PP12: How was everyone's new year, huh? Well I'm back with another update! I hope you enjoy!

"How did you know the string was going to break?" the teenage girl questioned as the elevator descended. Sebastian only smirked at her.

"I am one hell of a doctor," he said.

"Wait…" She eyed him suspiciously, "You did that on purpose, didn't you?"

Sebastian smirked wider. "Whatever do you mean?"

"I mean – ugh…never mind," the teenager sighed. The elevator stopped before the doctor could respond and the doors slowly parted, revealing the first level. The two headed out into the foyer and received a friendly wave from Mey-Rin. But as soon as she noticed Sebastian, she squeaked and fell off her chair with blood spurting from her nose. The teenager lifted an eyebrow.

"What was that about?"

"It's just a phase she goes through from time to time. So, are you ready for our next destination?"

"Sure, but where are we headed?"

Sebastian put a finger to his lips with a smirk. "It's a surprise."

"Aw come on! Can't you just tell me?"

The doctor shook his head as he wheeled her through a lively corridor, passing toy shops and cafés where the smell of coffee drifted and danced the teenager's nose. People waved kindly at them, though the teenager knew they were waving mainly at Sebastian, but her eyes were currently focused at the door she headed towards. Through the transparent glass she spotted a rose garden basking in the sunlight where the top of a gazebo could be seen. She decided not to ask Sebastian where he was taking her and waited until she was wheeled through the glass door with an excited smile curving her lips.

The sunlight was warm on her skin when the teenager was out of the hospital, finding herself surrounded by hedges of not just roses, but daffodils, bluebells and every type of flower she knew. The array of colourful flowers made her feel as if she was within a circus, minus the chaos and smell of dung. She could only smell the strong but serene scent of roses and could hear the sound of people chatting mingling with the chirps of birds.

"Here we are," Sebastian said as he pushed the wheelchair along the path and stopping in front of a large fountain that stood in the centre. Water trickled down it with such tranquillity that the sound of it could send anyone to sleep, but the teenager's main focus was on the glorious gazebo that towered behind it. She gazed at the architecture with widened eyes and marvelled at the cream-coloured coating that almost appeared white in the sunlight, and the elegant design of swirls and curves she thought belonged in a painting. Sebastian noticed her gazing at the gazebo.

"So what do you think?" the doctor inquired.

"It's gorgeous," she breathed, "I mean, just look at it! I wish I had something like that in my backyard!"

Sebastian smiled. "I'm sure the people who put it together would be delighted to hear that, after all this garden deserves the very best-"

"Um….what is that guy doing?"

Sebastian cocked an eyebrow in confusion until he looked down to see her glancing at a young boy sitting within one of the gardens, busily pulling out the freshly planted roses!

"Is he meant to do that?" the teenager questioned with anxiety in her voice. She heard an exasperated sigh from Sebastian as she watched him walk over to him and lightly tap the boy on the shoulder. He stopped demolishing the flowers and whipped his head around to see him.

"Oh hi Sebastian!" he exclaimed cheerily, standing up to show him the ruined garden. "Look! I pulled out the dead roses like you asked!"

Sebastian stared in dismay at the rose garden and sighed. "Finnian, there were only a certain amount of dead roses. You pulled out the live roses as well as the dead ones."

The boy's face suddenly fell. He went silent for a moment, and then suddenly a loud wail escaped his lips.

"Ahh! I'm so sorry! I-I didn't know!" he spluttered with mortified tears streaming down his cheeks. The teenager felt a wave of pity wash over her as she observed him desperately trying – and failing – to fix the garden. Using her hands to push the wheels, the teenager rolled towards the upset boy.

"Is he okay?" she asked Sebastian, and mostly herself. The boy stopped crying and wiped his tears when he noticed her.

"Oh?" he sniffled, "Hello, who's this?"

"Finnian, meet Honey Fairfax. She is one of my patients," Sebastian explained and switched glances with the teenage girl. "This is Finnian. He is one of our assistances in the hospital and possesses an unusual strength which is quite useful…" The doctor looked at the ruined garden. "…though it does have its mishaps."

