Amy: Captain, what's going on?

Holt: Well, Santiago, Jeffords, Lansing and I just found out that something's going on regarding the 1st and 3rd floors in the precinct.

Lansing: They say both floors are under renovation.

Terry: Why?

Holt: They didn't say.

Amy: Well, it could be for anything, new task force, new squad.

Lansing: Possibly, but it could be also be full of uniformed officers.

Terry: Maybe.

Holt: Dismissed.

Lansing: Captain, I just got off the phone, someone needs me.

Holt: Go, take Peralta with you.

Lansing: Thank you, Captain.

Lansing heads out of Holt's office.

Lansing: Peralta, with me, let's go.

Jake: Copy that, Lieutenant.

Lansing: I've been a Captain for years, you know that, just joking, still Lieutenant.

Jake and Lansing arrive at the scene to see a familiar face.

Jake: Oh, man, is that-.

Lansing: I think it is.

Jake: Doctor!

Lansing: Natalie, what's going on?

Natalie: Thanks, guys for coming, this is the guy.

Lansing: Well, he should be taken to the hospital, or perform treatment on him yourself.

Natalie: I called you guys because we need a ride to the hospital.

Lansing: Let's go.

Jake, Lansing and Natalie head into Lansing's car.

Back at the 99

Holt: Listen up, Lieutenant Lansing will be back shortly, but he has some updates on the renovations happening in this precinct.

Amy: Copy, Captain.

Lansing steps out of the elevator.

Holt: Lieutenant, renovation updates.

Lansing: OK, Chicago first responders will be moving into the 99, ergo the 1st and 3rd floors will be renovated.

Amy: The more the merrier.

Lansing: Diaz, Boyle, old friends are waiting for you.

Charles: Better be good.

Kim: Something's going down regarding our teams.

Gabby: We're moving into your precinct.

Charles: Interesting, turns out we're gonna see more of you.

Kim: You are.

Rosa: Amazing.

Charles: Let's go.

Cuts to Jake and Natalie

Natalie: I always liked it here. It had everything.

Jake: Obviously, New York has everything.

Natalie: Yeah, it does.

Jake: I heard about your husband, I'm sorry.

Natalie: It's fine, so sad.

Jake: It is.

Natalie: Jake, I have to tell you something.

Jake: You can tell me anything, you know that.

Natalie: I started a job at Chicago Med and the entire team is moving to New York.

Jake: So you're moving to New York.

Natalie: That's true.

Jake: Will you need help with anything?

Natalie: Somewhere to stay.

Jake: I'll find somewhere for you to stay.

Natalie: Thanks, Jake.

Jake: No problem, glad to have you back.

Natalie: Glad to be back.

Jake: Lieutenant Lansing can help you very easily.

Natalie: Get him to it.

Jake: I will.

Later at the precinct

Lansing: I spoke to Jake, Natalie needs my help finding a place to live, I'm gonna need to do a living situation, who's staying with who.

Amy: So we're not just having new colleagues, we're also getting new roommates, they better be good.

Lansing: Trust me, you're gonna like them.

Terry: That won't work.

Lansing: You and Captain Holt are exceptions, due to your marriages.

Terry: Thank god.

Jake: It was amazing.

Lansing: Good, great actually.

Jake: What are you working on?

Lansing: Roommate assignments.

Jake: Smort, some open apartments for the new people and we're also gonna bunk with some of them.

Lansing: Better believe it.

Holt: We're also gonna get some new duties, we're also gonna be doctors and firefighters.

Lansing: I'll have your firefighter assignments shortly.

Jake: Thanks, Lieutenant.

Lansing: No problem.

Holt: Lansing, my office.

Lansing goes into Holt's office.

Holt: You head the DEA unit on the 2nd floor, right?

Lansing: I do.

Holt: Any problems with the new people.

Lansing: One, there's this guy, Sloan, on fire scenes, we're gonna have to take orders from him, he's just police consultant, I don't get it.

Holt: He should have to take orders from us.

Lansing: Both of us outrank him, so does Jeffords.

Holt: Why will we have to take orders from him?

