Hey guys! I'm really so friggin sorry that this is ridiculously late. I had a really close family member pass and I couldn't write for shit. But! I'm good now, and I'm really trying to write as often as possible. Believe me. My co-writer wants me dead more than any of you for not posting often enough. Love you guys! Keep Shipping! :D
Art and Amy arrived at a small tavern called the Snuggly Duckling. It was filled with ruffians and thugs and thieves and just about every bad character you could think of...all singing. About dreams. It was so unreal Amy nearly fainted. Eugene danced, Rapunzel sang, and just about everyone was merrier than the North Pole on Christmas Day. That is, until a troop of guards came in, all looking for Flynn Rider. In their possession were the Stabbington brothers, Amy and Art realized it was them when they talked about getting the crown after their escape from their cuffs. Rapunzel and Eugene, uh Flynn, had escaped through a tunnel, where the girls stayed out of, more worried about the guards at the moment and the strange horse.
The duo raced around the tavern, looking for any possible escape for the princess and the thief may have taken. That's when they noticed the dam in the distance cracking loudly and breaking open, water flooding the valley. They flew fast towards the valley, gasping as they saw Rapunzel and Eugene, dammit Flynn, getting stuck in a cave. Art dove under, Amy having to stay above due to her wings. She pried at the large stone block, trying really hard to pull at the rock. She had to come back to the surface for air before she could even make it budge. Amy was flying around, trying to find a place that they could escape. "Over here!" She shouted, catching Art's attention just before she was about to dive back in. They found the couple coming up along the creek's edge, gasping for air, and the hole in the wall they must have escaped from, water still trickling from the opening.
Eugene and Rapunzel settled down on a log, no longer soaked and sitting by a fire. Rapunzel wrapped her hair around the cut Eugene had apparently gotten in the cave. She began to sing, her voice beyond beautiful and Amy and Art watched the spectacle as her hair lit up golden like rays of the sun. It surrounded his gash, glowing brightly specifically right on his palm. As the song died down, along with the glow, she unravelled the hair from his cut. Which was no longer there.
"So..the hair heals?" Amy commented, hands on her hips.
"...Does that mean you won the bet?"
Amy's teal eyes lit up brightly, "Ha! Yes!"
"Oh come on! I was so close to finding out!"
"Now...what did I get when I win, which by the way, I did." Amy giggled.
Art sighed, pulling her hair over her shoulder. "I promise to forgive and forget the Bunny and Tooth incident..."
"Oh okay! I'll still tell you what Bunny thinks of you anyway."
She squealed, "I think I'm gonna faint."
"If you do that I won't tell you! Come on, let's give them their moment..."
"Okay okay I won't! And is it just me or are they..."
"Falling in love? Oh yeah."
"Aww...yeah let's give them space..." Art and Amy walked out further into the woods, Art starting a fire with some dust she had, one of many pouches on her wrist. They settled down on the grass, leaning back on a fallen tree. Art pulled off her cloak, using it as a pillow to prop her head up as she laid back. Amy curled her legs up to her chest, wrapping her arms around them.
"Well, this adventure has proven to be...eventful."
"One of the best..." Art smiled, leaning back and shutting her eyes, which only widened with excitement when Amy spoke again.
"So...do you really wanna know?"
"It is good...right...?" Art smiled nervously.
"Of course!"
"Okay then tell me..."
"Well...he thinks you're beautiful that's for sure." Art blushed, a smile twitching at her lips. "And he thinks you're ridiculously talented but I mean i could've told you that already." Amy laughed, wings curling around her shoulders to keep herself warm. "He also wants to do anything to make you happy...which is so strange...I mean he's never been in love before so it's weird seeing him like that."
Art blushed, giggling, "He really said that about me?"
"Yeah, I mean, that's what Rogue told me..."
Art sighed contently, smiling and looking up at the stars that glittered between the branches of the trees that towered over them.
"God...being in love has to be so nice..."
"You would know, wouldn't you? Mrs. Cupid."
"Shut up it's totally not like that!" Amy blushed, burying half her face in her knees.
"Yeah, keep telling yourself that. I thought even the Guardians of Love know the first sign is denial..."
"The first sign is not- Oh would you just shut up!" Amy shoved her entire face into her knees.
"Oh come on! Bunny and I didn't talk much about you guys, but he did tell me something that Rogue told him about you..."
Amy perked up"What? Rogue talks about me?"
"As far as Bunny told me, yeah. A lot actually..."
"Really?" Amy smiled giddily, looking up again. Art nodded, smiling. "Did...did Bunny tell you anything he said?"
