BDE

Summary: In a world full of alphas, betas, and omegas, Detective Elliot Stabler thought he had it all figured out while working for Manhattan SVU, until his Captain introduced him to his new partner. AU starts in season 01, canon except for A/B/O dynamics, Omegaverse.

A/N: Series rewrite from season 01, 1999, takes place in Omegaverse. Rated M for swearing, and sexual situations. AU.

A/N 2: This is the result of a fever and heavy pain meds. Ummm a/b/o dynamics with a twist… I already know most people will not like this scenario and that's alright, I know it's not everyone's cup of tea. I will try to explain as much of Omegaverse as I can naturally in the story, anything else I will post in the chapter notes.

Disclaimer: Clearly by this story you'll be able to tell I don't own SVU.

Chapter 01

Special Victims Unit, 16th Precinct, Manhattan, September 1999

"Word on the street is that you my friend are getting a new partner today," Detective John Munch declared as he walked behind his colleague, who was sitting quietly at his desk, squinting at the words on his fuzzy computer screen.

Elliot rubbed a hand down his face, and gave up on his current research. He closed the program on his computer, and smiled fondly as his background came into view. It was a picture of his family from a precinct BBQ a few years prior.

In the world they lived in he knew he was lucky. He had found a docile beta who accepted him for who he was. Most of the world was filled with betas, close to 80%, the rest was divided between alphas and omegas.

Working as a police officer, he was surrounded mostly be betas all day, criminals however, came in every shape and size. He didn't know how things worked decades ago, but in his world, being in an alpha's rut, or an omega's heat, was no excuse for sexual assault. Still he couldn't ignore that certain types of people seemed more likely to have their charges dropped, compared to others. It was a fucked up system, nothing was perfect, but thanks to modern medicines, things were better than they use to be.

Pharmacies offered medications to dampen ones scent, or even change it, allowing alpha's and omega's to hide in plain sight as beta's. There were pills to help people get through their heats, and ruts, that lessened their sexual desires. One of the best inventions were contraceptives, for men and women omega's, or else the population would have been double all around the world. M

Being raised Catholic, Elliot's family, and wife didn't believe in taking a lot of the medicine available to them, which was also why they rarely had sex. He himself took a solution each month to dampen his arousal, and because of the field he worked in, he too disguised himself as a beta.

Every once in a while he worried an alpha, or an omega, might be able to distinguish his true identity, but he was assured again, and again by his doctor that he was safe. Very rarely they heard rumours of someone sniffing out somebody else's status when they were trying to disguise it, but only in couple's who had been together for decades, couple's who had mating marks.

Elliot eyed the blonde woman in the picture, Kathy, the mother of his children. Marriage was one thing in their world, something both their parent's had insisted on, but they had never given each other those permanent marks. They could always get divorced if things went south, but once you bite someone, display that permanent mark on their skin between their shoulder, and neck, those marks were for life. He had heard many cases of couple's biting each other, and separating years later, except they couldn't. They would get physically sick, if they spent long periods of time apart. Alas him and Kathy had never done it. Not because he thought they would divorce one day, but they were married, he didn't see a reason to walk around like so many others in society with teeth marks on his neck.

Munch clapped him on the shoulders, bringing him out of his thought, "You excited?"

Elliot spun around in his chair, "To be stuck with some green rookie who can barely tie their shoes, or count to two? Not really, I think my 5 year old is more capable then the beat cops they've been promoting lately."

"Well," a voice boomed from behind the thin older Detective, "Try to keep those thoughts to yourself. I'm warning you now, this is your last chance Stabler, two strikes, one more and I'm kicking your ass to Staten Island, parking enforcement is always in need of more bodies."

Elliot sprang from his chair, and chased his Captain into his office, "Come on Cap don't do this to me, you know I'm good riding solo."

"Yes because nobody can stand to be in your presence for more than a week, besides unit policy is changing, white shirts are insisting on every officer having a partner, especially with the rising population in the city, more people equals more crime, means we need more cops," Cragen explained.

"I mean it Stabler, screw this one up and you're done here. Your new partner comes with the best references I've ever seen, not to mention breaking almost every damn record back at the acade-"

"Great, you've paired me with a goodie two shoes, a suck up?" Elliot folded his arms across his chest, his work shirt was rolled up to his elbows.

"Actually," they heard from the open doorway, "I don't do the sucking, people like me so much, they usually suck up to me."

Cragen gave a tight lipped smile as he stood, and Elliot pivoted on the spot. The voice was low, but smooth as silk, causing a shiver to run up his spine. As his blue gaze landed on a pair of chocolate brown eyes, he felt something dark, possibly dangerous, and definitely mysterious, descend upon him.