Lansing: Don't know why, we'll find out eventually.

Holt: Thanks for the info.

Lansing and Holt's phones ping.

Lansing: Got some info.

Holt: Same.

Lansing: Looks like everyone got info.

Jake: Oh, yeah, baby, Detective Lindsay and Lieutenant Severide.

Lansing: He's talking about Erin Lindsay and Kelly Severide, isn't he?

Holt: Those are the two.

Lansing: These also have biographies, so we know everything about everyone.

Holt: No interviews necessary.

Lansing: Boyle's gonna have a problem.

Holt: An old friend of his is gonna be on the fire team, what's this about?

Lansing: Check the doctor team.

Holt: You're right, an old enemy.

Lansing: Sarah.

Holt: Dismissed, Lieutenant.

Lansing leaves Holt's office.

Amy: This is gonna be amazing.

Lansing: Now it's easier for me to do assignments.

Amy: Yeah, it is.

Lansing: I gotta warn my team about the new people.

Amy: I figured.

Lansing: I'll be back up however.

Amy: Copy that.

Lansing steps in the elevator.

Kim: This is interesting, I'm here earlier than both Intelligence and my partner.

Holt: You don't begin duty until tomorrow.

Kim: I figured you'd say that.

Charles: Well, I'm glad she's on the new police team from Chicago.

Jake: Did you get the post?

Charles: What post?

Holt: New members.

Charles: I got a notification while I was out, that was not what it was about.

Amy: What was it about.

Charles: Wuntch wanted to see me later today.

Holt: That she-devil.

Charles: I'm heading out very shortly.

Holt: Tell me if it's positive or not.

Charles: I will, Captain.

Holt: Thanks.

Lansing: Guys, I have fire assignments, Scully, Hitchcock, Engine, Peralta, Boyle, Truck, Santiago, Diaz, Squad, Gina, Ambo, Jeffords, Holt, Battalion.

Holt: Will you be on Battalion?

Lansing: I will be on Battalion.

Amy: Nice, Rescue Squad.

Holt: What does Sloan ride with.

Lansing: Police 51 and Squad.

Holt: He takes orders from the Lieutenant on Squad, we're gonna have to take orders from Sloan apparently.

Lansing: Yep, Gabby Dawson, a colleague of Sloan's, is in town, the rest of the squad including Sloan will be here tomorrow.

Holt: All of you are to be busy tomorrow with these people.

Lansing: And if you're not, I will know.

Holt: Dismissed.

Everyone gets back to work.

One Police Plaza

Wuntch: Detective Boyle, thanks for coming.

Charles: Deputy Chief, what's this about?

Wuntch: I heard about Chicago taking over your precinct.

Charles: That's true, full force beginning tomorrow.

Wuntch: Well, I want you to keep an eye on one of the cops, Hank Voight.

Charles: Voight, he heads the Intelligence Unit.

Wuntch: Antonio Dawson is his second-in-command, Voight is about to be fourth-in-command of the unit, behind, Jeffords, Lansing and Holt.

Charles: Voight is believed to be a dirty cop back in Chicago, but that could change here.

Wuntch: It might, but how he does things probably will not.

Charles: The entire unit will have an eye on him.

Wuntch: Just what I wanted to hear.

Charles leaves Wuntch's office.

Later at the 99

Holt: How did the meeting go?

Charles: It was short, she only wanted to talk the Chicago cop.

Lansing: Voight?

Charles: Yes.

Holt: Head into my office please.

Charles follows Holt and Lansing into Holt's office.

Lansing: OK, there's good news and there's bad news.

Charles: Tell me the bad news first.

Holt: Get ready to be devastated.

Lansing: The post we got had info on all employees from Chicago that are transferring here.

Charles: I saw something that looked like it.

Lansing: OK, one of the doctors is Sarah.

Charles: Son of a bitch, I hate her.

Lansing: Everyone does, the good news is Sylvie Brett is on the fire squad.

Charles: One positive, one negative.

Holt: Exactly.

Lansing: Well, there's one more negative, your friendship is on the line.

Charles: With Jake.