"Not much...Bunny and I were just really talking about your past lives."
"I don't have a past life...at least I don't remember it..."
Art looked over at her. Rogue hasn't told her? If he knows, why hasn't he told her? She cleared her throat, "What do you mean? You have to have had one, like all of us did."
"I don't remember though...my earliest memory was waking up on a street and seeing Rogue...except he kept calling me Amelia..."
"But your name is..." Art shook her head, "Did you and Rogue know each other in your past lives?"
"No I don't think so."
"But you said you saw him?"
"Yeah when I woke up from...from...I don't remember..."
"Wait, Rogue found you?"
"Yeah."
"You don't remember anything until Rogue found you? Is that what you're telling me?"
"Uh...yeah..."
"Haven't you ever thought about going to Tooth? She helped me, so why not you too?"
"I guess...I just...I don't know...I never really thought about it...Rogue says I'm better off not knowing..."
Gee I wonder why. Art thought, clearing her throat again. "Why?"
"He said my past might be too much for me to handle...I don't know...but I know I'm still not ready to find out..."
"Well...you trust Rogue...so...that's why you haven't found out...because he's scared that it's too much for you..."
"Yeah..." Amy shrugged, "But I'm good with the memories I have now anyway."
"I'm sure you are! I mean your first memory is your Prince Charming coming to your rescue."
Amy laughed, blushing. "God, you're more lovey dovey than I am."
"Well, that's why we're best friends." Art laughed too.
"Oh yeah, you're definitely my best friend."
"Well, do you want to know what Rogue told Bunny who told me about you?"
"Yes! Uh-um-I mean-uh-yeah-sure-no rush." Amy had sat up excitedly, then shifted back to sit comfortably, cheeks blaring red now.
"Well first..." Art put on her best Rogue voice, "The most competitive girl ever. And also the bravest and craziest and smartest and prettiest and..." She cleared her throat, returning to normal. "Do you want me to continue or are you gonna faint?"
Amy swatted her hands in front of her face, feeling the red in her cheeks. "No no, I'm fine, go on!"
Art laughed, "Well, that's really all Bunny told me...and he's not a liar so...yeah..."
Amy blushed, "So...he likes me?"
"I think so yeah. I'm pretty sure. And the same for you?"
"Yeah...I do...I kinda have for a bit now...I just never talked to anyone about it..."
"Well now you have me!"
"Yeah." Amy smiled, yawning suddenly. "I'm tired..."
"Me too...This had been one crazy day...and it's only the first day..."
"How long are we staying here anyway?"
"I think we said a month?"
"Yeah, that sounds about right..." Amy smiled, wings fluttering out in a stretch as she yawned again.
Art smiled, curling up against the tree, "Well...goodnight...we have another long day tomorrow..." She yawned, pulling her cloak around her now.
"Yeah..." Amy sprawled out on the grass, suddenly missing Rouge's warmth from their nap earlier that day.
"You know...I fell asleep in the meadow above the Warren...and you can see the stars...more than you can count...it was lovely..."
"Were you with Bunny?"
"Yeah..."
"Aww..." Amy yawned again, half asleep. "You guys are the cutest..."
"Not as cute as you and Ro..." Art fell asleep. Amy followed soon after.
A manly, well mostly, scream rang out into the forest, waking up a petite blonde princess, a chameleon, a swordsman, well woman, and a drooling cupid. Art bolted awake, screaming for Amy to wake up. Amy jumped to her feet, stumbling a bit, hair sticking up messily everywhere as she readied an arrow, aiming in all directions.
Art laughed, "Wow..you have terrible bed head..."
Amy glared at her, moving forward and walked towards the noise, slowly lowering her bow when she found out who screamed. She sighed, laughing a bit. "Flynn...and the horse..."
"What is it with that horse and Eugene! What did he do to it that made it hate him so much?"
"...well it is a palace horse...and he's a thief...so..."
"Oh...but he seems to like Rapunzel...that's a good...Maybe he knows she's the princess?"
"I doubt it...it's a horse."
"Then why does she have it acting like a dog?"
"...princesses do that?"
"Make a horse act like a dog?"
"I don't know...that lizard is pretty um...extraordinary."
Art opened her mouth to comment when she noticed they were alone. "Um...where are they going?"
"The castle, I guess?" Amy pointed up at the large castle sitting at the top of the island, a village swirling around the base.
"We should follow and make sure nothing bad happens again..." Art suggested, her partner nodding and following after. They approached the bridge that connected the forest to the kingdom, an immense kingdom decorated in mint tiled roofs, beige bricks, and millions of little purple flags printed with golden suns.
