Maui Hospital

6:15 PM

Alicia felt a sudden flash of light shine upon her. It didn't matter anyway; she was already awake. She'd been awake for nearly 3 hours now. She'd been thinking on what she would say to Josh. It would be a lot easier to think though if Josh would leave her side for just a second. Alicia usually likes all attention on her, especially from guys, but she actually felt like Josh was a little too worried. It's not like she wasn't thankful to him for saving her, because she was extremely grateful that he had come to rescue her… but, she felt like he was suffocating her.

Alicia cracked open her eye just a tiny bit, hoping to see Josh looking away or something… but no such luck. He was there… staring. It was actually almost a little bit creepy.

"Alicia, you're awake! I was so worried." Josh exclaimed, hopping up from the cheap folding chair standing next to Alicia's hospital bed.

Alicia gave a shy smile. "Yea… I'm glad that you're here." She said awkwardly. To be honest, she really would rather him not be here. Quite frankly, he was making her uncomfortable.

Josh smiled that crooked smile of his that used to make Alicia's heart melt; but today, she couldn't stand to look at him. She didn't know why. She should be thanking Josh for saving her right now… he was her knight in shining armor. But she couldn't bring herself to thank him…

"Um… is Massie here by chance? Or Kris, Dyl, Claire?" Alicia broke the awkward silence between the two.

"Massie and Derrick just left. They had reservations at some fancy restaurant. Massie wanted to stay, but I insisted that they go. Claire is here. She pushed Cam in front of a car and apparently she is having a breakdown. And then Kristen's here too; she's with Kemp. David and him got in a fist fight and Kemp is in critical condition. She refuses to leave his side. Dylan and Chris are on their way, though." Josh explained.

"Wow." Alicia said in shock. She couldn't believe this! Claire pushed Cam in front of a car? Kemp and David in a fist fight over Kristen? What is going on?

She wasn't sure of some things, but Alicia was positive of one: she had to leave ASAP.

Claire's POV

Claire pulled out yet another tissue from her purse. She had a pile mile high of tissues next to her, but she couldn't stop crying. Her nose and eyes were red and looked sore; she looked like a mess.

"I'm an idiot. I'm an idiot. I'm such a damn idiot…" Claire repeated to herself as she looked at Cam in his cheap, flimsy hospital bed.

"How could I do this?" she wailed, grabbing about another 10 tissues.

"Claire…" she heard a weak voice call.

"Cam? Cam?!" Claire exclaimed.

Cam cocked his head slightly to the left. Just enough so Claire could catch a glimpse of his green eye.

"You're not the idiot. I am." He said. Claire could tell he was trying so hard just to manage his words. Just looking at him… in the pain that she caused him made her burst into tears again.

She shook her head no. How could Cam be so forgiving. How could he forgive her, after what she had done to him?

"Claire… get the nurse." Cam barely managed. His face went pale, and Claire swore she saw his eyes turn black.

"NURSE! HELP!!!"Claire panicked.

Seconds later, three nurses and two doctors came rushing in to transfer Cam into the emergency room.

"I love you Claire." Cam whispered as they carried him out of his hospital room. You could barely hear him, but yet, Claire had never heard it so clearly.

Massie's POV

Derrick held out Massie's chair for her as she sat down into the large, luxurious, leather chair.

"Thank You, babe." Massie smiled sweetly.

"You look beautiful, Mass." He complimented her as he sat down himself.

"You're not looking so bad yourself." She joked.

He laughed nervously. Massie detected a bit of unsteadiness.

She took a sip of water as she observed him closely. She noticed that he was sweating… more than usual. And he seemed unusually giddy.

"Is there something wrong? You seem nervous about something…" Massie asked suspiciously.

"Nope, nothing's wrong… everything's perfect." He answered, quite simply.

"Oh, well then why are you so… jumpy?" she hesitated, unsure of his answer. Did she even want to know?

"You'll see." He smiled. Massie couldn't help to beam when she saw him smile, his puppy dog eyes admiring her beauty. He made her feel like a princess. He was right… everything was perfect. But she was dying to know what he was so excited about.

She rushed through dinner so she could find out sooner. "Whoa, Mass. Calm down. I've never seen you eat this fast." He laughed.

"I know. I just really want to know what you need to tell me. I mean if you're excited it must be huge! You only get excited if it's something major. You weren't even excited when I managed to get those Limited Edition Chanel Glasses, and that was HUGE!" Massie explained.

Derrick laughed at the memory. "Well trust me, my news is even bigger than Chanel Glasses!"

Massie shook in excitement. "I've never seen you eat this slow!" she exclaimed, getting impatient.

Derrick laughed. "Fine, I'll put you out of your misery." He called for the check and the couple made their way out to their private balcony.

"Wow." Massie said in awe. Her chin literally dropped. Derrick had the balcony covered with rose petals and a hot tub installed. There was also a huge king-sized bed next to the balcony. Massie smiled at the thought of what they'd be doing tonight.

She turned and embraced Derrick. She kissed him on the forehead and said, "It's perfect. You're perfect."

"And this isn't even the best part." He winked.

Derrick slipped his right hand into his pocket and pulled out a jewelry box.

He got down on one knee, opened the box, and there was the most gorgeous engagement ring Massie had ever seen.

"Oh My God." Massie heard herself mumble as her eyes filled with tears.

"Massie Block, will you marry me?"

Cliffy!!!