"Detective Elliot Stabler, I'd like you to meet Detective Olivia Benson, your new partner," Cragen said, his eyes darting back and forth as he introduced the pair.

Neither moved to shake hands, they simply continued their visual appraisal of one another.

Elliot didn't know how to describe what he was feeling. An odd warm tingling sensation was working it's way over his entire body, he felt like every nerve in him was suddenly vibrating at an enhanced frequency. He watched this new woman's eyes as they travelled over every inch of him.

Finally they came to a halt, as they reconnected with his own. He gulped, cringing internally when it was audible in the otherwise silent room.

Elliot heard his Captain clear his throat, and begin to speak, but he couldn't cut the connection he had established with this person that was apparently his new partner.

He felt goosebumps appear on his skin, and he visibly trembled despite the warm late summer air. Elliot narrowed his gaze as a smirk appeared on the other Detective's beautiful face, a small glimpse of white teeth, as her plump ruby lips curved into a half smile.

"That sound alright with you Elliot?" Cragen asked.

He looked up from his desk when he got no response, "Stabler?!"

Elliot heard the sweetest sound, a light chuckle emanated from the succulent lips he had been hypnotized by.

"Ummm, ye-yeah, yeahhh," Elliot sighed.

Cragen dropped a rather large file on his desk, the noise finally snapped him out of his trance.

Elliot blinked a couple times, "So-sorry Cap."

"Take this file down to records, and show Benson the precinct while you're at it. Think you can handle that Detective?" Cragen asked in a no nonsense tone.

Elliot merely nodded, he knew he was on his last leg. One more fuck up and he'd have an even longer commute. He twisted his head to address the newcomer, keeping his eyes pinned to the wall behind her he coughed, "Ummm, follow-"

"I don't follow anyone Detective," Olivia sassed, thoroughly enjoying the reaction she was getting from her new partner.

"Oh-uhhm alright, right this way?" he made a sweeping motion with his hand, pointing her in a certain direction as he walked out behind her. Keeping his gaze on anything except for her, he shook his head, since when did he back down to someone?

"Which is mine?" Olivia asked as she tipped her head towards the cluster of desks.

Before Elliot could open his mouth Munch stood up, "Detective John Munch, it's a pleasure to meet Stabler's latest victi-I mean partner."

Olivia held out her hand, "Detective Olivia Benson."

"And to answer your question, it makes the most sense for you to take the desk across from your partner, right here," Munch patted the chair in question.

Elliot curled his hands into fists, this was exactly what he didn't want. He didn't know what was going on with him in that moment. Maybe he had missed a dose of his meds, but he was feeling things he hadn't felt since puberty, long before he took suppressants. All he knew was that he didn't think it was wise to be staring at this magnificent woman, every time he raised his head as they worked.

"Great thank you," Olivia smiled as she put her belongings away.

"Perhaps I could show you around, we could grab a coffee?" Munch inquired.

"Nooo," Elliot almost growled, the sound coming out of nowhere. "She's my partner, I'll give her the tour-"

Olivia cut him off, "I think what Detective Stabler is trying to say is thank you for offering, but I'm sure he has it handled?" she replied diplomatically, while raising one perfectly shaped eyebrow.

Elliot huffed, and turned stomping towards the elevators, "Come on!" he called over his shoulder, slapping the button as he waited for his new partner. He didn't know where that sudden possessiveness had come from, it was very out of character for him.

Together they stepped onto the elevator, Elliot took a deep calming breath and pushed the button for the basement level when he realized his mistake. The doors were closing, and suddenly she was all he could smell in the small enclosed space.

He couldn't help himself, he inhaled her scent. He had heard stories of people like her, but had never met someone like her before. His earlier reactions all made sense to him now.

Elliot really truly couldn't help himself, his body was responding to it's baser instincts. He always thought he was more evolved than most, especially thanks to his medications.

He closed his eyes, and knew this day, this scent, this moment; would be etched into his memory forever.

She was an alpha.

He was an omega.

A/N: I had to have 2 emergency surgeries last Thursday and this is what I dreamt of under anaesthetic… then my incision got infected over the weekend, and I wrote this with a fever, and on some heavy pain meds, so first off all mistakes my own, and secondly, I apologize ahead of time. This is definitely AU… outside the box of anything SVU related I've ever read. Let's face it though, Elliot easily gives off bi-curious vibes, and Olivia has BDE.

Warning this might get… kinky?

Drop a review if you want me to continue this… whatever this is.