Lansing: The name Natalie Manning mean anything to you?

Charles: That's the woman who I can't compete against.

Lansing: Jake will begin to prefer her over you, Chuck.

Charles: Oh, man.

Holt: You two can talk more in Lansing's office.

Charles: Copy that.

Lansing: Dismissed.

Charles leaves Holt's office.

Amy: Captain, I'm gonna go on a food run.

Holt: That is necessary.

Lansing: Permission granted, we need to eat.

Amy steps into the elevator.

Jake: Lansing, you do have the same attitude from when you were a Captain.

Lansing: Only demoted to Lieutenant, no big deal.

Holt: Nothing big really for him.

Lansing: I still head a team, people still report to me and I still get to see the action.

Terry: Why did you get demoted?

Lansing: Happened when I transferred here.

Charles: I figured.

Holt: A precinct can't have more than 1 Captain.

Terry: That's right.

Lansing: But it can have more than 1 Lieutenant.

Jake: Well, that's surprising.

Charles: Well, these people are gonna be glad to work with you.

Jake: We already are.

Holt: See you tomorrow.

Lansing: Meet the new people as well.

Amy steps out of the elevator.

Amy: Food's here.

Lansing: Just wrapped up.

Amy: Well, I did have to pack up for the Chicago people, brought food for all 3 floors and Lansing's unit.

Lansing: They're gonna be glad.

Amy: Lansing, is it fine if I come over to your place tonight?

Lansing: Absolutely.

Holt: Dismissed.

Everyone leaves the precinct.

Charles: Jake, tomorrow's a big day.

Jake: How long since you and Sarah last saw each other?

Charles: 9 years.

Jake: Tomorrow, you're gonna see her again.

Charles: Yep.

Jake: It better go well.

Later at Jake's apartment, someone knocks on Jake's door, someone he does not recognize.

Gabby: I wanted to introduce myself, I'm Gabriela Dawson.

Jake: Jake Peralta, my boss told me we're gonna be working in the same place beginning tomorrow.

Gabby: We are, different floors however.

Jake: Nice to meet you, come in.

Amy knocks on Lansing's door, he answers.

Lansing: What's this about?

Amy: OK, I have feelings for Jake, but this Natalie woman could take her from me.

Lansing: Well, one of the new people might change that.

Amy: Maybe.

Lansing: OK, roommate assignments are finished.

Amy: What are those bags?

Lansing: Chicago stuff.

Amy: They don't know who they'll be living with.

Cuts to Jake and Gabby

Gabby: My ex is my Lieutenant on Truck and I still have to work under him, we remain friends and we work together well.

Jake: I don't keep in touch with any of my exes despite me wanting to with some.

Gabby: That's a good decision.

Jake: You clearly still love him.

Gabby: I do, we can't be together.

Jake: There's this Deputy Chief, Wuntch, we hate her, she'll stop that from happening.

Gabby: Dating your direct superior is really bad, your job is on the line immediately.

Jake: You know in this light, you're really beautiful.

Gabby: Some other people think that.

Jake: I also got assigned to Truck.

Gabby: Adding new responsibilities, you as a firefighter and a doctor, me as a doctor and cop.

Jake: I'll be working with your brother, Antonio, beginning tomorrow, he is an impress-.

She interrupts him by kissing him.

Jake: What are you doing?

Gabby: I'm not sure what got into me, but yes, you will be working with Antonio tomorrow, he's a good guy, trust me.

Jake: I will.

Gabby: Well, can I stay with you just for tonight?

Jake: Only for tonight, Lieutenant Lansing has rooming assignments for tomorrow and on.

Gabby: Thanks.

Jake: You're welcome.

Gabby: I didn't want to kiss you, I was just in the mood.

Jake: Smart decision.

Gabby: Right one as well.

Jake: Wuntch is a bad person, my Captain and her have this rivalry.

Gabby: Rivalries are bad.

Jake: Well, if you're staying here, might as well get you a blanket.

Gabby: Thanks.

She kisses him again and this time, it's full of passion and want and embrace, they begin to tear clothes off each other, making their way into the bedroom to do their business.