"Oh yeah! I know you!" the girl exclaimed with a smile as soon as she recognised the bright orange hair the boy wore. He widened his eyes, slightly red from crying.

"Y-you do?"

"Yeah, you were the one who broke that table, right?"

Finnian's eyes widened even more that filled with tears and his lower lip started to wobble.

"I-I didn't mean to!" he sobbed and fell on his knees, crying louder than before. The teenager put a hand over her mouth in embarrassment, realising what she just said.

Ah crap. I wasn't meant to say that.

"There, there," the teenager tried to soothe as she reached her hand to pat his shoulder, although she couldn't successfully reach it. Sebastian knelt to Finnian's level and pulled out a handkerchief.

"We all make mistakes. Perhaps you should go back inside and help Bard while I order some new roses. You've done enough out here."

Finny sniffled and weakly saluted.

"Yes sir," he whimpered, slowly standing up and holding out his hand to the teenager. "It was nice meeting you - oh dear! What happened to your leg?"

The teenager girl glanced at her leg. "Oh yeah. Stuff happened."

And you only just noticed that?

Finnian frowned. "That's awful. I hope it heals soon."

She smiled with a shrug. "Thanks, and yeah, sorry 'bout the table and all."

"It's okay. Well, see you later!"

Finnian hurried off with a bright smile and a wave, skipping past the wandering people who some looked at him strangely as he merrily put flowers in his hair. The girl blinked twice in astonishment.

"Well that happened quickly."

"His mood brightens whenever he meets someone. He's quite a positive fellow, possibly too positive." Sebastian looked back at what was left of the rose garden with a sigh. "It's a shame this garden was demolished so soon. Oh well…"

He bent down to pick up one of the roses and glanced at the teenager who quickly turned away when he looked at her, not wanting him to know she had been staring at him the entire time. With a small smirk, the doctor swiftly tucked the rose behind her ear and she suddenly glimpsed at him with surprised eyes.

"Well we cannot let such beauty go to waste, after all."

Her cheeks faintly turned red and she couldn't stop a small smile curving her lips. She thought for certain this man was flawless and he was born with his charms.

"Shall we get going then?" Sebastian asked, "It's already becoming late, and I have a feeling Ciel is quite irritated at my lack of company."

The teenage girl laughed and nodded.

"Sure," she smiled, and with one last look at the rose garden, Sebastian backed her up and wheeled her past the hedges and flowers and towards the door to the hospital.

By the time to two reached the door of Room 68, the smile upon the teenager's face was in full bloom. Although she wished the tour could've ended later, that didn't stop her heart beating happily against her chest and the festivity partying in her head. She felt like she could talk to him confidently without feeling shy against his good looks or charismas, and she grew heavily interested in the theatre group as well.

"I'm afraid our tour ends here, Honey," Sebastian said as he put the wheelchair to a halt, and the teenager beamed friendly at him as he opened the door.

"Thank you, I enjoyed it," she smiled.

C'mon Honey! You can definitely say something better than that, you amateur!

She looked at his crimson eyes trying not to look reluctant but as she predicted, Sebastian's gaze made her feel shy all over again.

"Uh…until next time," she said with a nervous smile, "Dr Michaelis."

The doctor shook his head, smiling kindly.

"Please, Miss. There is no need to be formal in front of me, just Sebastian is fine."

The teenager found herself smiling even wider.

Is there anything not to like about this doctor?

"Alright…Sebastian."

"Heh, how cliché."

She turned towards Ciel who looked amusingly but gallingly at them. "Though I would expect as much." He pointed at Sebastian with a glimmer of annoyance in his eye. "And you. It took you a bloody long time to return; did you see a cat and get distracted or something?"

"I'm deeply sorry," Sebastian said, before pausing with a wide smirk. Ciel's firm glare thickened.

"What?"

"My, my. With that pout of yours it almost seems as if you missed me."

The boy rolled his eye and folded his arms, letting a 'tch' escape his lips. "Oh please. Hardly."

I detect a liar, the teenager thought with an amused smile.

