Omitted Memories Chapter 10
Agatha floated along the deck of the boat as she watches the crew go about their business unaware that she is even there. She floated to the rails of the ships ship looking at the open sea in front of her.
The young ghost let out a sigh as she looked at the seemingly endless ocean in front of her.
"If only you could see me now mommy" She whispered to herself as she tried to focus on what her next step would be once the boat landed.
She stared at blue sky thinking about what she was going to due when this ship she was on reached its destination. She slowly floated to the fail of the ship and peered over the side of the ship down at the blue choppy water below her. She watched in curiosity as the water hit the metal boat as it moved across the ocean.
The young ghost took a deep breath, as she looked further over the side of the boat to see if she could see anything ahead of the bow. Agatha let out a sigh as she saw nothing but the clear blue sky and where it met with the ocean water. In her mind she wishes she could feel the breeze of the wind against her face as she floated along side the deck as the boat sailed on.
She turned as she heard the sound of footsteps behind her as she watched a person who she gathered to be the captain walked over o one of the ship hands.
"We will be making port in about two days, so I want to make sure everything including the cargo is were it needs to be when we pull into the harbor." He said as the boat hand nodded in understanding and they both turned went in opposite directions.
Agatha let out a small smile as she turned back towards the sea.
"Two more days and I will be in London," she thought to herself as she floated down the ships deck before she stop suddenly.
"What will I do when I the boat lands?" she whispered to herself as a sense of unease suddenly came back into her. She floated there realizing that she had no leads besides the name she saw.
"I have no idea where I am going to be going when this boat stops, I don't remember learning anything about London or Europe when I was alive." She thought to herselfas she slowly began to feel as variety of emotions come over her, as she looked down her eye went wide as she noticed the yellow light that seemed to be crackling like lightning from her hands.
Agatha suddenly shut her eyes as she slowly started to breath in and out as she tried to calm the levels of stress that she was feeling. She let out a final breath before opening her eyes and looking and the deck of the ship.
She slowly looked back down at her hands and let out a sigh of relief when she saw that they where back to their normal transparent green color.
"I will find you as soon as I can Norman, and when I do who ever took you will pay" She thought as she looked at the never-ending sea in front of her.
Norman slowly opened his eyes as he slowly began to wake up as he slowly sat up in his bed. He looked around as he slowly stretched his body as he looked at the plain walls of his room. Norman slowly got up from his bed as he began to slowly walk around the room thinking about his last few weeks at where he was at, wincing as he did his best to ignore the pain and soreness he was feeling.
Norman turned his head suddenly when he heard his door open and his eyes widened in fear as he saw Howard standing in the doorframe smiling holding a trey of food.
Norman felt himself breathing heavily as he watched Howard step into his room and the door shut behind him. He watched the man slowly walk over to him and set the food on his bed. Norman slowly looked down and the food and back up at Howard who was still smiling at him.
"You should eat something."
"I'm not hungry." Norman responded as he continued to stare at the man in front of him.
"I see." Howard said before he looked around at the room before slowly moving and sitting down on the bed besides Norman. Who in response look at him in shock and fear.
"Listen kid, I feel we may have gotten off on the wrong foot when we met face to face a few days ago. So Norman, I'm sure you have several question that you want to ask and right now I am here to answer them." He said with a light smile as he stared directly at Norman.
Norman stared back at him as he tried to figure how he should respond before he slowly opened his mouth.
"Why are you doing this to me?"
"As I said, your ability that you poses is rare and fascination and finding out how and why you can see the dead and do what you do, well that will get a very interesting reaction in the world. And that is the main reason why we took you to study and run some tests. I will admit some of these test are a little extreme but it will be worth it when this is over." Howard said as he took a grape from f the food tray and popped it into his mouth.
Norman stared as he watched the man chew the grape before loudly swallowing it.
"You killed someone."
"Yes I did" Howard said as he leaned back. "I did one to sell if you really can see ghosts as well as to explain something to you."
"What are you talking about?" Norman asked as he felt his heart start to pound in his chest as he watched Howard lean closer to him.
"Well just so you understand right now I need you to follow order and do as your told, you a vary important individual that needs to be studied so we can understand why and how you use or gifts. But you need to understand that for your well being you will be expected to follow as we come from a civilized society. Now if you do not understand what I am saying well I will explain it to you further. If you try to stupidly run away like that again I will cut off both of your legs and make you drag yourself on the floor when ever we have to move you somewhere." Howard said as his eyes stayed on Norman who felt a cold sweat start to come over him.
Howard slowly smiled and stood up from the bed and slowly started to walk to the door before turning around to look at Norman for a final time.
"You should eat something you have a very busy day today." Howard said with a smile before he exited the room. Leaving Norman sitting there in silence as he slowly curled up into a ball.
