Chapter 1
Through the laughter filling the night, a lone girl sat alone on a bench, observing the festivities of the one-night passing fair. My pitch-black hair helped me blend in with the night. Onyx eyes seemed to penetrate everything. There was a boy that my eyes kept going to. A pink haired girl was following him. Of course, I knew them. Uchiha Sasuke and Haruno Sakura. I stood up, it was only one night so I decided to explore a bit. Quietly traveling through the streets, nobody seemed to notice me.
I looked at a huge golden fish when suddenly a wrenching pain wracked my side. I opened my eyes to Sasuke looking back at me. We just sat there until I coughed violently, tears streaming down my face. Sasuke's expression didn't change but what he said, did.
"Shiinata, are you alright?"
I looked up, barely, and stood. My legs were shaking violently.
"Y-y-yeah……j-just had…….the…….the air knocked out of me…"
Sasuke's eyes looked worried when I caught his gaze.
"I-I'll be fine now, thanks."
With that I turned and began to walk away, as Sakura caught up with Sasuke. I heard her say
"Was that Shiinata?"
"Yeah."
"Come on, Sasuke-kun…wait!"
I started to turn, but a hand pulled me around anyway.
"Hey!"
But, I was looking into the same eyes. The same expression, everything. Sakura rammed into Sasuke, in an effort to pull him away from me, but, then his lips touched mine. My arm, that Sakura had tried to wrench off, so that Sasuke wouldn't hang out with me, hung on Sasuke's shoulder. He put his hand on my back, softly. Sakura gasped and glared, her eyes like flames. My eyes closed as I kissed him, and he kissed me right back. Finally, Sakura stabbed her nails into my back and wrenched the two apart. Sasuke started after me, as I turned away and started to run. Sakura and Ino caught him.
"Shiinata, wait!" He called, but it was no use.
Sakura pulled him away once more, and Ino helped.
