Author's note: Thought this would be hilarious. Enjoy! None of the characters or anything are mine.
Data woke up from his dream program and got ready for work. He was surprised when he looked in the mirror and saw "April Fools" written on his face in marker. He washed his face real good curious about what April Fools meant. He immediately went to ask Geordi him about it.
"Geordi, what does April Fools mean?" Data asked.
"Well Data it's human tradition to pull pranks on the first day of April. You prank someone and then say the words 'April Fools'." Geordi replied.
"Why is it that people prank one another?"
"They do it for fun. Plus some people find it funny."
"I see."
After talking to Geordi, Data read up on pranks hoping to pull a few pranks himself.
He first put a tripwire in the doorway to Worf's room. He comes and trips on it looking as if he would murder someone.
Data yelled out, "April Fools"
Worf glared at him and Data frowns a bit thinking it would have been funny. He decides to try again and gets some pink dye and waits. When Riker is asleep he puts in the pink dye turning Riker's hair to pink.
Data then woke Riker up yelling, "April Fools!"
Riker looks around for a moment before asking, "Data, what'd you do?"
"Look in the mirror, sir."
Riker busts up laughing when he sees his hair is pink.
"Was it funny, sir?"
"Yes, Data."
After that, Data played more pranks such as throwing a pie in Troi's face, putting a woopie cushion on all of the biobeds, cutting holes in Dr. Crusher's labcoat, purposely spilling water on Geordi, mimicking Captain Picard and many other things. Yet, most of the jokes no one found funny. He kept trying and put glue in the Captain's chair. As soon as Picard sits down and looks at Riker with suspicion and anger.
"April Fools, sir." Data said.
"Data, no more pranks."
"Okay sir."
