The writer was sitting on the piano bench while Beckett was walking along the living-room suite. She was wearing her jeans and shirt again and Castle had recovered his trousers and his lavender shirt. Despite the bustle, it was not creased and smelled Kate's perfume.

"And... how long do they take?" Castle asked watching all pregnancy test box sides.

The room service was excellent. In five minutes they had brought them all the different pregnant tests on the pharmacy, and the detective had decided to use all.

"A few minutes" she said biting her nails nervously.

The pregnancy tests were placed on the coffee table, covered with napkins so they could not see it, waiting to the results.

"He he he. Keep calm. You look like a teenager." Rick said observing her with love.

Beckett smiled and clapped her hands repeatedly to calm her nerves.

"Yes I do. We do. Don't we?" Kate said.

Castle put his face of 'I don't understand anything' and kept observing her walking with big steps.

"I mean... How many possibilities are there of getting pregnant while using pills? One in a thousand?"

Castle thought and smiled.

"May be... one in a million?" he said while playing on the piano the firsts notes of the Imperial Star Wars theme.

Rick looked at her but she was so serious and quiet that he stopped playing.

"Well. I know it had not been planned but it is wanted... al least for me."

She said nothing. His heart jumped in his chest.

"Kate... do you want it..?"

The detective woke up and answered: "Of course. Of course I want it, babe."

Castle breathed again. They had talked about kids, but always like a plan for the future. But the future had traveled in time until right now.

"It's just... I'm frightened, babe. Have a child in this crazy world... I want but I'm overhelmed thinking in all the bad things could be in his or her life. I'm converting..."

"in a mother" he said smiling.

"I was going to say 'in a paranoid' but you are the writer." she said smiling and clapping again.

Castle stood up, walked and hugged her with tenderness.

"The fright is something we will use to live with, I told you by experience. But I promise you that it will be compensated by the big and unconditional love of our..." he placed his hand on her belly "... our little detective girl."

She smiled and moved her head slowly understanding.

"Two things, Castle. First: you should consider the possibility of being 'our little writer boy'" she said sweetly.

"Girls are better!" he complained.

"I know your point of view: girls fall in love with her daddy and blah, blah, blah."

"It's true!"

"And second one: Please don't touch my belly 'that way' until we know I'm pregnant or not." She stared at him with her eyebrows raised.

"Mmh... These are going to be the longest nine months of my life." He said removing his hand from her belly. He was going to need all his patience to manage the changes of humour, the frightens and the hormones.

They kept hugging, with their foreheads touching.

"Listen, Beckett. Whatever happens, pregnant or not, I could not be more happy."

She kept quiet but smiled, because Castle could see her cheeks rising.

"I could not be more happy either, Rick."

This was the first time she called him by his first name after married, and after her wedding vows, Castle understood that these words came from her heart.

Beckett sighted, and walked holding his hand to the coffee table. They kept looking at the napkins covering their future. Beckett with respect and Castle excited like it was the lost Ark and he was Indiana Jones.

Each one picked a corner of a napkin very carefully, they looked at each other's eyes and nodded slowly with their heads three times.

"WAIT!" Castle said before removing the napkins. Kate paralyzed her movement with her heart fasten.

"Two pink marks equals pregnant, and only one is no-pregnant, right?"

"Castle... YES!"

"O.k. And don't look at me like that. I had never used pregnancy test before, because with Alexis I couldn't... and I don't want mistakes... Had you done this before? I really could fail counting marks and..." The nervous Castle's speech was interrupted with Beckett looking daggers at him.

"O.k. I shut up." he said.

"O.k. At three, Castle" Beckett said wanted to finally know.

They nodded three times again and, with a fast movement, removed the napkins revealing all the pregnancy tests. Castle lent over each one and studied the results conscientiously. Kate kept her eyes stared at the one in front of her.

Rick made a gesture with his arm and yelled. She saw and heard him like she were far from here.

"Kate!" the agitated writer shouted her name. She was in total shock.

After a while, Beckett noticed that he was holding her shoulders, she turned her head and... she saw his radiant smile. Her eyes got wet.

This was raw and pure happiness.

And the happiness drove Rick to hug Kate and kiss and caress her belly like he wanted. She hugged him back with strong while trembling. Their lives will be completed with one more life. They both were so happy that can't express their emotions in words.

After minutes hugging and kissing, Castle walked around the room excited.

"I must tell Alexis... No, wait better when we were back from our honeymoon. Because you can ask holidays, can't you?"

"Yeah" She smiled.

"Then we go, right? Because you can go by plane, right? Our flight leaves in the morning" he was altered, excited, worried and happy.

"Yes, Castle, I'm just pregnant. It's not like being a bomb near to explode." she said radiantly.

"Yes! Of course! Perfect! ...Oh!" Castle leant and put his head in front of Kate's belly. "Hi, this is daddy, sorry if I had scared you a while ago... of before... it was mommy and daddy in their wedding noon-to-night"

"Castle!" Beckett said laughing.

"What? I like a fluid dialog between childen and parents from early years" he said talking to her.

"I like it too. But I think we can be easy, after all he or she came here on similar way"

Castle kept quiet trying to calculate when they conceived their... Caskett baby. He smiled remembering the strip-poker night.

"What?" Beckett asked when she felt his playful eyes looking at her.

"Would you like play dirty-casino?"

"Um... tempting. But, there is something I would like to do before we leave." she said walking slowly towards him.

"Hum?" Castle asked when she stood in front of him.

Beckett put her hands around her neck, he placed his hand on her hips.

"We could ask a limousine... a big and comfortable one, with some to eat and drink -no alcohol for me- and we could go down the longest path to the airport" her eyes sparkled.

"The longest path?" A playful smile appeared on his face.

"Yeah. And... if we aren't busy with... stuff..." she caressed his chest "...I would like to stop at home to pick some lingerie and bikinis..."

"Hu!Hu!Hu! I love your plan!" Rick said holding the phone.
