Leah Clearwater plopped onto her couch after a long day's work, she took a sip from her beer and relished in the coolness of it. She looked over at her girlfriend who was currently reading a book, lovely legs tucked underneath herself.

"Long day Leah?," The blonde asked, not looking up from the pages.

In response, Leah grunted and started to unconsciously caress her girlfriend's legs, it was a habit forged by years of companionship and a lot of coaxing for physical intimacy on her behalf.

"God, don't even get me started babe," she replied, fighting the urge to crack her joints, knowing that her girlfriend didn't appreciate the sounds.

At the term babe, Rose quirked an eyebrow, if it had been anyone else, she would have punched them in the face, Rosalie Hale was not a babe, she was a woman and should thus be respected as such. However, her girlfriend knowing that the blonde hated such terms of endearment only called her that because she knew that Rosalie disliked it. Even after reprimanding her girlfriend about it endlessly, Leah only ever called her that to either actively get on her nerves or it just came out unwittingly when she was thinking. Leah Clearwater was probably the only person who could ever get away with it.

Rose finished reading the sentence that she was on and then glanced at her girlfriend who was currently frowning into her beer. The blonde didn't like how the wrinkles marred her partners beautiful face so, she dog ended her book, placed it on the coffee table and scooted a little closer.

"What happened at school today?" She asked Leah gently, knowing that most of her girlfriend's troubles usually lay within her job. The blonde began to massage the muscles where Leah's neck and shoulder met, the affects instantaneous as it relaxed under her touch.

Leah hummed gratefully, it was nice to unsort the kinks in your own body, but sometimes, it was nicer to have someone else do it for you and, she'd be damned if she let anyone else but Rosalie touch her. Every day after work, she was so happy to get home just so that she could have shared moments like these.

She sipped her beer again and sighed when a pressure was released after a firm pinch, "Nah, it wasn't the school; it's trouble in paradise with Bellice," she responded.

Rose nodded her head in understanding after all, she talked to her sister about everything, "Oh, so you heard that Bella is being unreasonable then?"

Leah frowned again, that wasn't what she had perceived, "Bella…what? Your sister is the one that's being unreasonable," she lamented.

The gentle prodding of her body stopped and Leah almost whined, she hated when this routine was cut short.

"My sister? And how do you suppose that honey?" Rose asked, a bit of bite to her tone.

Leah shuffled in her seat, she was a simple woman by nature and hated getting caught up in other people's business but, her developing friendship with her neighbour across the road warrant such recourse. It wasn't a bro's before hoe's mentality rather; she knew that without a doubt, her girlfriend would always be on her little sister's side, regardless of what that entailed. But, that's the thing about being in relationships, sometimes you have to humble the other person by being honest with them.

"I was just talking to Bella, apparently your sister is quite adamant about moving in with our neighbour," Leah stated.

Rose crossed her arms, "I don't see an issue with it, they've been together for months now, it's only logical that Alice move in with Bella," she replied a little flippantly. The blonde knew that her protective lioness tactic wasn't going to work on Leah. So, she decided to go with a different method to see what she believed to be reason.

She crawled over towards Leah and promptly straddled her, using the other woman's shoulders as leverage, "We would have the house all to ourselves," she husked.

Leah knew her girlfriend well enough to know what she was doing and where this was going, "Hey, woah, woah, you can't just pull your succubus tactics on me!" she exclaimed, though not making any real effort to get the blonde off her.

Rose groaned, again, her girlfriend was the only person who could say and do such things to her, it was a weakness really, being so transparent to someone but, she couldn't find it in herself to care. "Succubus, Leah, honestly, they almost spend every waking hour with each other and Alice has basically moved all her things there anyway."

"That's not the point Rose, you can't just U-Haul everything into your girlfriend's house when your girlfriend is still trying to get over her wife," Leah replied.

"Deceased wife," Rose retorted.

"Low blow, babe."

Rosalie agreed and instantly felt guilty, that had been an unfair call, she gracefully moved off of Leah to sit beside her, "You and I dated for six months before we moved in together; they've known each other for a year now." She sighed; she knew that she was being petulant but, since she had known Alice, she had always put her sister's desires and interests first. It was an automatic and immediate response she had had when Alice was adopted into the family. She would do anything for her little sister because she loved her dearly, Alice could do the most heinous thing on earth and Rose would still fight for her with her dying breath.

