The more you communicate with someone, the more you learn about them. It's as if that person becomes an integral part of your life. You could say that about Bakugou and Midoriya. They lived close to each other, which is why they went to the same kindergarten. Even though their first meeting was not particularly good, because both children did not pay any attention to each other, then it grew into such a strong friendship that even after ten years they are still together. For both of them, this friendship was an important step in their lives. Midoriya has a purpose and someone to follow, and Bakugou has her first and truest friend. It was as if it was a blessing for them.
Despite their strong friendship, Midoriya and Bakugou quarreled many times, and these quarrels sometimes reached their climax, nearly destroying their friendship once. It was difficult to apologize as well as to accept, but in the end it only made their friendship stronger. When their last quarrel occurred, the people around them at first simply guffawed, but when a month of ignoring had passed everyone began to worry. Midoriya and Bakugou still had some conversations, but they were strictly during practice, not outside the classroom or the stadium.
- Midoriya, what's your hurry! - A girl with short pink hair in which you could see small horns exclaimed. She held her friend's hand as she walked up the stairs. Class hadn't started yet, but the head of the class didn't like it when students arrived at the bell, so Midoriya tried not to be late.
- You know Iida-kun. - Shaking her head, Midoriya said. The girls went up to their floor, walking down the empty hallway. - I think I'll pass.
- Why not? - Mina shook her hair and stretched. - I made such plans for the weekend!
Throughout her childhood, Midoriya had hardly been friends with anyone. She found herself boring and her fascination with analyzing quirks tedious, so she didn't even know what to talk about with others. Bakugou was different from the others, so their communication swirled, soon turning into a strong friendship. In high school, however, everything changed. It was as if everyone was reaching out to Midori, now constantly surrounding her. Even after her quarrel with Bakugou, Midoriya was no longer alone.
- Sorry, I wanted to study for the test. I got a pretty low score last time. - Midoriya said in an apologetic tone. She opened the door, letting her friend go ahead.
- Wow, low! - Mina exclaimed, falling into her seat. After saying hello to her classmates, she continued. - You're seventh in your class.
- I could have done better. - Midoriya shrugged and said. - If I keep saying to myself, 'It's okay, it's okay,' is there any point in studying? I'm sorry, but I think if you're going to do something, you should finish it.
- Yeah, yeah, sure. - Mina snorted. You couldn't be sure what had caused the two of them to start communicating. Maybe it was the 'charming face that caught her eye right away' as Mina liked to say about Midoriya, or maybe it was Ashido's wind-up personality that was impossible not to pay attention to. It didn't matter the reason for this friendship, the important thing was that now the girls could enjoy each other's company. - But maybe you should think about it a little more carefully.
Midoriya sighed, shaking her head with a smile. Mina was unbearable. If she came up with something, hang on, they probably wouldn't let go of you until they got you into action. It was probably only after meeting Mina that Midoriya was able to live her life to the fullest.
- I'll think about it, but I can't promise that the answer will change.
The bell was about to ring in a second, but Midoriya had no intention of returning to her seat. During her quarrel with Bakugou, she had reverted to the forgotten habit of not sitting in her seat until the bell rang. This could have led to a casual conversation, and eventually become a resolution to the conflict. Neither side wanted that, as if seeing the only solution was an apology from the other. The trifling quarrel again turned into a war of ambition. The classmates were wary and distrustful at first. But now they were more or less used to it, and never refused if Midoriya wanted to talk to them or do something she usually did with Bakugou.
With the bell ringing and the teacher entering the classroom, Midoriya finally returned to her seat. Aizawa, who had almost immediately stopped paying attention to her behavior, made his way to the pulpit.
- I will not bore you long. Today you have before you. - Taking out a card and turning it face up to the class, Aizawa proclaimed. - The test of salvation. You've had a class with All Might, so now let's put the theory into practice. And don't be late, right? - Aizawa grumbled, glancing sternly around Kaminari and Mina's desks.
- It was just one time. - Mina muttered grudgingly, but didn't say it any louder. She grabbed her briefcase, ran over to Midoriya, and grabbed her hand and walked out the door.
There was a tense silence in the locker room. This was the third time the teachers had attempted the rescue test. The first time the UA had been attacked by the League, the second time, the students had made quite a few mistakes, and this was more of an opportunity for the teachers, to give out the teaching material better.
- After All Might told us the basics, it should be easier. - Yaoyorozu said softly, exhaling nervously. - But I'm still worried.
- This class has been disrupted so many times, so your worry is understandable. - Jirou encouraged her classmate. - But we have to get through it.
- It's true. - Uraraka smiled. - I'm sure that all our failures have only made us stronger.
After these words, the atmosphere in the locker room became lighter. Both Yaoyorozu, Jirou, and Uraraka were all worried about the upcoming class, but they had to pull themselves together and get into the fight with renewed vigor.
- I love you, Uraraka! - Mina exclaimed as she came out of the locker room. - She said something that made everyone feel better.
- Kero. - Asui nodded as she came closer. - Your words, coming from the heart, are really important to all of us.
Uraraka's cheeks turned a shade of red. She covered them with her hands and shook her head in embarrassment.
- You're embarrassing me. - Through a smile, Uraraka muttered. She felt a hand on her shoulder, and finally assumed her former position.
- But it's true. - Midoriya remarked, hugging her friend. - You're wonderful.
- Of course I am. - said Mina, walking around to the other side. - But we still need to talk about you.
Mina looked at Midoriya. It was not hard to guess what the conversation was about. Even though the boys didn't get much involved in the conflict, their interest in its origins was clear. Mina, who had also been hanging around Bakugou's company a lot lately, was one of the most interested parties. More than once she tried to ask something, but usually received vague answers. Naturally this didn't satisfy her, and now it seemed that Mina had finally decided to see things through.
- What happened? Weren't you two thick as thieves? - Mina asked, slowing down a little.
- People are always arguing. - Shrugging her shoulders, Midoriya said. Her tone sounded indifferent to what was going on. She was used to dismissing questions like that.
- No, no! - Mina shook her head with a cry of exasperation. - It won't work that way this time. I'm waiting for a proper explanation. We're curious.
- Well, if Midoriya doesn't want to talk about it, maybe we shouldn't push too hard. - Uraraka asked, supported by Asui, who was walking next to her. She had always been against Mina interfering in Midoriya and Bakugou's relationship, but usually Ashido was adamant. And now she had not been persuaded.
- But I'm just curious. - Mina pouted. She kept glancing at Midori the whole way, waiting for her to give in. And it looked like she was almost able to make it happen.
- The usual quarrel. Nothing remarkable. I can't even remember what started it. - I can't even remember what it was about," Midoriya said, ignoring that.
- Wait. - Uraraka turned to her friend. - You don't remember what your fight started, but you still keep ignoring Bakugo?
- It's hard to explain, but I don't want to apologize first. Not right now.
