"You should just give up; we all know how painful it will be when I destroy the both of you." Shinsuke told them, his lips upturned in a mischievous smirk, and his hair pinned up exposing the eye patch that hid his empty eye socket.

"You truly make me laugh, Shinsuke. I will be the one to come out victorious." Kamui said matter-of –factly. For a rare time his eyes were opened to concentrate seriously on the subject at hand but he still held his usual smirk.

"Hmm, I think you're both wrong, because…Head shot!" Sougo laughed maniacally as the two other boys groaned loudly at the game screen on the television in front that read out 'Time up'. They then proceeded to drop their controllers when the score screen popped up to say that Sougo had the most kills. "Do the losers need some band aids for those burns?"

"So immature, do you really think you're life will ever attain to anything by being a geek that's really good at games?" Shinsuke asked him; shaking his head and giving a smile of pity.

"What?" The sandy-haired teen jumped up with Shinsuke following after. "Those are some big words for someone who was depressed the ten out of ten times he lost."

Kamui's comment and Shinsuke's retaliation were both interrupted with a knock at the door. A sandy-haired beauty walked in with a smile. Mitsuba had been released from the hospital a couple days ago, although it was not much different being home, Toshiro hardly let the woman leave the house afraid that she would have another attack.

"Would you boys like something to eat?" She questioned. Unnaturally, the woman was far too happy that the teens were suspended; she enjoyed watching their friendship grow stronger.

"Yes, please, Aneue. Thank you so much." Sougo said to her with all of his manners that were held dormant until needed to be used toward his sister.

"Could you go easy on the spices, please?" Kamui asked politely not wanting to waste the day with a fight with Sougo because he was not being nice with his sister.

"Of course whatever you like! Something sweet? I'll make a cake." With that she left the room, excited to get to work.

"I want to watch a horror movie one with really hot guys." Shinsuke put out bluntly, it was his way of suggesting something to do.

"You can go pick out a movie in the living room. I'm not sure what to consider a hot guy so I'll leave that to your decision."

The one-eyed teen nodded his head and walked himself out of the room to go find a movie that they would all enjoy.

Waiting, the two other boys jumped up on the bed to get comfortable; they sat in way that would leave enough space so their other friend could join them.

"You know if you want, because it's you, I don't mind if you do start dating my lovely sister." Kamui let out suddenly. A cold shiver ran up Sougo's back at the release of the words.

It was only a few words but it meant so much more than what was said. 'I admit that I was afraid that you would either leave me or hurt her, but now I know that no matter what we will always be friends that can trust each other.' Although Sougo did not know how to respond to the blessing for Kagura because he was convinced he did not have the feelings that Kamui believed he had but for the trust that his friend gave him he said "Thanks".

For the most part the rest of the wait was utterly silent; Shinsuke came in happily waving the movie that he had in his hand. He lowered his hand with an expression of confusion when he noticed his friends refused to look at each other.

"What did I miss? Did the kiss awaken some unwanted feelings?" He teased happy with the quick response of retaliation that he was given.

After a good laugh at the stupidity of the horror movie, some cake that had a hint of spice, and lots of other fatting foods, the two other boys left. Sougo sat in the middle of his room simply contemplating the words spoken by his red-haired friend. Truthfully if asked how he felt about the boy's twin sister he would say he hated her but it was not actually hate he felt toward her. He thought it for a bit more, he decided that with the brother out of the way it would not be bad to take dating the girl into consideration. She was considered to be beautiful by many men besides her brother and father.

While he still sat in thought his cell phone rang and vibrated on his desk. Tiredly he stood up and staggered to it, the caller ID read 'Unknown number' but he answered it anyways out of curiosity.

"Hello, who is this?"

"It's Imai Nobume."

"Of course it is. What is it you want?"

"I'm outside your house."

"Of course you are."

"Can you come outside; I need to talk to you."

"Yeah, I'll be down in a second." He hung up with a sigh. Slowly he slipped on his shoes; he had absolutely no desire to see her. Even if he was curious about what she wanted, he was not sure if it was worth it.

"Why're you here?" Sougo asked once he closed the door to his home. His face showed indifference but his tone expressed his irritation for being dragged out of his comfort zone.

"I know you like Kagura…" She began before getting interrupted.

"Let's clear that up before we continue any further; I do not like China." He snorted seemingly nauseous at the thought.

"Then why did you go out on a date with her?" She allowed her expression and voice show her irritation at his words of denial.

"That's none of your business." It was far too troublesome to think of the reason, instead he decided on that.

"It is my business because I like you."

Sougo stared at her dumbfounded for a while before he broke out in sadistic laughter. "Is that what you came here for, to confess to me? How stupid, did you seriously think I would return your feelings? I'm seriously surprised over this, I feel more disgusted now than when Shinsuke forced mine and Kamui's lips together." He mocked, he knew what he was saying was awful but he panicked and the words came out before he could stop them. Yes, he was a sadist but he usually never played with a girl's feelings, usually he would accept them and guide them to masochism before they leave him on their own accord. In front of him was not a normal girl, it was Imai Nobume.

Tears stung at the girl's eyes and she tried to hold them in but they slipped down her cheeks. She turned around not wanting to be seen weak. "I understand." She told him before running off.

He dropped down into a crouch with his head in his hands. "Shit, I screwed up big time." He said to himself loud enough for a certain Toshiro to hear him.

"You sure did, what would you like your head stone say; 'In loving memory of a man that was killed by two teenage girls.'?" He said sticking his head out the window.

"I'm going to take you to hell with me Hijikata."

Forget her brother's blessings and thoughts of possibilities. There is no way that he would ever get a chance to be with her now. He improperly rejected her friend purely with insults. Toshiro was right; he was going to be killed.
