER THAN YELLOW.' and went for the back exit that led to the beach.

"But first, a moment of silence for our missing comrade." Wait, what did Robin just say?

"Poor Wally." WHAT?!

Superboy must have heard me coming, because he turned to me, and saw me standing there with a 'WTF?' look. "Guys, I think we scared GL." At that, they all spun around to face me.

"Green Lantern!" Megan flew to me, giving me a bone crushing hug. "You came!"

Ok... WHAT HAPPENED TO WALLY?! Priorities people!

"Oh, don't worry about Wally. He's just at school." Ok. Wow. What's the big deal about school? Never gone myself honestly. I learned all that stuff from Tomar Re and John.

"Does this mean you have forgiven us?" Sighing, I give Kal a thumbs up.

"YES!" Everyone cheered. It's not that big a deal guys.

"So, you wouldn't mind if we had Superboy throw you out into the water?" What?

Soon, I was being picked up against my will. Why did I leave my ring in my room?

I was giving them a look that said, 'Guys, don't do this.'

"Don't worry GL. The water won't hurt you. Be whelmed." Oh so know he uses the word in the right context. It wouldn't hurt me normally. There's just one thing.

I soon hit the water, and struggle to stay up. I don't know how to swim.

You're probably thinking, 'You love the legends of Atlantis! Why do you not know how to swim?" Easy. I've never needed to learn.

The sound of every ones laughter floats over to me. They probably think I'm messing with them. Let's see how they feel when, my ring is looking for a new recruit. Then all noise is gone as I sink down.

3rd POV

"Guy's I don't think she's messing with us."

"Come on, Miss M. She's part of a galactic police force. Why wouldn't she know how to swim."

"Robin, I can hear her heart beat from under the water. It's getting slower." Silence.

"I'm going in for her.

Tanya POV

I was aware that I had let water into my mouth. I was aware that I was going deeper. My vision started to fade, when I felt webbed hands on my arms. Soon I was laying on something gritty, with voices calling my names, but I couldn't answer because I couldn't breath.

Then I felt something on my lips, and a rush of air in my lungs. When it was gone, something was pushing o my chest. It alternated like this until I started coughing, and I felt the water leave my lungs. Eventually I managed to stop, and open my eyes. I see my team, minus KF, looking down at me with relieved eyes.

That's it. I'm done with this.

Trying to push myself up, I feel hands on my shoulders. "Green Lantern, you should be resting." Using Kaldur as leverage, I manage to pull myself to my feet, stumbling only slightly.

Thinking that I want to go to my room, he and Superboy walk near me, I refused to let them touch me, to my room, Robin and Megan nearby. When we reach my room, I go for my ring, shifting into my uniform.

"GL?"

Turning around, I float out of my room, leaving a green message in the air for them. 'I'm going to Oa. We'll see if I come back to Earth.'

I was vaguely aware of them chasing after me. To bad for them, I sent a message to Tornado that I probably wouldn't be around for a long time, and took off before they could stop me.

Later 3rd POV

Wally entered the cave, effectively making a fool out of himself in front of his new team mate.

"Wall-man, huh? Love the uniform. What exactly are your powers?"

"Ah, who is this? And where's GL?"

"Artemis, your new teammate."

"Never heard of you. And seriously, where's Green Lantern?"

"Yeah. I was hoping I would get to meet her."

Silence. Aqualad, Miss Martian, Superboy, and Robin looked down in guilt. Everyone watched them expectantly. No one else knew what happened, not even Tornado.

"We may have made our situation worse with her."

"Worse how?"

More silence. "... Well how were we suppose to know she can't swim?! It's not like she told us!"

"..."

"She didn't die. Just got really pissed off with us."

"... WHAT?!"

"Anyway, Artemis is my new protégé."

"This isn't over. And what about your old one?"

Enter Speedy/Red Arrow.

Tanya POV

"So, I hear you had a fallout with your team." Really not in the mood for an interrogation Kilowag.

I've been on Oa for awhile, It should be August nineteenth on Earth. I've been sitting in the archives the entire time reading. Everyday, Jordan would record messages from my team, and the arrow girl from the Amazo incident, apologizing for everything, and begging for me to come back. I don't know if I can.

"Come on, kid. Jordan sent me those messages too. He even let me talk to the kids. They really want you back, and they want you to trust them."

Snort. Yeah right.

"You know what, you're reminding me of Red right now." How can I possibly remind you of our angry Red Lantern friend? "You hide yourself away from your new team and friends. You don't tell them anything, you go off on your own when you feel like it, and you're afraid."

... How DARE he!

Seeing my look, he waved his hand, "Yeah, yeah, how dare I accuse you of feeling fear. I've seen it before Tany. A Green Lantern is new to a unit. They're the strongest on that team. They're afraid of getting attached to the other members and loosing them. It happens to the best of us. Everyone feels fear. Including you."

He leaves me to stew in my thoughts after that. I've never felt fear before. I'm not sure how to identify it or handle it. What do I do?
