1 year later

Batman strode into his cave, not surprised when Ghost seemed to materialise by his side. He had gotten used to that long ago. But he noted with a feeling akin to disappointment that she was once more covered in grime and dirt. She needed a bath.

"I'll tell the League all they need to know, Batman." Ghost said suddenly. "Go patrol. Joker and Riddler are both out, and you don't want to know what they were planning."

Batman turned to her, eyebrow raised. "One, you going to talk to the League would involve you being alone, and two, what are Joker and Riddler planning?"

Ghost smirked and jumped up into the air, casually walking on nothing. "One, I won't be alone, J'onn's there, and two, they're planning on kidnapping a bunch of people from Wayne Industries and Lex Corp to see who is smarter with riddles. Loser gets quality time with Joker."

The superhero sighed. "Fine, you can go, but do you want to have a bath first? Or at least take up some extra clothes?"

Ghost smirked. "Who said I didn't have clothes up there?"

"Recognised Ghost Girl I-0-1" Ghost Girl was gone, on her way to the Watchtower. Batman made a mental note to hack the security feeds later. He can't wait to see how many shades of red the big blue Boy Scout turns.

"Recognised Ghost Girl I-0-1."

Superman turned, eyebrows raised. That was the agreed designation for an informant, if they ever needed to be transported swiftly, but according to his knowledge, it had never been used. Until now.

"Hey Big Blue!" Called Ghost, waving madly. This was gonna be fun.

"Hi…?" Superman responded uncertainly. "Who are you?"

"Oh, I'm many people. A daughter an informant…" Ghost smirked. "A girl, a ghost. Who are you?"

The older man blinked. "Ahh… what?"

Ghost giggled and jumped, pushing off the heroes head to climb into an air vent.

"Hey, you can't go in there!" yelled Superman.

"Well I can, otherwise I wouldn't be in here." And Ghost disappeared. A haunting giggle spread through the tower, into the hearing of all the Leaguers there at the time.

"Uh, what was that?" Flash asked.

Martian Manhunter smirked, a foreign expression to see on his face. "That was a ghost."

And you can't blame Flash for screaming when the lights flickered and a little, dirt covered girl appeared on J'onn's lap, giggling and smirking like there's no tomorrow.

"Ahhh!" Flash was off, careening into Black Canary and Wonder Woman, who had come running at his scream.

J'onn and Ghost started laughing, the formers a deep baritone and the latters like a crystal clear flute. Wonder Woman and Black Canary melted at the sound, but caught themselves as the sight of the girl eating J'onn's Oreos. Which made them gasp. That was a death sentence. But J'onn didn't mind, sharing them, to the female heroes amazement.

"Uh, J'onn, who's this?" Wonder Woman asked uncertainly.

"This is Ghost Girl, an important friend to Batman and I."

The two women nodded dreamily, because Ghost had just looked up, and the sight of a cute little girl covered in grime and dirt appealed to a buried maternal instinct.

"And why is she covered in dirt? And where are her parents?" Black Canary suddenly looked livid. She was never able to handle child mistreatment well. She glared at J'onn like it was his fault.

The Martian opened his mouth to answer, but Ghost beat him to it. "She can answer for herself. I answer your question, I do not currently have parents, nor the facilities to maintain a high level of cleanliness, and have not visited the Batman's place of residence in many months, and so, I am not considered to be clean enough for polite society. Does that answer your question?"

Black Canary, Wonder Woman and J'onn perform some admirable fish impressions. Even though J'onn shouldn't be surprised, he is. He didn't know her vocabulary was that big.

"Uh, uh, yeah, that does…does answer the question. Mmhm. Yeah." Wonder Woman fumbled, trailing off at the sight of Ghost's smile.

"Good. Now, I'm gonna go get cleaned up." Ghost nodded to herself and jumped off of the Martians lap, beginning to walk off.

"Wait, do you even know where the showers are?" Black Canary ran up to the girl and grabbed her by the hand. "I can take you to mine. You'd get a bit more privacy there."

"Oh, I'll come and help!" Wonder Woman joined her colleague and together the three females were heading towards Black Canary's room.

J'onn put his head in his hands. "This is going to end badly.

With quick and precise movements the two females had Ghost undressed and in the tub. But no matter how hard they tried, she wouldn't take off her mask.

"Please child, just so we can get you clean." Wonder Woman tried, without success.

"No. My mask is staying on. And no, BC, I don't need any of your clothes. I have my own, and besides, yours wouldn't fit me."

This was said to Black Canary, who was walking over with an old t-shirt of hers. "Well then, where are your clothes? I can go get them for you"

Ghost smirked. "I won't tell you. If you had just let me go then I would have gotten them."

Wonder Woman took this lapse in the girls' concentration as a sign to try once more to pull off her mask. The fabric began to slip and wonder Woman began to smile in triumph, but then Ghost moved.

There was a gust of wind, blowing the women's hair around, and suddenly Ghost wasn't there anymore. She was hurtling through the tower, trying to get as far away from the two super heroes as she could. She was almost home free when she slammed into Superman. He had the politeness to cover his eyes when he noticed her nakedness, but in seconds that didn't matter anymore.

The winds surrounded the girl, covering her in a long flowing dress-looking thing, which was actually various gusts of wind that had picked up slight bits of debris off the Watchtower floors. Some other Leaguers had appeared during this commotion, including Martian Manhunter.

"Child, why are you not wearing any clothes?" The alien asked, pulling off his cape and wrapping it around Ghost.

The girl smiled gratefully at him, releasing her hold on the winds. "Wonder Woman tried to take off my mask and I panicked. I was heading for my clothes but the Boy Scout got in the way."

The girl turned to glare at Superman, who was currently impersonating a tomato. "I didn't mean to get in the way! A-and I didn't see anything, I swear!" The hero flew off swiftly. Black Canary and Wonder Woman appeared around the corner, relieved to see Ghost.

"I apologise Ghost Girl, I shouldn't have tried to take off your mask without your permission." Wonder Woman bowed her head, only to have it lifted by a small finger under her chin. Ghost was floating at Wonder Woman's height, the length of J'onn's cloak making her look like she was standing.

"It's fine Wonder Woman. You are a princess, and so, are not used to not getting your own way. I do not wish to remove my masks, for my own reasons. So you're going to have to live with it." Ghost smiled at the princess, who smiled back, before walking off. "Now, I'm gonna go get dressed, and then maybe we should eat?"

The girl looked towards J'onn who smiled. "Yes, meet me in the cafeteria. You can keep my cloak until you are clothed."

Ghost smirked and flew straight up, disappearing into an air vent.

J'onn walked off, and one of the on looking Leaguers, Green Arrow, spoke in confusion. "What just happened?"

Yeah Green Arrow, what did just happen? Anyway, sorry for the delay, but, well, i don't have an excuse. But i will try harder to update faster.
