Double posting! I heard that it is proper writer etiquette to post the epilogue if you have one within twenty-four hours of posting the second to last chapter. So that is what I am doing.

As for the question on the relationship, this is an Ash & OC story. The reason why in the past few chapters it seems more Paul & OC is because… You shall find out in the sequel! Those last few chapters are important (along with Jacob saying "And I'm not losing her to some wannabe master after I finally got her to break up with that purple haired nuisance back in chapter eight).

Anywho, on with the epilogue!

Epilogue: Lily

I paced the waiting room nervously, biting my fingernails. I've been waiting here for over three hours now, and I can't sit still. I'm scared I might've….

"Pika!" Pikachu and Pikachuett climbed onto my shoulders and rubbed their cheeks on mine. I gave a small smile and stopped pacing for a moment.

"I'm just scared. That's all. They both mean a lot to me. I can't lose them: I don't know what I would do if I did."

"Lily?" I looked over at Nurse Joy.

"That's me. How are they? Are they going to be ok?" I asked frantically.

"Both are fine. The Pokémon attacks didn't cause any permanent damage to either of the boys." I sighed in relief.

"Can I see them?"

"Paul is still resting, but Ash is well enough to see you." I nodded and walked down the hall to Ash's room.

"Pika!" Pikachu jumped from my shoulder to sit Ash's lap.

"Hey, buddy." The trainer smiled at his partner.

"Ash, I am so, so sorry. I hurt you, and…" I blinked back tears. "And it could've been worse."

"Lily, it wasn't your fault. A mad scientist shot darkness into you and made you evil against your will." I sniffled and wiped under my eyes. "Come here."

I walked over to the bed and sat down next to him on it. Pikachuett sat beside Pikachu as Ash pulled me into his arms. I laid my head on his shoulder.

"I have dealt with many bad guys throughout my experience as a trainer. For example, Team Rocket is a reoccurring threat. But trust me." He tilted my chin up to look him in the eye. "You aren't one of them."

"If you say so." We sat there looking into each other's eyes intently, and after a moment, I found myself kissing him gently. I cupped his cheek in my hand as he deepened the kiss.

"Well, it's about time you actually showed affection towards a girl further than just friendly," I heard Paul say in the doorway. I pulled away a tiny bit, just enough to talk to the mauve haired boy.

"Shouldn't you be down the hall resting? Not in here?"

"I suppose I should."

"Then go." He chuckled and walked out of the room. I recovered Ash's lips with my own, once again getting lost in his kiss.

"Hey, Ash! We got you a…! Gift? Lily?" I sighed and pulled away from the raven again. This time, I got off of the bed.

"Nice going, Iris. Way to ruin the moment," I mumbled as I sat in the chair by the bed. Iris, Cilan, and two other teens stood there awkwardly. "So, who are the other two?"

"That's Dawn and Brock. They're my friends from the Sinnoh region," Ash answered. Pikachuett climbed into my lap.

"Hi, I'm Lily. I take it you were the ones that restrained me before."

"That was all four of us," Dawn answered.

"Thank you. I don't want to begin to imagine what I would've done to Ash and Paul if you hadn't."

"Is it safe for me to come in yet?" said trainer teased, poking his head through the door.

"Sure, why not? The mood is long since killed by now." My purple haired ex walked in. he was smirking. "What you all smirky about?"

"You were like that a lot with me too. Sweet and lovey when calm. Grumpy and snappy when mad. And you always got angered whenever someone interrupted us."

"They say a person is defined by how they interact with individuals," Brock pointed out.

"Then Lily has been perfectly defined," Ash put in. We all laughed, and he grabbed my hand. "I love you." I gave him a smile.

"I love you too."
