And on with more of our favorite Robin.
The lights flickered. Kon wondered vaguely what was wrong with the electricity before he realized that it wasn't the lights flickering, but his eyes fluttering. It was strange to feel totally disconnected with the actions of your own body. Slowly Superboy became aware of someone frantically whispering his name—no, they were yelling his name. He started to slip off into total obliviousness again when the person asked about Tim. Kon remembered about the Joker and was suddenly wide-awake. He shot up, only to groan with the suddenness of his movement and the brightness of the lights.
"Kon?" Starfire laid a gentle hand on his shoulder. "How are you feeling?"
"Awful, the Joker got the drop on me." Worry edged into his voice, as Kon asked, "How's Robin? Is he alright?"
Kon saw Cyborg shake his head, as Superboy's vision slowly returned to normal, "We don't know. He's missing. More than likely the Joker took him with him, but we don't know for sure."
"Cyborg?" Kon's voice was hoarse and tense with fear for his friend, "What'll he do to Tim?"
Cyborg had no answer for the young hero and he suddenly found himself glad that electronics didn't cry and that his human half was facing away from the others. "Batman and Nightwing are on their way over," he stated instead.
Nodding vaguely, Kon leaned heavily against the wall. He was still reeling from the effects of the Joker's gas, and suddenly the whole situation seemed frighteningly hilarious. Superboy turned paniced eyes towards Cyborg as he heard himself begin to laugh. Cyborg and Starfire's reassurances wavered in and out with Kon only catching snatches of their words, while the laughing seemed constant.
A dark shadow appeared beside him and Kon caught the words from somewhere to his other side, "…been like that for an hour…" Something pricked his arm and the tensed laughing relaxed into nothingness.
