"Clover." Alex sighed as she stared at her now yeti-fied friend.
Clover pressed her hands against the glass of the Center containment cage, a frown on her face.
"Don't worry Clover, I'll save you." Martin assured.
Alex nodded, "Once we get home W.H.O.O.P. and the Center will work on recalculating the range's formula to extract the yeti DNA." She growled, slapping a hand over her face, "From all of us."
The three spies and Ruby watched as the containment cage was flown away, heading for the Center.
Martin turned to Sam and Alex, "This was actually kinda fun, you W.H.O.O.P. spies aren't so bad after all."
"The same goes for you." Sam smiled.
"Hey, if your up for it, we could all work together again sometime, maybe with the rest of your team?" Alex offered.
Ruby wagged her tail happily, "That would be awesome!"
Suddenly there was a loud growl that echoed through the trees, the sound not coming from either the spies or Martin. Alex and Sam jumped, taking defensive stances in case it was trouble.
Alex gulped, "W-What was that?!"
"Did we miss a yeti?!" Sam demanded.
"Whoa girls easy! That wasn't a yeti." Martin groaned.
Sam blinked in confusion, "Well if it wasn't a yeti then what was it."
Ruby chuckled nervously, ears flattening against her head, "Um, that … that would be my stomach. He, he, my bad, missions always make me hungry."
"Everything makes you hungry!" Martin sighed in frustration.
"Hey, how about we take you guys out to Mali-U after we get the yeti DNA removed? To celebrate." Alex giggled as W.H.O.O.P. helicopters began to approach.
Ruby panted happily, giving Alex a slobbery lick on the cheek, "You got yourself a deal, Chief!"
Alex blinked, "Chief?"
"Well yeah, I like you, and you're like the Boss, but the Boss is the Boss, so you're the Chief." Ruby explained.
Alex turned to Martin in confusion.
"It means she likes you." He clarified, climbing into a helicopter.
The others climbed in after him, and soon all four agents were heading back to the Center.
Spies' Penthouse- 10:21 am.
Clover examined her image in the mirror, "Are you sure it worked?" She asked for the hundredth time, "You know Jer doesn't exactly focus when M.O.M.'s around, what if they got the formula wrong?"
Sam smiled, "You look great Clover, honest, not a yeti hair in sight."
Clover smiled in relief before her smile turned into a smirk. Quick as a flash she sat herself in Martin's lap as he and Alex were looking through her game collection.
"So, Martin, what do you say we grab a double mocha frappa whipachino at Mali-U?" She began to ask, but was cut short by Martin.
"Yeah, that sounds great and all but I kinda have other plans." Martin replied, moving Clover off of his lap.
Martin's eyes sparkled with excitement, "Whoa! An advanced copy of Extra Terrestrial Lizard Wars! It's not even scheduled to be out until next summer!"
Alex nodded with a smile, "I know! Next week, I'm getting the Slothro Chronicles volume 94!"
The two teens made eye contact and began to blush. Alex covered her mouth as she giggled while Martin nervously scratched the back of his head.
Suddenly Martin's U-watch began to go off, "Oh boy, the Center! Sorry Alex, I gotta run."
He stood and walked over to a small dresser and opened one of the side doors, waving to Alex as he stepped into a blue portal and shut the door.
"Martin!" Alex called after him.
"Trust me, it's for the best Alex." Clover huffed, "Now you don't have to date a geek and be second fiddle to his comic book collection."
Sam walked over to where Martin had disappeared, "All I know is we have to talk to Jerry about the way we're summoned to W.H.O.O.P., this seems so much more pleasant!"
Suddenly Ruby's voice sighed from behind the three spies, "Ok two things. First, they're graphic novels, not comic books, and second, those portals aren't as fun as you'd think. They do a number on your hair and they're a real pain to navigate when the go on the fritz."
The three girls turned to find Ruby sitting on one of their beanbag chairs, munching on a bag of super spicy chips.
"Ruby, why didn't you go with Martin? Don't you have a mission?" Sam asked.
"Yeah, this happens sometimes, they'll send another portal in a minute." Ruby chuckled, "But hey, in the meantime I'd like to give you this."
She tossed a slip of paper at the spies, Sam easily catching it and opening it.
Clover raised an eyebrow, "What's this?"
Ruby gave her a toothy grin, "Our numbers! Hit us up sometime, ok? Oh, and at the bottom is mine and the Boss' gamer IDs, look us up sometime Alex."
"Oh cool! Thanks Ruby!" Alex grinned.
Before anyone could say anything else a blue portal opened in Clover's mirror, and a girl that looked almost exactly like Ruby stepped through it.
"Come on Ruby, M.O.M. wants all hands on deck for this one." The girl huffed, crossing her arms.
Ruby rolled her eyes, "Yeah yeah, I'm coming sis." She stood and turned to the spies, "See ya girls! Give us a call if you ever want to team up again!"
With that she jumped through the portal and into the Center, followed by Sapphire.
Sapphire raised an eyebrow as the portal closed, "Who was that?"
"Oh, just some new friends." Was Ruby's only reply as the twins joined the rest of the group.
And finished! Whoo, so sorry for the major time gap in updates, but I'm a busy person. Anyway that's it for Yeti Mountain, please read and review!