Leah chucked lowly, knowing that they were at an impasse, "We're a different story, you can't just apply a one size fits all approach onto every relationship."

"It's endearing that you have a close relationship with Bella but, you have to consider Alice's point of view, she's wanted someone for as long as I can remember," Rose returned.

Leah quirked an eyebrow, "Now I know you're being illogical."

"Illogical? Because I stand up for my sister?" Rose asked a little hotly.

The couple on the couch heard the front door open and saw Alice with Bella trailing behind. Alice looked over at them and instantly knew that something was amiss.

"What's going on?" she asked curiously.

Rose, never one to lie to her sister instantly spoke first, "We were just having a discussion about you moving in with Bella," she replied as nonchalantly as she could.

Bella closed the front door and, when she heard her name, she instantly perked up, "Who's moving what, where?" she asked confused.

Alice groaned in humiliation, "Are you serious?" Leah and Rose had the audacity to look sheepish at having been caught talking about the duo, but that feeling was quickly diminished as the blonde decided to just bite the bullet.

"Bella, Alice has been dropping hints left, right and centre, her room is as bare as a child's rear. Surely you noticed this?" Rose asked her neighbour.

In response, Bella just turned her attention to her short companion, "You've been dropping hints?" she questioned. She wasn't sure on whether she was feeling a little amused by her girlfriend's exasperation or a little ashamed that she hadn't noticed.

Alice blushed, "Y-Yeah, I mean, I basically live there already, I just need to move my sewing machine, a few clothes and some reports but, other than that, all my stuff will be there," she stammered.

"Oh," Bella responded, she coughed in order to gain a second's thought and then finally settled with being honest, "you know that I'm not fully over Ashley right?" She hadn't meant to just blurt it out in the open but, she knew that at some point in time, it would probably become an issue. She was getting better, integrating Alice into her life but living together with someone was a different level. There were still some remnants of her ex-wife that was present in her house, in her character and, she didn't think it healthy or fair for Alice to be subjected to that. It was a complicated issue that neither of them had really spoken about.

Alice smiled gently; she was quite good at understanding Bella by now, "You know that I don't expect you to ever be fully over her and, I don't mind if you shack me up in the guest room when you need your space," she took Bella's hands into her own, "I just want to be near you."

Rose and Leah were still watching from the couch and were currently fighting different urges, the blonde wanted to coo at her sisters affection, whereas her girlfriend wanted to chuckle at how ridiculously cheesy Alice could be.

"We're together pretty much every hour of every day, when you're not at work," Bella replied but, she frowned acknowledging what the shorter woman was saying, "This is a sentimental thing isn't it?" she surmised.

Alice grinned, "a little," she sighed, knowing that the conversation topic wasn't going to be resolved anytime soon, "You don't have to think about it now…if ever, but, it would be nice to just live with each other you know?" the insinuation was there, if they lived together then that would open up a lot for other paths and unspoken futures.

Bella scratched the back of her neck, hating how much attention was on her, "Huh, ok, err, well, do you want to move in?" she asked promptly.

Alice shook her head, "You can't ask that now, it feels like everyone pressured you," she stated giving a pointed look in Rose and Leah's direction.

"They haven't, I've been thinking about it for a while, I just didn't know if you wanted to or not," Bella tried to placate.

The shorter woman just smirked, "Liar, and, I'm not moving in."

"Why not?"

"I gave you my reason and so, I politely refuse."

"On a stupid principle," Bella commented.

"It's not stupid, it's reasonable," Alice snarked back.

"It is stupid; you're not going to move in because people are saying you should? Very mature."

Back on the couch Rose and Leah were looking at each other in confusion, at the turn of events, "Rose, what's going on?"

"I haven't the slightest clue, however, perhaps we shouldn't have meddled," Rose answered back.

"Should we give them some alone time?" Leah whispered.

Before the blonde could respond, she heard Alice direct a question at them, "Guys, what do you think?"

The two women on the couch looked at each other and, having established a mental link long ago decided on one thing. They both silently stood up and headed out the door, "We have to head out now, good luck with everything. Alice, don't wait up for us," Rose answered in a flurry.

