Jurassic Park: Isla Sorna Survivors

Chapter One

Ivan and Bria stepped out of the plane onto the island of Isla Sorna.

They were visiting their single Father on the island, it was their first time ever setting foot or even finding out about the Island. It was green and flourishing, almost perfect!

"Amazing," Bria grinned. "Right Ivan?"

Ivan simply glared at Bria who had been a complete brat the entire ride here, then a tall man in an Ingen uniform walked up to them.

"This way kids," He turned and walked with the two following him. "Your Father is waiting for you."

"I wonder what kind of work Dad does,"Ivan grinned. "Probably a Top Secret War project!"

There was a screech from the left side of the forest and the kids stumbled backwards almost falling before the tall man caught them.

"Ignore that," He smiled. "Just some projects becoming 'interesting'."

Bria nodded but Ivan felt as if something was off about the way he said 'interesting'.

"Say," Ivan sped up to be beside the man. "What do you do here anyways?"

"I work in Security and Containment," The Man said. "Keeping people safe in simpler terms."

"Containment?" Ivan asked but the Man sped up and ignored him.

They were guided down halls filled with other children and who Ivan assumed to be their parents, the Adults all wore White Coats like scientists. They reached the end of a Hallway and Ivan pushed the door open to find people working frantically.

"Containment Breach," A slim man with glasses panted as he walked over to the Tall man. "You need to get VR-1 back in its zone."

"Again?" The Tall man grumbled before hurrying off completely forgetting Ivan and Bria.

"I think he forgot about us?" Bria said unsure.

"You think?" Ivan sneered as he walked around the Laboratory.

They searched around and eventually found a man looking at a glass module container that seemed to be keeping something alive.

The Man turned and grinned at the two kids, it was their Father Romeo.

"Welcome to Isla Sorna," He grinned.

"Why didn't you come for us?" Ivan asked and Romeo's smile faded.

"I would've but security was being Uptight because of certain unforeseen 'events'," Romeo said disgusted. "But you're here now so let's enjoy it!"

Ivan followed in behind Bria as their Father walked them over to a table with a bunch of computers. On it had images like placements for what seemed to be enclosure locations.

"What is this?" Ivan asked.

"This is where we keep track of the Dinosaurs!" Romeo grinned.

"Dinosaurs?" The kids said in shock.

Romeo looked at them with a puzzled look on his face, "Yes, Dinosaurs."

The kids grinned at each other for the first time in years, new possibilities have just opened up.

"Did your Mother not tell you?" Romeo asked softly.

"No," Ivan shook his head. "All she said was if we see or hear something, 'Run'."

Romeo facepalmed and sighed, "Alright let's carry on."

Ivan looked at the screen one last time as Bria and Romeo moved into a connecting hallway.

An enclosure flashed red and displayed the words, 'VR-1' with the following, 'ASSET OUT OF CONTAINMENT!'.

Everyone frantically hurried around, Ivan quickly caught up to his Father and Sister.

"-Isla Sorna is completely safe for all the Children and Adults working here," Romeo smiled. "Of course we have an emergency bunker for the Children just in case."

Ivan scrunched his face up, "Hey Dad, what is VR-1?"

Romeo stopped suddenly and Bria nearly collided with him, then he turned to look at Ivan.

"IF you hear VR under any circumstances when an emergency is up," Romeo looked grim. "Head to the bunker and stay there until someone comes to get you."

"So right now?" Ivan pointed at a scientist hurrying over to Romeo.

"Mr. Johnson," The Lady cleared her throat. "SPN-1 has escaped alongside the VR pack."

"What?" Romeo hissed. "How?"

"It seems there was a flaw in the spiked and electric enclosures," She explained. "However some of us suspect an intruder has set these schemes."

Romeo looked at the kids then the Scientist, then frowned.

"Get all the children and hide in the E.B while we prepare Evac," Romeo said. "We're getting out of here."

"Duely Noted," She nodded. "What about 'them'?"

"Take my kids with you to round up the children," Romeo ignored the lady and looked at the two kids wearily. "If you have no response from the team nor the military by tomorrow afternoon, 'SBE'."

