For Kagura the week went painfully slow; she wanted to talk about what had happened last Saturday night but she was afraid of what her friends would think of her. She had said yes to Sougo's invitation, which is most likely a ploy to get her off guard, even if she was half-asleep and hungry it was inexcusable. Yet, there was a question that swam in her practically empty head; why would he risk her brother's wrath to mess with her?

Not being able to ask the question on her own she decided to discuss it with Sougo, the man himself. He had told her that he did not want to talk about it, insulted her, and the 'talk' she had planned on turned into a three on three brawl.

She should have known better, the guy never wanted to talk about anything. Kamui had once told her that Sougo was injured and when he and Shinsuke asked him about it he would not answer them. They had to threaten him with breaking his 'toys' before he opened his mouth .

Kagura can only assume that he is too embarrassed to speak about it as he was then. After all, like she was, he was half-asleep and probably did not know what he was asking, but now he does not want to admit it.

Finally the dreaded Saturday has arrived and awoken Kagura with a phone call. She sat up with a yawn before turning blurry eyed toward her alarm clock. The numbers on the clock looked like a mass of red squiggly lines; she grumbled, rubbed her eyes, and tried again. It was 12, four hours passed the time Shinpachi usually woke her up. She would have to thank him.

"Ah, Kagura-chan, you're finally awake. You seemed a bit tired all week so I figured you needed a bit more rest." Shinpachi beamed at her from the kitchen.

She smiled back at him and gave a casual 'thanks'.

"Kagura, Mitsuba's brother is on the phone!" called Ginpachi. "He wants to talk to you!"

The young girl sighed before sluggishly moving toward the house phone. The older man gave her the phone without a suspicious thought on his mind. "What's up Sadist?" She asked not really caring.

"Maybe I should tattoo my name on my forehead." He breathed out in exhaustion. "Come to my house."

She pulled a face. "No, come here." She ordered, there was no way she was going to walk all the way over there.

With a sigh and a shuffle he replied. "And what do you think Danna and four eyes would do if I did?"

She tapped her finger on her chin, close to mike, pretending to think. "Tattoo their own names on their forehead." She teased.

He breathed out in annoyance. "They would interrogate me. China, do you understand?"

"I think red would look like a good color on my forehead."

"Enough of the tattooing of names."With a last sigh of aggravation he calmed himself down. "Just come over here already."

"If you tell me …" She changed her voice into a whisper. "Why you asked me what you asked."

There was silence on the other side, only the sound of the teens comforting breathing could be heard.

"So?!" She asked impatiently.

"I'm not too sure myself, not really."

"Aniki says you're always like that. Saying you don't know or you don't want to talk about it, but there is always a reason to the things you do."

"That damn blabber mouth." He whispered to himself. "I guess that's just the way I am."

"Takasugi also told me that you just pretend to say you don't want to talk about it because you want to act cool." She told him laughing.

He tsked, promising himself that he was going to give him a punishment. Telling all the guys he liked that he dreams about them would do some good.

The laugh that came from the other side of the phone brought Sougo back to the present. "What?"

"Aniki also told me that Takasugi talks in his sleep sometimes." She giggled one more time before she went silent. "I guess I'll go, only because I'm bored you got that."

"Yeah yeah, I got it." If she knows about that, Sougo figured it was enough punishment for his friend.

She hung up the phone and went to go change. It was not like she wanted to go on a date with Sougo she just did not have anything better to do. Today was Otsuu's concert so Shinpachi would be gone soon and Ginpachi is probably going to hang out with Tsukuyo again. Going somewhere with the Sadist might prove to be somewhat fun; after all he was paying for everything.

"Kagura-chan, where are you going?" The glasses wearing boy asked before she could open the door.

"To my death." She explained simply.

"To your death?!" The boy fell out of his seat. "What did Okita-san do!?"

"Should I call Nii-chan?" Ginpachi asked referring to Kagura's brother.

"It's none of your business!" She yelled running out the door.

Once Kagura arrived she reached for the door bell but held her finger a couple centimeters from the button. Was she really going to go through with this, a date with her rival? She was an idiot, if her friends found out she was going to get a lecture filled with smiles, donuts, and words filled with strange meanings. Not to mention, if Otae found out, she would start planning for their nonexistent future wedding.

"Are you going to press it or are you planning on staring at it for a few more hours?" Sougo mocked, face without emotion, from the window by the door.

"Shut up! I'm thinking!" She shouted.

"Hurry up and stop pretending you actually have a brain."

That earned him a bugger flung in his direction. He watched deadpanned as it floated to the ground. "You're disgusting." He commented scratching the back of his head.

"Is there even a point to ringing it if you already know I'm here?" She mumbled.

"Ah, so you finally realized." He smirked, jumping out of the window.

"You couldn't just leave normally?!" Bellowed out Toshiro from somewhere inside the house.

"Die, Hijikata."

"That's not an answer, Sougo."

"So you wanna go see that new movie?" Sougo turned his attention to the girl in front of him.

"Yeah! I heard it was supposed to be awesome! Lots of blood and explosions!" She squealed.

The movie was great, they were told to shut up a couple of times when they shouted out things like 'Yeah, kick their ass' and 'You're supposed to assassinate her, not kiss her' but they still enjoyed it. While other girls clung to their friends and boyfriends Kagura was ecstatic and could not look away when heads rolled and blood squirted. Sougo could not help feeling relieved, the last girl he took to the movies practically did not let go of him; clingy girls are so annoying.

"There was a bit too much romance, it would have been better if they didn't have mouth sex every five minutes." She grumbled.

"Those types of movies are usually like that. If they think there's too much violence they have to fit in some disgustingly sappy shit, or something like that." He explained.

"It was a bit over the top though; I think he should have just killed her."

"I agree."

They walked outside, still discussing the movie and who do they spot, an over protective brother and his only other friend. The vermilion haired boy gave the sandy haired boy a smile that hid his anger while the black haired boy looked on in anticipation. Sougo held a face of indifference but inside he was afraid, more than he had ever felt before.

"Kagura, what are you doing here standing next to a rotting corpse? We're going to go eat you want to join?" Kamui smiled. Shinsuke gave an amused snort and a 'you're so dead' look to Sougo.

"Well, you're f**king screwed." Kagura informed the poor sap before skipping toward her brother.

"Shit." Was all Sougo could manage to let slip out.

"Don't you think that was a bit too much, Kamui? It's not like this tomboy here was forced." Shinsuke explained looking into his friend's face trying to find a hint of the boy's true feelings behind the smile. He couldn't.

"I don't care, that maggot doesn't deserve to spend one on one time with my beloved sister." He whined childishly.

"I don't really care about ruining your friendship or anything," she lied. Before Sougo and Shinsuke, Kamui was alone, he never really understood what friendship was, and so, she was really happy when she heard them calling each other by first name. She really didn't want to be the cause of them breaking up. "But Sadist said he didn't know why he asked me on a date."

"Hmm." Kamui appeared to think. Shinsuke stared at his face again, this time taking note of the slight furrow of his eyebrows. They went up again and the smiling boy shook his head. "It doesn't matter. The fact still remains, Imouto-chan."

"Don't come crawling to me for comfort when you feel lonely, Aniki." Kagura sneered.

"That's right you should come to me." Shinsuke earned a hit to the gut.

"Shut up or I'll kill ya."

The three of them were close, they had been through a lot to become the friends they were now, so she figured that something like this would not pull them apart, or at least she hoped. Maybe all it took was another nude jump into the ocean in the winter, again, and that would bring them back together. She did not even know why they tried that in the first place, but it did help them to become the friends they are now, so it might be the key point. She really did not understand the male species.