Before they could hear any protests, Leah opened the door for her girlfriend; they're previous discussion long forgotten.

"After you," she said warmly and Rose blushed. They both walked out of the house knowing that the two women inside would be fine; after all, arguments were healthy for couples when they're productive.

Bella and Alice were staring at each other intently and, it wasn't until they heard the engine of Rose's car roar out of the driveway did Alice pounce onto the brunette.

Alice embraced Bella wholeheartedly, "Now that we're alone…" she whispered whilst trying to comfortably wrap her legs around the others waist.

Bella grinned, and held the shorter woman up by the thighs, "Good thinking 99."

"I can't believe that actually worked," Alice stated, quickly unbuttoning her shirt.

"Mmm, I can't believe that we instigated an argument between them in order to have sex in your house," Bella replied, she walked them over to the kitchen bench and sat the woman down so that she stood in between her legs.

Alice grabbed Bella by the front of her shirt and smirked, "I just wanted to try a different setting, you know how I like to be adventurous," she reasoned.

The excitement quickly welling within Bella prevented her from speaking any words, so, in response she just nodded her head, oh yeah she personally knew how adventurous her girlfriend was.

After their activities in various rooms of the house, several times, Alice and Bella ended up sprawled on Alice's bed. Bella looked around the room and noticed that it was less cluttered than when she had first stepped into her girlfriend's room all those months ago. Rose was right, the room was pretty sparse, Alice had indeed been slowly but surely moving things into her own home. Whether it was a conscious thing or a manner of convenience she wasn't sure.

Bella noticed the matted hair on her girlfriend and was endeared by the sight.

"So…" she began.

Alice smiled lazily, "So?" she parroted, knowing that the brunette could continue her sentence and without prompt now too.

Bella began to draw random patterns on her partners naked hip, "Well, I mean, I know it was all for show and all but, do you want to move in?"

"Into your house?" Alice inquired.

"No, into the alley next to my house," Bella quipped and then she mentally chastised herself for her lack of tact, "Yeah, into my house. Well, I mean, it'd be our house but, as you said, you basically live there anyway."

The shorter woman's brow furrowed, if she were to be honest, she wouldn't mind moving in with Bella but, because they had never really spoken about it, it wasn't a priority. Bella was still the across the road neighbour who happened to also be the woman that she was in love with. On the one hand, moving in with Bella seemed like the next logical step and, she knew that she would always have a home with Rose and Leah across the road. Yet, on the other hand, it was a huge step that she wasn't sure either of them were ready for. Her hesitation lay within her fear that after spending so much time together and living with each other, Bella would get annoyed or bored of her. She knew she was being a little silly but, it was comforting to know that if anything went haywire she could hide at home. The house she shared with Rose and Leah was like a security blanket in that respect.

"Is this what you want?" she asked Bella.

The brunette smiled, "Yeah, I think I do," she replied honestly, there was still so much to talk about, so much to say and plan, but this was a little first step.

Alice returned the gesture and pecked Bella lightly on the lips, "How about we have this discussion when we're both not naked?"

The brunette mock pouted, "But then I can't seduce you into moving in and cleaning my clothes and making me food and coffee."

"You just want a house maid."

Bella laughed, "I know that you have the outfit for it."

Alice blushed because they both knew it to be true, "Moving back on topic, we'll talk about me moving later, this is a serious consideration to make and frankly, I'm not up for that kind of talk at the moment."

Bella shrugged, "Fair enough, I'm pretty easy."

"I know you are."

"Says the woman whose hip my hands are on."

Alice scowled, "I think I liked you better when you were more reserved and scared to talk honestly with me."

Bella chuckled, no matter whatever state they were in, both of them were always up for a good banter, "Regretting your decisions dear?"

Alice ceased her scowl and smiled, "Never."

She leaned in to kiss Bella and they both knew that they were in it for the long haul.

"Wanna see what's it's like to have sex on a motorcycle?" Alice asked impishly.

Bella groaned, "Jesus, the things you say to me."

Alice giggled, "I'm kidding, Rose would kill us," she gave a salacious wink, "we're just going to have to put her tool bench to work."

In return, Bella just grinned, "refer to the above comment."

I was supposed to write a chapter where Bella and Alice had an argument and then, this happened…

Thank you for reading and I hope you enjoyed it.