"SBE?" The Lady looked at Ivan and Bria wearily before guiding Romeo out of earshot. After another minute of a conversation Romeo waved goodbye to the kids and turned a corner, The lady walked over to the two and smiled weakly.

"Hey you two," She forced out. "I'm Jane Coast."

"Hello!" Bria smiled oblivious to the obvious situation that Ivan could see.

"Where did my Father go?" Ivan glared.

"To fix things!" She faked her cheerful posture. "Now let's go!"

She grabbed the kids hands and guided them to the entrance to the E.B, "Inside while I get the others!"

"No," Ivan crossed his arms. "Not until you tell me what is going on!"

"Listen kid I'm no-" Jane snapped.

"I'm 15!" Ivan snarled.

"Listen Ivan," Jane hissed next to his ear quietly. "You're in danger at the moment as you have already noticed, keep cool for your sister!"

"What is going on?" Ivan insisted.

"Evac," Jane sighed. "Now come o-"

Jane looked around as the lights flickered, for a moment the lights completely turned off. They came back on and Jane turned white as snow, Bria turned to face what Jane saw and Jane had to cover Bria's mouth.

Ivan looked behind them and saw a giant eyeball peer through the glass at the very end of the hallway. It quickly disappeared and giant rumbling could be heard as the earth shook, Jane told them to stay put as she ran down the hall into some rooms. Kids no older than 13 followed her towards the E.B once she was done.

"Everyone inside," Jane ordered and all the kids rushed in but Ivan. "Ivan!"

"Mrs. Coast," Ivan gulped. "I'm going to find my Father."

"IVAN GET INSIDE!" Jane shouted as she lost her temper. There was a sound that Ivan recognized from his Gameboy game Jurassic Explorations, the call sign of a Velociraptor.

Ivan sprinted down the hall in fear as he heard Jane closed the Bunker doors, there was another call sign and something answered back.

Something bigger…

Ivan panted as he turned a corner and out the larger part of the Laboratory, he saw his Father ushering people into the building he just came from. There was a series of large rumbles and Ivan cleared his throat.

"DAD!" Ivan screamed and Romeo turned to him.

"IVAN GO!" Romeo shouted and a Jeep went flying over Romeo's head, it landed to the left of Ivan who was now sprawled on the floor paralyzed by fear.

A large dinosaur roared at the now gathered Ingen Guards and Armed Scientists, Romeo backed up slowly and then transitioned into a sprint but it was too late. The Spinosaurus snatched Romeo up with its long jaw and began to tear him into pieces. Romeo's left leg landed on Ivan's shins causing him to close his eyes in pain, when he opened them he was horrified. Blood was splattered on his clothing and skin, the bone was visible and the leg was in tears.

Ivan screamed in terror, the Spinosaurus roared once again and swept aside Jeeps and Trucks as it paved its way towards the Building. The Guards and Scientists opened fire using live rounds, it riddled the Spinosaurus but didn't inflict any serious damage.

Ivan stood up as the Spinosaurus snatched up another person and consumed him, it lashed its tail around and sent Guards flying. The Scientists began to retreat as the Spinosaurus roared, but they were met by the rest of the group struggling to get inside. Ivan looked at the doorway in fear and began sprinting away from the Group of Scientists and the Spinosaurus into the forest. He could hear screams from both Scientists and Velociraptors as the Dinosaurs tore apart the group.

Ivan sprinted further into the forest and jumped over a log nearly falling, he came to a dead end that was caused by a large fallen tree. Ivan found a space only big enough for his skinny short frame to fit in, he climbed in and found it pretty hollow. A bug crawled past his hand as he rested, quickly he smacked it away.

'Everyones dead,' Ivan was hyperventilating as he thought. 'Even Dad.'

Then he heard low pitched growling, he quickly removed his shirt and covered the slight space. The footsteps became clearer, it stepped on a twig and cracking noise became louder and louder.

'It's gathering twigs?'Ivan thought.

Then the sound of flesh tearing intruded his ears, it wasn't a twig…it was a human. Ivan backed up from the opening as the realization consumed him, eventually he hit the back and bumped his head creating a loud noise in the hollow area. The sounds of bone breaking and flesh tearing stopped, there were sniffing noises and it closed in on the slight opening. It screeched and grabbed Ivan's shirt, it quickly tore it to shreds.