Sebastian wheeled the teenager into the room and beside her bed where he politely asked if he could help her up, only making her respond with a nod and an unwanted blush. Kneeling down, the doctor carefully lifted her up and she found herself sitting in her bed in a matter of seconds with her plastered leg hooked up once again. Sebastian later asked if the two needed anything before he exited to care for a patient; Ciel didn't have to speak his answer for his stomach gave away a loud growl to confirm he was starving.

"I'll bring something for you to eat right away," the doctor addressed and he looked over at the teenager. "I should prepare food for you as well, Honey. I'm sure you must be hungry."

The teenager placed her hand over her stomach and sure enough felt it rumble against it. "Yeah, that sounds good."

"Luckily we have an efficient cook within this hospital, highly known for making delicious curry. I'm certain you two will enjoy it."

"You're a doctor, not a salesman," Ciel replied flatly. "Just bring the food before I die from starvation, understood?"

Sebastian put a hand to his breast pocket and melodramatically bowed with a mischievous smirk upon his lips.

"Right away, my lord."

The teenager stifled a giggle as the doctor walked out of the room and was unaware that Ciel was eyeing the rose accessorized in her hair.

"Let me guess. He gave you that?"

She nodded as she fiddled with the rose with a mused smile. "Yeah..."

"Don't get too carried away by that gesture of his, he's merely showing off."

The girl sighed happily as if she completely ignored him.

"You don't know that, Ciel."

Ciel raised an eyebrow. "Is that so? You obviously don't know him that well."

They both heard a loud tone that sounded from the mobile phone upon the desk next to the teenager. Surprised, she reached over to grab it.

"Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that your phone was ringing," Ciel added with an annoyed scowl afterwards, "Kindly put it on silent next time so I can sleep peacefully."

The teenager found on the notification on the screen that read '1 missed call' along with two messages from someone she almost forgot about, but dreaded to remember.

Hey Honey, it's Alois. Just checkin up on my grl, call me! 3

Please please please please call me, I miss you :( xxx

When she read the messages her face froze with shock, and then she felt the urge to throw her phone against a wall.

"Damn it all to hell…" she muttered angrily.

"What? Lose credit or something?"

The teenage girl laughed sarcastically. "Nice Ciel, but not all teenagers yap all day on the phone, y'know."

"Then what's the problem?"

She remained silent for a moment and re-read the messages with a scowl forming on her face. Ciel decided not to wait for an answer and cleared his throat. She jolted her head up.

"W-what?"

"Let me take a wild guess, those messages were from him, weren't they?"

Her face lit with surprise. "Him?"

"The blonde tart that intruded in the hospital last night who kept pulling my hair and called you his girlfriend. Were they from him?"

She lowered her head and sighed irritably. "Maybe," she murmured.

"Ever thought of reporting him to the police?"

She widened her eyes and shook her head. "I-I can't do that!"

Ciel lifted an eyebrow. "So you're just going to do nothing about it?"

"No, I'm ignoring him," the teenager answered as she turned off her phone and set it aside, "I won't respond until he eventually gets bored and leaves me alone." She paused with an unsure look. "But I know last time I tried that he turned out to be pretty persistent."

"And thus, proving my judgment, it would be far easier to send his arse to the police station."

Ciel narrowed his eye when the girl shook her head again.

"Look, third time's a charm, okay?"

The boy sighed.

"Good luck with that," Ciel responded with an apathetic tone, but the teenager could easily tell he was just as annoyed as she was. No, annoyed isn't the right word to describe it. Maddened would be better. Maddened to the point that the next time Alois shows up he will wring his neck with his own bandages until his face turns to a colour similar to an eggplant.

Night blanketed the sky outside the hospital and the two patients were on the verge of sleep. Ciel gave in before the teenager decided to close her eyes, but she was suddenly startled by the sound of something moving beneath her bed.

Her entire body froze as fear consumed her.

Shit…did that little brat decide to break into the hospital now?

Gulping nervously, she slowly lowered her head to peak at what was hiding under her bed and gasped with fright when she found a pair of golden eyes staring at her within the darkness.

An eerie laugh filled the room.

After that, the girl let out a scream.

Ciel woke up with a jolt and disoriently tried to find the source of her screaming, only to frown when he finally found it.

"Oh look. It's the Undertaker."
