A week later

Zero entered the moon dorms. It was night time and the night-class students were studying. He decided that it would be the best time to begin his 'investigation'. He turned behind and signaled to his friends that the coast was clear and that they could follow.

"So where do we start?",Kaito whispered excitedly.

"How about that room",Ichiru suggested.

"Alright let's go",Zero said. Fortunately or unfortunately that room belonged to Kaname and Kaname was not attending his classes today.

Kaname was in his study which was adjacent to his bedroom. He was reading a book when suddenly he heard the door of his bedroom open and some footsteps followed.

"Thieves?", he whispered to himself and went back to reading his book. The intruders moved here and there and knocked this and that. Kaname tried to count how many there were. He could make out two.

Half an hour passed and the 'thieves' still hadn't left.

"Maybe they are searching for something specific or are they planning to make me beg on the streets?",Kaname thought to himself. "Maybe I should go get a look."

Kaname silently opened the door that led to his bedroom and there he saw two silverettes and one sandy haired person. The sandy haired and one of the silverette were making quiet a lot of noise for a vampire but a human could in no way detect the noise. But the third thief was quite and methodological in his ways. He picked one thing, observed it and put it in the same place he picked from. None of the three had seen or felt Kaname's presence in the room. Then suddenly Kaname got a full view of the third thief. It was Zero.

"What is he trying to do he trying to do now?", Kaname thought. Zero had done a lot of mischief since the first day. Once he had even stopped Kaname during the change over and examined him with his magnifying glass like he was a frog in the bio lab. Kaname thought it was a prank and simply went his way.

"I think he has some mental illness ",Kaname thought."but I thought the other two were sane enough."

Kaname was so lost in his thoughts that he didn't notice the three staring at him like they had seen a ghost. Ichiru and Kaito managed to run away but Kaname closed the door before Zero could get out.

"Now you will tell me what you were up to?",Kaname said sternly.

"Let me go! Please. Yagari-sensei will kill me if he knows about this. I'm sorry I'll never do it again. Please let me go." Zero looked as if he would cry.

"I'll not tell anyone if you tell me what you were up to. I promise.",Kaname assured.

"Well, we were investigating"

"Huh?"

"Yuki told us to stay away from you people and you were also talking crazy things about being the vampire prince and I thought that something was wrong."

Kaname burst out laughing. "So that was why you were up to all the mischief.",he said smiling and continued trying to sound as casual as possible"Everything that happened that night was an act. You see I was dared by my friends to do all that and you should stay away from us."

"Why?"

"Because all the people in the night class are sons or daughters of filthy rich people and they wouldn't want you to 'investigate' their room when they are not around."

"Oh I'm sorry for all the trouble I caused you. Can I go now?",said Zero getting impatient.

"Yes"

Kaname burst out laughing once Zero was out of the room.

" My God that kid imagines a lot",he said to himself. He suddenly noticed a slim white rectangular thing lying on the floor. He picked it up. It was Zero's phone.

"I think I'm gonna do a little investigation about you Zero",Kaname said giggling to himself and went on to check Zero's pictures.

"Seriously is that all he takes pictures of?" Kaname scrolled downwards and all he could see were pictures of the sunset, the sky, hills and a horse.

"Let's see what kind of music you listen to." Kaname plugged in his earphones and the sound of rock music filled his ears. "What a contrast. Rock music and nature lover"

Suddenly Kaname had an evil idea. He searched Zero's contacts and sent a message to a random number. It read: I love you. I cannot live without you though I may not show it but I think of you every night. You are the love of my life.

Kaname didn't know why but he enjoyed messing with Zero.

The next day

Zero was talking to his friends when suddenly Yuki approached him.

"Can we talk alone Zero?" Zero's heart started racing." Maybe Kaname told her about yeseterday.",he thought

"Yeah sure",he said hoping she didn't know.

"I don't really love you but maybe we could go out. I would get to know you better that way.",she said. Zero was surprised.

"What are you talking about?"

"What do you mean? Didn't you send me that message yesterday?"

Zero could remember not finding his phone this morning. He tried calling his number but still couldn't find it. He let it pass as he thought Ichiru had hidden it somewhere because Zero had done the same to Ichiru's phone some days ago but he didn't think Ichiru would play an even bigger prank.

"It wasn't me. I lost my phone.",Zero said and ran out of the class.

Yuki stood there stunned and the rest only stared.