Then Ivan remembered, 'They smell blood!'

He quickly removed his pants and shoes to remove his socks, he placed them in the slight opening when the Raptor looked away. As he put on his shoes and sat there in his underwear the Raptor sniffed and snatched his clothing away doing the same with it as the shirt. Ivan quickly fell asleep as his adrenaline left him as the Raptor left.

E.B (Emergency Bunker) -Brianna-

The sounds of destruction and terrible screams of pain were too much for Bria, she cried quietly into Jane's hands. Jane had told the others to cover each other's ears as a game, it didn't fool the teenagers.

"It's okay," Jane comforted Bria. "We're going to be okay."

The Lights in the Bunker had gone out along with most of the electricity, sometimes it would turn on but rarely for more than 5 minutes. The Bunker was a spacious area with concrete flooring and metal tables, there were lockers with weapons and a fridge with food alongside a gas stove.

"Let's all do something for fun, yes?" Jane smiled brightly.

"How can you say that?" The Oldest boy hissed.

"Listen Jamie," Jane frowned. "We need to keep everyone calm and quiet otherwise we'll be just like everyone out there!"

Bria looked at Jane with a terrified expression, she knew that everyone out there was dead.

"What do you mean like everyone out there?" A tiny child asked.

"Nothing," Jane cleared her throat. "Nothing at all."

The screams stopped, but there were still sounds of claws clicking on the ground. Velociraptors were hunting still, then after a few minutes there were bangs on the E.B doors.

"HELP!" A Man and Woman sobbed.

"Survivors!" Jane rushed for the door and unlocked it.

"HURRY!" Jamie wearily looked at the now exposed hallway in front of them.

"Than-"The woman started but she was quickly snatched by a blur.

She screamed in pain as the raptor tore into her, Bria could see it all from her corner. The right side of the hall was quickly splattered in blood and intestines, the man quickly closed the door behind him and locked it. The woman's cries could be heard but were then silenced after a few moments, the Raptor began slamming into the metal door.

"Looks like she finished," The man said grimly without a doubt then turned to Jane. "Doctor. Coast, thank you for saving me."

"Not a problem Mr. Salvador," She nodded and then eyed the man's clean demeanor. "Where were you while all this was happening?"

Mr. Salvador blushed and looked at his shoes, "The Bathroom."

"Doing what for 20 minu-" Jane started but then scrunched her face up. "Disgusting, you and her."

"It's an island!" He insisted. "People get pent up when stuck in the middle of nowhere!"

Jane shook her head, "You know how to cook at least?"

Mr. Salvador grinned and started for the fridge.

"This disgusting man can cook, believe it or not!" He said upbeat despite the situation.

Sector C Forest -Ivan-

Ivan woke to find everything silent other than the natural forest sounds, he had almost forgotten what was going on. The World seemed almost peaceful in his little base, then he remembered he needed to move. If Ivan remembered right he had seen other Sectors,Buildings and Enclosures on the Island which meant that some areas haven't been breached yet.

'Time to go,' Ivan thought. 'Got to get help.'

Ivan crawled out of the tiny opening, on the ground outside were shreds of meat and clothing. He held down the urge to throw up and quickly stood to his feet, then he quickly walked away from his little base.

Tracks could be seen on the dark coarse dirt, sizable far too big for a human. Though it didn't even need to be thought about to figure what made them, a Raptor. Ivan frowned and continued in the opposite direction where the tracks came from. There were no sounds other than Ivan's bare feet rubbing into the ground as he walked, it was quiet, too quiet. He hurried along as the thoughts of something watching him crept into his mind. Sooner or later Ivan arrived at the large damaged building, it was covered in blood and burnt jeep parts.

"This is insane…"Ivan mumbled as he stepped over the parts of Jeeps and people. The body parts were unidentifiable, they could have belonged to a Scientist or a Guard.

"Sorry!" Ivan grimaced as he stepped on someone's hand. Quickly hurrying to the entrance of the building to find it was no better inside, the doorway was in shambles. The glass was shattered all over the tiled flooring, blood streaks on the steel dent door. The fragile looking boy felt his hairs on his body stand upright as he heard a huff echo from down the hallway. Quickly he looked around and hid inside of a silver storage container the size of a cabinet.

