Hello~! Been a while, hasn't it? Forgive me ; w ; Anyway, enough of my rambling! On to the story!
Shuto and Slendy's Fluffy Adventure
«Chapter 1»
With their deal made and shook upon, one question was going through the Slenderman's mind.
Where was this sheep going to stay at?
I mean, he could offer his place, but a lot of the creepy beings that lived within the forest came to visit him often. What would he say if they found Shuto camping here? 'Oh, I was only going to eat her later. Don't touch her, alright?' Even Slendy knew no one would fall for that.
But really, he was at a loss on who to rely on for keeping Shuto for a couple of days while they prepared to head for Itena. He couldn't put her in Smiley's hands. He might freeze her solid with his house. No way would he trust Eyeless Jack either. Poor thing might run away.
But who could he...
"Baa?" Shuto called out, pulling on Slendy's pants leg with her mouth.
Slendy looked down at the little sheep, lightly patting her head. 'I am fine, Shuto,' he assured in her mind. 'Just don't know who you could stay with until we are ready to depart.'
Shuto tilted her head to the side. "Baa?"
'I already told you why,' Slendy sighed, resting the palm of his hand against his forehead.
The blue sheep gave him a dull look. "Baa baa baa."
'No, you can't hide either. These are the beings of Lestnat we're speaking of,' Slendy rejected, facing towards the window. 'They're experts at hide and seek, I assure you.'
"Baa!" Shuto huffed, sitting down on her fluffy butt. "Baa baa baa!"
'I'm not quitting, I'm being rational,' Slendy admitted. 'Besides, pretty sure they saw you coming this way, didn't they?'
Shuto looked down and nodded just a bit.
'So you have to stay somewhere else. For your own safety.' Slendy looked at the sheep with a judging gaze. 'And I have to make something so I can understand you better...'
Shuto's stubby tail wagged a little bit.
"Baa?"
'You know, like a translator of some kind,' Slendy waved his hand about a bit. 'You know any spells that can help with that?'
Shuto gave him a blank look. "Baa baa?"
'Well, you can write. I don't see why you wouldn't have a spell or two up your... wool,' Slendy reasoned.
Shuto simply shook her head.
'It was worth a try.'
A knock sounded at the door, Shuto's ears perking up and Slendy turning in the direction of the sound.
'Who could that be at this hour?' Slendy grumbled to himself.
Shuto hid behind the couch, peeking from behind it to stare as Slendy opened the door.
On the other side of the door was no other than Jeff the Killer. A shiver went through Shuto's body as she stared at his cut mouth and frazzled hair. She knew she'd be having nightmares tonight.
"Hello, Slendy," Jeff smiled (even more so that he already was) at the tall man. "How are you this evening?"
Slendy simply gave him a thumbs up.
"Mind if I come in for a bit? I desire to speak to you about something," Jeff requested.
Slendy shook his head, stepping aside for the other creepy being to enter his home.
As Jeff walked through the door, Slendy couldn't help but be on high alert. Jeff didn't usually come around unless something was up with the forest... and that was rare in itself.
Jeff took a seat on the couch, not noticing how Shuto ducked her head out of view. Slendy sat across from him in his own personal chair and got comfortable.
"I know that I haven't been by in a while...," Jeff began. "But the forest is in an uproar. I can feel it... there's more happiness outside the forest and more distress within."
Shuto listened closely, ignoring the way Jeff's voice sounded so raspy and parched.
"They're talking about this happiness being. Wherever it goes, it brings the prey hope. And, as you know, we can't do anything unless the prey has no hope left," Jeff continued, scratching at his black sweatpants leg. "We could be in a serious situation, Slendy. Our food supply will get lower and lower unless we get rid of them."
Slendy nodded a bit, albeit a bit tense. He could hear Shuto's shivering from halfway across the room.
"So... I was wondering if you would help Jack and I find the spirit and... eradicate it... from the area."
Slendy rested his chin in his hand, lightly tapping the side of his face. Silence was normal for Jeff to hear from his conversations with Slendy, so the lack of noise was expected.
Slendy nodded his head, making a sighing motion with his body.
Jeff smiled brightly. "Splendid!" He sat up in a hurry and shook Slendy's hand happily. "We will start in a day or two and won't stop until we find it!"
Slendy shook his head a bit, pulling his hand away.
Jeff stopped and looked at him. "Huh? You can't start that soon...?"
This time, Slendy simply used his telepathy to talk to him. 'I have a trip to go on soon. We can search for the spirit when I come back or you can start without me.'
Jeff nodded his head slightly with understanding. "I see. If you don't mind me asking, what're you leaving for?"
Slendy looked over to the couch. 'C'mon out, Shuto.'
Shuto shook a bit, but timidly peeked her head from behind the couch.
Jeff raised an eyebrow, turning to look at the couch and meeting Shuto's terrified eyes with his own.
His eyes widened. "What is this?" He looked at Slendy. "Slendy... what is this thing?"
Shuto hid behind the couch again, placing a hoof over her rapidly beating heart.
What was going to happen? Would he kill her? Would he 'feed' off of her terror? Every thought made Shuto fight back tears of fear. She trembled.
'That thing is a sheep that can write. I'm returning her home in a few days back to Itena so she doesn't get hurt.' Slendy explained. 'But I won't be able to let her stay here with me. Too many beings come here on a daily basis... and some of them might see her as food.'
Shuto whimpered a bit.
Jeff crossed his arms over his chest. "Continue."
'I will help you find the happiness spirit if you take care of her until I'm ready to take her back home.' Slendy offered. 'It wouldn't be more than three, maybe four, days.'
Shuto gave Slendy a look of disbelief from behind the couch. "Baa!?"
Jeff sighed a bit, shoving his hands in his hoodie sleeve. "I dunno, Slendy. This is a strange request, and... an even stranger being to watch over." He snuck a look at the sheep. "And it seems it's terrified of me anyhow."
"B-baa...," Shuto trembled a bit more.
Slendy nodded slightly, using a tentacle and lightly patting Shuto's head.
Jeff sighed. "I'll just stay over here until you're ready to leave."
Slendy nodded with approval. 'Splendid- wait, what?'
Slendy rapidly shook his head. 'No, no, no. You can't stay here either,' he huffed. 'Everyone will get suspicious about that, too. Just... take her to your place.'
Shuto gulped. Three, maybe four, days without Slendy? "Baa?!"
"She'd have three back-to-back heart attacks at my place at the moment," Jeff commented. "I kinda... had some victims so to say."
'Then clean up and pick her up later,' Slendy ordered, heading for his kitchen. 'We have to make... some things, anyway.'
"Things?" The hoodie-wearing man couldn't help but attempt to make a confused face.
'Yes, yes, now please leave so we can keep going,' Slendy huffed, pushing Jeff out the front door and slamming it shut before the other could get a word out.
Shuto, happy that Jeff was at least out of the house, toddled over to Slendy and sat next to him.
They both leaned against the door and let out a sigh.
Keeping Shuto and the cupcakes a secret was going to be a daily struggle.
