"Do you know how many medical files I don't have?" Helix asks as he looks through Obi-Wan's medical files.

"Well, now you got a lot of work." The new shiny medic, Starr, states as he looks at their supplies, checking to see if they need more of something.

"The research Master Che has done on his immortality is extensive, how were they not able to find anything." Helix murmurs. His comm beeps, and Helix sighs as he answers.

"Helix, the General needs you in his quarters now. He's having a panic attack," Cody states worriedly through the comm, and Helix jumps up from his seat. He quickly rushes to the General's quarters, Starr right behind him.

Helix storms in and sees Obi-Wan on his desk, hyperventilating. He kneels down to Obi-Wan's eyes level and squeezes his hand.

"Hey, it's okay, calm down." Helix kindly states. "Follow my breathing." Obi-Wan looks at him wide-eyed and nods. "1 in, 2 out, 1 in, 2 out, 1 in, 2 out." Obi-Wan follows, and he slowly starts to breathe normally. "Good, just keep breathing slowly. Take your time," Helix assures. Helix squeezes his hand again, grounding him.

After a few minutes, Helix goes over the breathing exercise again. After he's done, Helix smiles at him. "Good job, just keep doing that. Starr is going to stay with you. I'm going to talk to the Commander for a minute." Obi-Wan nods, and Starr kneels beside Helix. Starr nods to Helix, and Helix gets up and walks to Cody. He walks past Cody and waves for him to follow. He stops outside the quarters.

"What happened? He's only had a panic attack like that once when his whole situation came out, and this one was worse!" Helix declares, Cody hesitates, and Helix's eyes widen. "Cody?"

"The General had a meeting with the Council, Skywalker, and the Chancellor," Cody states, and Helix shakes his head.

"Please tell me they didn't," Helix states.

"They want him to sneak into one of the main Separatists' bases and blow it up from the inside," Cody informs, and Helix looks at him, shocked. How far has the Republic fallen where they will send a man to his death?

"That's a mission where there is not even a chance of survival. It's suicide!" Helix angrily states. "I don't care that he can come back. He's not going on that mission." Helix declares, and Cody looks at him, his face telling him all he needs to know.

"I'm sorry, Helix. I want him to stay too, but it's a direct order from the Chancellor." Cody states, Helix narrows his eyes.

"Every General can deny a mission," Helix says slowly. Cody shakes his head.

"The General already denied it. The Chancellor will make him cooperate; he's threatening to take the 212th and Commander Tano away from the General." Cody states.

"He's going to kill himself because of us." Helix state. "The General wasn't meant for war. He's too kind," Helix mutters.

"No, he wasn't," Cody states. "What are we going to do?"

"I don't know," Helix admits. "There's no way the General won't go now, he's threatening the people he cares about."

"I can't believe Skywalker betrayed the General like that, this is all his fault. He should have kept his mouth shut. That di'kut." Cody declares, and Helix can't help but agree.

"When does he have to leave?" Helix asks, and Cody grimaces.

"Tomorrow morning," Cody states, and Helix frowns. Helix holds up his hands in anger.

"They want him to practically himself, and they aren't even giving him time to process the mission!" Helix angrily states.

"Is there at least going to be a transport to bring him back when the mission is done?" Helix asks, and Cody nods.

"We'll be the ones picking him up," Cody states. You mean picking up his corpse. Helix thinks but doesn't say. Cody hears it all the same.

"At least he'll be back with us again." Cody tiredly says. However, Helix immediately shakes his head.

"No, Cody. He won't. After this mission, they will keep doing it, over and over again, because he is the more logical choice. Because he is different, the Republic will use that to their advantage." Helix states as he rubs a hand over his face. "When we found out, I promised him I wouldn't let this happen to him. I said I'd protect him, Cody."

"We can't do anything, Helix. I promise you if we could do anything, we would, but we can't. We're just clones. We don't matter to the Republic." Cody states.

"And Skywalker thought the General didn't care about anyone." Helix bitterly laughs. "He's doing this for us."

"I know," Cody states. Helix straightens up and looks at Cody.

"We can't stop him from taking this mission because it's so soon, even though I promised him." Helix pauses. "However, we can try to stop future ones. We need to contact his Senator friend, Organa. The Senate is the only legal way to help him." Helix states.

"And the non-legal?" Cody asks, and Helix grimaces.

"I'm still coming up with that part, but it includes kidnapping a certain Jedi and their Padawan," Helix states, and Cody nods.

"I'll contact the Senator immediately. The sooner, the better," Cody states and leaves. His comm beeps, and he sees the name. Commander Tano.