The Velociraptor huffed as it trotted down the hall, its large claw clicking in rhythm. Ivan held his breath as the Raptor passed his hiding space, then another Raptors calling could be heard. The Raptor hissed and hurried off, leaving a frightened but thankful Ivan behind.

Ivan crept out of his container and crawled to the side of it, he froze, staring into the eyes of someone.

E.B (Emergency Bunker) -Jane-

Bria was tuckered out on the coffee table, the couch was covered in smaller children. The Teenagers however were sitting, staring into the wall as if they expected something to crawl through it. Mr. Salvador frowned, he then walked over to the metal door and placed his ear on it.

"What are you doing?" Jane asked suspectedly.

"We need to leave this place," Mr. Salvador murmured quietly to her. "Help is not coming."

Jane hurried to the door shoving Salvador away, "Nobody is leaving here because HELP is coming!"

Mr. Salvador shook his head, he then closed in on Jane. Holding his head over her shoulder and next to her ear, keeping his hands next to his sides.

"They aren't coming," Salvador whispered. "Because the emergency signal hasn't been activated."

Jane slowly turned her head to face his side eye, "What do you mean?"

"The power…it's out." He backed up, rubbing his neck.

Jane had been so overwhelmed she had forgotten, "What about the backup generators?Shouldn't they have been activated by now?"

"Not necessarily," Salvador frowned. "They're in a building far from here so we usually handprint activate a pad in the laboratory.

Jane palmed her face, the anger could be seen etching itself in her demeanor.

"Then go activate it!" She hissed.

"I can't. It requires two keys," Salvador grinned. "You and me."

Jane clenched her face and grit her teeth, the thoughts of being eaten swarmed her brain. Salvador placed his hand on her shoulder, smiling.

"We'll be fine," He nodded. "But we need to make sure they're safe."

They both looked at the children, each one either asleep or staring off into the dark.

"Obviously they-" Jane crossed her arms.

"Come with us." Salvador nodded.

"What?"

"They come with us," He repeated. "We leave them here and they'll hurry to the door at the slightest sound."

"If they go with us then there's no guarantee we all live!" Jane argued.

"Same circumstances if they stay." Salvador frowned.

Jane froze, thinking of all the worst possibilities of leaving them here and taking them. Finally she gave in, the kids were going to go.

Hallway -Johnny-

Johnny followed the group of kids from the back, his large frame for a 16 year old was exceptionally comforting for the small ones to have behind them. Jane had talked him into being the rear guard, unfortunately that meant he was going to be in the most danger.

"Follow closely," Jane had told them before they left. "And be as quiet as possible."

The group shuffled down the hallway, about 20 of them in total in complete silence. Blood smeared on the walls now and then, exposing the children to their second traumatic experience.

"Disgusting…" Johnny muttered as an arm could be seen, it was partially hidden by the darkness of that hallway. He stared at the connecting hallway, its darkness creating a feeling of eeriness as if something was in it. Johnny sighed and shook his head, thinking he was losing his mind because of this hell. The group moved along, inching closer to the Laboratory slowly but surely.

They arrived at the Lab entrance and waited for everyone to gather, Jane stood at the front with Salvador.

"Listen up," Salvador spoke. "The group will go inside but we will need two to stay outside as watch guards."

"Of course that will include Johnny," Jane warned him not to argue. "Now who volunteers as the other?"

Nobody spoke, nobody rose to the challenge, and almost nobody offered a response. Other than one person, Michael Vergas. His frame was small, it reminded Johnny of the boy who had left the E.B in a hurry to find his father. He felt sympathetic for the boy, knowing he most likely died in the terrifying events earlier that day.

"I'll do it," Michael nodded at Johnny. "Just hurry."

The group took that literally, the children all hurrying in after the two adults, stepping on glass and wires that dropped from the torn ceiling. Michael stood on the other side of the door like a knight in those movies. The two stood in silence for a moment, then Michael started up a conversation by stating the obvious.

"It's getting late," He looked at his cracked watch. "Sun should set in a few minutes."

"That's not good," Johnny frowned. "I just hope they activate the pad as soon as possible so we can return to the bunker."

Michael grinned, "True we wouldn't want any of those large lizards around eh?"

Johnny held back a smile, the sunlight dimming through the bullet holes in the roof.

He leaned to the left to peer at the hallway he'd passed earlier, examining it at an angle he could see the right side of the arm and hand. The sunlight from a window down that hallway was dimming and fading back down the hall.

Johnny swallowed his fears as the sun drew over the hand, almost hiding the hand in darkness as the fingers were about to disappear. Then suddenly the arm was dragged backwards slowly into the darkness, the large boy began to breathe heavily. Michael hurried over to Johnny, placing a hand on his chest.

"You good bud?" Michael asked.

"Run."

Michael chuckled at Johnny, "What's up with you? You're messing with me huh?"

Then they heard it, clicking echoing from down the hallway Johnny still had his eyes on. Completely covered in darkness, they could only see about 7 feet in front of them due to the sun going down.

"Quietly," Michael murmured. "Move inside the Lab."

They backed up slowly, keeping their eyes on the hallway as the clicking could be heard getting closer and becoming less of an echo than the actual thing.

Johnny glanced backwards at the door and pressed against it with his body weight, careful to keep it from making any noise. He cracked it enough to slide in, slowly he slid his body in…afterwards keeping his gaze through the crack over the top of Michael's head so he slid in without making any mistakes. He could see the snout sniffing the ground as Michael moved away from the door, Johnny slowly closed it and locked it with his eyes closed and his lips pursed in fear.

The click timed itself perfectly with the creature's claw, Michael let out a gasp of relief before turning away from the door.

"What's wrong?" Michael and Johnny hurried over to the round centered table with grim faces.

Jane glanced at the two and frowned, "I should be asking you that."

Johnny peered over her shoulder to see two separate pads, one across from the table broken. The other in front of them cracked and sparking with blue electricity.

"Ignore that," Jane sighed. "Salvador knows another route to the beacon's activation."

Michael nodded and glanced at Johnny who had fear stricken over his face, "Tell her."

Jane looked at Michael then Johnny, examining the two and then her face seized up after looking past them.

"What's wrong?" Johnny asked.

Janes eyes began to tear up and pointed at the door, the two turned slowly.

They hadn't noticed but the door had 5 inch glass slits in it, their fear returning quickly as they stared directly into the eye of the Velociraptors hungry green and black eye.

"Grab the kids and run." Salvador inched behind Jane.

"Quickly!" Salvador hissed as Jane led them all to the connecting room.

Johnny recognized rooms walls covered in drawings and toy shelves, it was the playroom that the small ones stayed in. There was a fire exit door that would go off if they opened it even though the power was out.

"Everyone let's go!" Salvador hurried to the door.

"We must do this in one go." Jane pushed the last of the kids to the door. "Is the steel door locked?"

"Yeah it should be," Michael said then there was the sound of glass breaking. "But it won't matter because the lock is close to the window."

Jane nodded, "All at once we go through this door."

"1…2…3!" Salvador pushed the door.

E.B -Ivan-

Ivan helped the injured man into the bunker, "You're lucky to be alive."

The man winced and chuckled, "You're one to talk."

"Stay here," Ivan ordered. "I'll close the door behind me but I've got to search for help."

"No need to search for them," The man clinched his teeth. "They're all dead…every single one."

Ivan faltered, the image of his Fathers limb popped into his head…etching itself into his mind.

"I've got to find my sister," Ivan wiped his eyes. "She's alive…I know it."

"How?" He asked. "The bunker is empty."

"Exactly," Ivan grinned a bit. "Which means the-"

An alarm went off down the hall, the sound was soon followed by a screech and calling sound.

"QUICKLY SHUT THE DOOR!" The man said with fear in his eyes.

Ivan nodded and left the room, shutting the door behind him. He ran down the hall away from the sound, soon finding himself outside where the slaughter had happened.

He sprinted around the building towards the back and slowed himself to a crouching position behind a log, finding a group of Raptors gathered at a wide open door.

Ivan grinned, "They made it out."

His grin was interrupted by the Raptors movement, all 6 began sprinting into the forest as if they were hunting something.

"Bria…" Ivan could feel the blood drain from his face.
